“Nearly all of the reviews about this hidden gem indicate that this is not an ideal place to go. As of this morning, 15 April 2021, I can tell you that THIS IS NOT THE CASE!! The menu selection is just what you need for a quick bite of food. I had an English muffin breakfast sandwich (made to order) and some fresh fruit, along side a sugar-free Redbull. Coffee, cappuccino, espresso etc are available and soft drinks are plentiful. This cafe is not a huge establishment so seating is not available do to stupid Covid, but hauling your items back to the hotel is easy and quick. There is also the river to watch as you eat your food and drink your coffee. I watched the Portland weather report while I waited for my turn in line. I'm at the hotel next door (Rivers Edge) and just passing through. You should definitely check this place out. It is always good to support the little guy, especially now during these 'uncertain' times. To the owner: Thank you very much for the excellent experience! “I'm a real donut lover. I seen it new donut locations wherever I have the chance. I was thrilled to find another donut establishment. I must say when I first walked in I wasn't sure what to expect from the quality of their donuts because they didn't have a big selection like I was expecting. They were only about a dozen choices maybe. For as big as the building is you would really think they would have more choices. I was more than pleasantly surprised when I tried a tropical delight donut because it was one of the best donuts I've ever tried. There were so many flavors packed into this one diamond donut. A lot of their donuts have alcohol in them which I have also never tried. The apple cider fritter was okay but something I probably won't be trying again. That tropical delight on the other hand is something I would drive miles out of my way to get another one of. Oh and a quick heads up, the donuts costs about $12...I know, but seriously try the tropical delight.”

“Henry Higgins bagels are unmatched in Portland. I'm sorry to be the dreadful "I grew up in NY" person, but I'm going to do it just because I'm so impressed by these bagels. All through high-school bagels were a breakfast staple and snack as a hungry teen. There were even a few corporate chain stores that had great boiled bagels. But Portland is a deadzone for good boiled bagels. Henry Higgins does it right though. So good. I'd be very sad if they disappeared.”

“Overall a good SB. Cleanliness is spotty but they do clean often as seen in this picture. I think I caught them as they were on rotation as there was some half spilt y’all drink on the floor when I came in. Drinks are 90% correct overall. So a good practice to occasionally check your drink if you’re a regular. Staff are friendly and this store seems to visually embody/match starbucks alignment in that folks from all walks of life are welcome. Conversations behind the counter are always customer first. It’s rare that I’ve experienced a personal conversation present in lieu of customer interest. The SB is of average size but is well maintained. Parking is pretty alright and easy parking for early AM coffee drinkers (6am-8am crowd). Worth a visit and would recommend. I’ve done visits during all hours and would say their best service and “fullness” of their seating/availability is around noon and evenings. Mornings are crazy here, even on weekends.”

GCB has taken many thoughtful measures to ensure our safety from virus. And the service was still friendly and speedy. The Veggie Grinder sandwich was really scrumptious, then a perfectly baked and delicate pecan sticky bun for dessert :-)”

“Back when this location was still open, it was my favorite Starbucks in downtown! I went here all the time before PSU classes and loved grabbing a coffee and sitting in the nearby park.
