“Finally tried Middle Child Clubhouse after hearing great things for a while now. We showed up around 530-6pm with a reservation and it was already very busy so be sure to snag a reservation. Inside the decor is fun and offbeat, with a deliberate green theme. The menu isn't super varied, but what is on offer should hit what most people are looking for. We tried the shrimp cocktail, seafood pot, latkas, and patty melt. Overall the food was solid, but not extraordinary. The drinks however were phenomenal with a great variety and punch. Dessert was also great, with 1-900 ice cream available. Will likely return to try breakfast or lunch, and would recommend a visit overall.”

“Finally got a chance to eat at Primary Plant Based and it didn’t disappoint. Everything was well prepared and flavorful! Chef Mark and the crew really know what they’re doing. Andrea the server was on her own tonight with a busy dining room and she was very attentive and on the ball! It’s nice to eat out at a restaurant that isn’t overpriced, doesn’t constantly bother you or forget about you and makes creative fun tasty vegan food. I’ll be back soon for sure! “The egg rolls, which remind me of Vietnamese fried rolls, were wonderful! My boyfriend and I found them wonderful - the pepper sauce was my favorite, and he preferred the duck sauce, which I suspect was homemade. They are, indeed stuffed with meat, with just enough veggie content to make them interesting. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. UPDATE: I ordered again, enough eggrolls (five trays!) for a party, some of each of them, and my guests were blown away. They are the perfect finger food, and guests were able to pick from several different sauces of different sweet/spicy levels.”

“Order the family tray from John's and I wasn't disappointed! Their sushi chef is, well, chef's kiss. We ordered it to go and the only knock was my wait time. I was initially peaved, but the food was worth the wait. There were a lot of sushi orders at the same time, but it didn't seem that busy on a Sunday afternoon. A lot of the former anesthetic from Blue Hops Angel and...whatever else this place used to be (sorry, there's just too much to remember) still remains. There are some updates that makes it more Japanese/Asian, but it's nothing crazy. I was extremely happy with my meal, especially because the other local sushi spot on this side of Northeast Philadelphia (Mr. Sushi) is not nearly as good as it used to be when it was Makiman. If you're craving sushi, don't want to head to Center City, or South Philly, give John's a try. You won't regret it.”

The people serving there are really friendly and the stew chicken and white rice taste fresh as I remember visiting DR, Me and my besti stopped by for breakfast and ordered a ham and cheese sandwich with fries. The owner told us that the fries were freshly cut from potatoes in the kitchen. I appreciate it for not having to taste freezer burnt tasting fries. I’m definitely coming back!!!”
