“For a beach snack bar, they made a damn good lobster roll. They did not skimp on the lobster. The fries were hot and crispy. I would have given it 5 stars but they ran out of Coke.”

“This a was nice restaurant. We went as the raw oysters are one a buck on Tuesday nights. The raw oysters was good but some were extremely small. The shrimp was really good. They have a nice atmosphere. Service was extremely slow and there was not that many people there.”

“I stopped in for lunch on Fourth of July weekend. I can't say enough about how well the wait staff treated me and even my dog! They made sure she had plenty of water throughout our meal. The lobster tacos with guacamole were outstanding - nice large chunks of lobster meat. The meal was a good size and kept me full enough to skip supper. I picked up a chicken tender appetizer for the pooch and tried a bite. Also very good. The chicken was very fresh and the breading was crisp and flavorful - no grease. They have a nice local/regional beer selection on tap as well as the standards. If you like to people watch it has an open front and you can see out from most of the seats in the bar and restaurant area”

“An absolutely fantastic experience. Cara is fine dining without the stuffiness. Passion is evident from the kitchen to the waitstaff to the amazing flavors. It’s really just about amazing food. Tour the kitchen if you get a chance, the enormous custom stove is one of only a few in the country. Cole was a perfect server and put us at ease and comfort throughout the night. Service was attentive but not intrusive: The scallops were perfect, and the oxtail stew under it was rich and complex. The lobster and gnocchi was the best I’d ever had. Wine list was stellar and. The desert was fantastic. A five star experience for our valentines dinner. Bravo Cara!”

“Great experience. Right close to everything but just slightly away from all the tourist sports. Open air with a nice bar. Wise I went there earlier in my trip”

“I definitely appreciate the personal and unique touches on this bistro in town. I have no Aussie experience so my friend and I went along. We asked for assistance when ordering as we wanted those uniquely Australian dishes. We both had the meat pie and we were both delighted with the rich, dark flavors of the ingredients and the flakiness of the pastry.”

“Servers are always great. They really add to the atmosphere!! Wine that is (at most!) $18 in store is $49 on menu. Shame!!! Pizza is GREAT, so are most pasta dishes. Yummy bread. Cool Palm Beach decor. Most tables are loud, depending on the time of day. Front of house has windows open, so a/c better in the back. New tables and firepit areas in back, looks as though they will open this area soon? Bathrooms are grubby, floors, doors are gross & need a big scrub!!! Cushioned banquettes are stained. Maybe need to have more sets of covers made, so they can be cleaned. Certainly among top 5 picks for food in Newport.”

“Perro Salado is my new favorite Mexican restaurant. The cocktails are fantastic and the food is authentic and mouth watering. The tamarind-rubbed and braised short ribs enchiladas from the make-your-own taqueria portion of the menu were phenomenally on point. The restaurant resides in a converted original Newport house, so the dining is spread through different rooms with unique vibes. My personal favorite space is the back bar.”

“Possibly the best restaurant that I've visited in Newport. Lovely food from a select menu, unlike so many who serve pub food at best, but charge high end restaurant prices. Nice atmosphere in pleasant, modern surrounding. Highly recommended.”

“Our waitress Jo was a pleasant and very helpful young woman. Really liked her and the food. Well. It was just amazing. Best pan seared chicken I have ever had. Very moist and full of flavor. The Reuben Cuban was delicious. I would definitely recommend and visit again. It's worth a try. Interesting history Also. Very cool”

“We went in on a Sunday evening - they seem to have a seat yourself policy here. We sat down just below the pool table. Our server (Kathleen I think) was very good. The cheeseburger was $10. They have a fairly good selection of beers - the cheapest was Coors at $5 and I think the most expensive was $8. After the food we weren't rushed out so sat there and enjoyed the live Irish music which was on until 9 p.m. Overall it was a great night out”

“Second time dining at Joe’s and it did not disappoint. This time we sat at the bar downstairs and also ate downstairs which we liked better than upstairs. The food was amazing, half chicken, calamari, and scallops are winners. Staff is friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is lovely. Will definitely be going back when we visit next year!”

“Very nice people, the atmosphere works but it isn't high class. If you just want to try something new in a simple setting this place will fit your needs. Not overly priced, about $20 to $25 for a Hookah set up for 2 and their specialty creations are fun. It's BYOB with a $1 pouring fee. I'd suggest buying waters. Easy to get dried out. Molasses is an option for the tobacco free types. If you're going for the belly dancers.... Friday night's. Not always guaranteed, if you're able call ahead for details.”

“Hands down, the food was great. The service is bit cold, but swift and professional. Just a tiny note..it does not make sense to me asking me how do I want my steak cooked when it is not followed. I guess it's just a ritual..”

“Simple idea, order great bbq, sit, eat in a nice, clean place. Although of course I love the beefs and porks, what I truly look forward to is the buttery and smoky turkey breast the way they cook it here. Turns turkey into butter. Awesome.”

“Active restaurant and bar. Lunch and evening menus are both great. Reasonably priced foods and drinks. Staff constantly asked if service was needed, which was great even during the busy evening I was there. Plenty drinks to chose from as well. Staff did add erroneous drinks to a friend's tab, which was fixed. When asked why they were added, they stated "the other bar tender told me to add it." Call that what you want. I will be going back because of the service and food. I hope not to run across that issue again because the establishment was outstanding.”
