“If you want a good bread sandwich this is the place. Option for no bread are limited to soup and salad. Soups are good. Salads are all lettuce, grilled chicken seems like bought pre made. Not grilled and rubbery. Cesar salad made with Greek oil and herb dressing. Prices are high. Cup of Soup, salad w/ chicken and small ice tea was $25.00 without tip. I don’t mind paying if it’s good and this was just average.”

“My family and I eat here once or twice a month. The food is excellent. Any Italian restaurant starts and ends with their red sauce from my perspective. Tates’ is excellent. Tangy and delicious. Their steak is also excellent even though it is cooked in a pan. As good as most high end steak restaurants at half the cost. The service has always been very good as well. This is a hidden gem nestled in Wickford and is well worth a visit!”

“Food here is awesome! Drinks are great, and usually the service is wonderful. Just had drinks/apps today, but the only reason I did not give 5 stars was the waitress we had, Claire. Seemed nice at first, but brisk; clearly trying to turn the table as soon as possible, which shouldn’t be so obvious to a customer. There was no one waiting to sit (it was 2-2:30pm). I had my last piece of pizza in my hand, and while I was taking my first bite of it, she took my plate away; I had nothing else on the table to put my pizza back down on. She came back and asked if we wanted coffee or dessert, and we said no as we just wanted to finish our drinks (which we had just gotten from her). She came back right away with the check; no biggie, but it seemed like she was trying to rush us out. We paid (credit card), and we signed and tipped quickly when she came back. As soon as we signed, she grabbed the signed receipts and never said a word to us; no thank you or have a nice night. Felt so awkward since we still had full drinks.”

“Fantastic food, fresh and delicious. Comfortable atmosphere and unmatched service. The Salmon and Crab cakes are delicious. We've tried almost every menu item, everything tastes fresh and flavorful. The desert menu has a delicious selection including an amazing Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp. Michelle was our waitress this last visit, she was extremely attentive, professional and made sure we were happy along with the rest of her tables. “If you love pizza especially Chicago Deep Dish pizza then you must stop here. We were greeted right away by our waitress, and very nice atmosphere. We ordered the cheese fries and deep dish pizza and it was amazing. If you order the cheese fries get the pizza sauce on the side for dipping, its amazing. The fries are seasoned and delicious. The deep dish is true Chicago style, and very cheesy. A small is good for two people. Bikers if you are in the area stop here. Great menu too, a lot of good food to choose from. Highy recommended!”

“Though I've lived close by for a while, I finally decided today to try Mae's Place, and I regret waiting so long to do it. My mom went a few days ago and said she had a great wrap and some amazing sweet potato fries (this coming from a woman who isn't really a fan of sweet potato fries.) So anyways, I went for breakfast and tried the lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberry syrup. Hands down, the best pancakes I have ever eaten. Holy moly. A nice tang from the lemon and ricotta, sweet blueberry syrup, and a burst of freshness from some blueberries sprinkled on top. And of course, gotta have some whipped cream on top to really set it all off. I also got a side of home fries and they were, as my boyfriend and I say, the "good home fries" as in not the fried little cubes of flavorless potatoes, but rather, deliciously seasoned sauteed potatoes. Again I'll say, I regret not visiting Mae's sooner and I can't wait to go back.”

“Great little place which has been around forever. My regular server, Harmony, is fabulous. She gives fantastic service & is as sweet as pie. She always gets my complicated, annoying order correct! Ask for Harmony when you visit. She's a new mom & must be a good one, because she can take care of 20 customers at once & not miss a beat. Smiling the whole time ???? Food is delicious and reasonably priced. I guess I can't give Harmony all of the credit as the cooks do a fantastic job as well! They are always very, very busy, and the place is small. You should go early or late, otherwise you will have to wait!”
