“Hopworks made for a very pleasant lunch destination - the permeable surface in their parking lot made an immediate favorable impression. I'm more than 40 years away from qualifying for their lowest priced special for nearby high school students, but they have an excellent variety of other lunch specials - most involving combinations of pizza, salads, and beverages with or without alcohol. I went with the 1/2 grinder and a salad, which turned out to be the perfect amount of food for me. One of the people in our group had a salad and elected to try their meatless chicken option, and was very impressed - I'm thinking of trying it on my next visit. Possibly my favorite part of my most recent visit was the smell... between beer being brewed, and an indication that some of their breads are baked in house, it was a very pleasant wait while our food was being prepared. The only letdown for me was that I didn't think the bread was a perfect match for my grinder's contents. The bread seemed drier and chewier than I was expecting. The quality of the pizza was fine, but this location has some strong competition surrounding it on Division, Foster, and Gladstone that keep it from being what I would consider a true pizza destination. But if beer is your goal, I can recommend Hopworks without hesitation.”

“Didn’t have the lobby open at 8:40am and there’s a special needs guy standing out front freezing while I wave through the windows and they wave back. At least let him in, I may have a car but he clearly doesn’t. Food was pretty good though. Not quite a dollar menu anymore (some items are 1.29) but Taco Bell is still always cheaper than any other fast food and not nearly as greasy.”

“I’ve been a Bing Mi customer for years and they have always been one of my favorite food carts in Portland. The service is always friendly and the food is delicious. Perfect mix of wonton cracker, egg, perfectly done vegetables and the sausage add-on is nice to make it a little more hardy if needed. They’ve recently started a duck add-on and it’s DELICIOUS! Very tender and flavorful. Highly recommend.”

“They have always had good pizza, they always deliver warm pizza as I won't accept a room temp pizza ever. So no matter if you may have had a bad experience. That's one time out of hundreds in that particular situation and they not only reimbursed but gave a coupon for more than twice the cost of the pizza they got first. I would give five stars but would rather write it in detail if I'm putting it out to the public. Domino's has risen with all the new company's and still makes money. That's a huge undertaking.”

“Cute little bistro in the middle of a pretty residential area. The food choices are not vast but what they do offer is prepared well. I had a soup and salad combo and everything tasted nice. It was served with some bread and butter as well. The pricing is also fine, for the quantity provided. Its a nice cosy spot to visit with a friend for a meal. The decor inside is eclectic with antiques and curios, a kind of vibe that I like. My server was very friendly.”

“Service was excellent. I was there right at the end of happy hour on a Thursday. It was a light crowd. But the server had perfect timing getting me a menu and my order. Simple pepperoni slice and Moscow Mule. I was fairly disappointed in the quality of food n drink. The slice seemed brick oven. It had a crust bubble in it. Some of the crust was burnt left me with a nasty char taste. The mule drink didn’t seem like it was mixed well or maybe they’re using different liquor than I’m used to. They do have plenty of space to eat comfortably. They share a bathroom with the really nice hotel next door. There’s several places with better slices in Downtown than the crown. Skip this one, look around. I feel like this place is banking off their prime location.”

“The food is exactly what you expect from the Olive Garden chain. This particular one has some of the best staff I've ever seen in every restaurant. They are always right there when you need them, though they aren't hovering. The wait staff are amazing and make sure everyone at the table is having a good experience including my kid. I don't often have wait staff acknowledge my kid unless I direct them to ask her what she wants/needs. I've never had to do this here. In fact, I think they pay more attention to her! It's one of my favorite chain restaurants in the area.”
