“Henry Higgins bagels are unmatched in Portland. I'm sorry to be the dreadful "I grew up in NY" person, but I'm going to do it just because I'm so impressed by these bagels. All through high-school bagels were a breakfast staple and snack as a hungry teen. There were even a few corporate chain stores that had great boiled bagels. But Portland is a deadzone for good boiled bagels. Henry Higgins does it right though. So good. I'd be very sad if they disappeared.”

“Wonderful little coffee shop. Super quirky and authentic- as in, a real-down home shop operated every day by its owners, who clearly love their business. The couple who owns it are lovely and the lady half of the couple, who runs the front, is sassy. Tip her well and buy some extra snacks for later. The food is surprisingly delicious for not having a full kitchen setup. It's magic. The bacon cheeseburger is SO GOOD!!! This shop is a real gem. Please support. And don't sit around taking up one of their few tables doing work for hours during busy times. Just let them turn their tables and make their money. We need to keep people like this in business the best we can especially in these times. This is not only REAL PORTLAND, but a lovingly-run immigrant-owned business. I love this little shop ?”
