Monahan's by the Cove

i am so excited that the old hitching post building is being used to its full potential with the new MONAHANS BY THE COVE!! i can’t say enough about the amazing food and service. the clam cakes were delicious and the chowder is easily the best i have ever had. we used to drive to the narragansett location all the time and now it is so much closer and more convenient! my favorite is the hot lobster roll great price and they give you a hefty amount of lobster! this is exactly what the charlestown community needed, what an upgrade!! highly recommend.

So excited to have Monahan's by the Cove here in Charlestown! Enjoyed lunch there twice already with my family and we were all very pleased with our choices! The food is just a delicious as their Narragansett location, but now close to our home! This is a such a great new location and I wish them all the best!

They are super busy at prime times, be patient and go play some corn hole. It is worth the wait.

I’ve been to the new location 6 times since their opening. Great food at decent prices. I’ve lived in the area for the past 18 years. I visited the hitching post once in the 17 years. Scallops are excellent! I enjoy the fish sandwich with the salsa on it. White chowder is excellent as well. I’m not a clam cake fan, but two guest that joined me enjoyed theirs.
