“Stopped by today for my family of six, and it was awesome! Great variety of sandwiches for each of us, but the roast beef (get the three-way!) was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Also, the chicken parm was made with a vodka sauce, which is very different/delicious. They also had a variety of soups (which was a surprise) which were very good in a chilly winter day. Parking was very easy. We talked with the owner and he was super nice and welcoming, you can feel that a lot of love is put into this new sandwich shop. Will definitely be back!”

“Take it from me….If you’re only in Newport for one night, choose Chanterelle for dinner. Every detail from the door to the dinner was first class. Carmen, Dan, and Cin (?) were professional yet personal rendering the service and hospitality nothing short of excellent. However, it’s the food that you want reviewed, so….. The Cornish Hen was phenomenal with the sauce and each vegetable made to perfection. The pear tart is something to be experienced. (Hint: Ask for extra ice cream. You’ll thank me later.) Don’t forget to order coffee with dessert. The only disappointment for me is that I’m going home tomorrow and won’t be able to try more dishes.”

“Very small place. Nice staff. Food was very tasty to me. Maybe I haven’t had too many Pak Aghan food but to my taste buds they were good. The plates were served very bare bones. My beef mixed grill was served only on the rice and nothing else. No sides, no garnish. Portions were also definitely on the smaller side. I ordered and confirmed my lamb curry only to find that it was entered as chicken so we had chicken curry. It was very flavorful but also very small for the price too. The naan was very soft, fluffy, and also very good. My kids were very amused at the $3.50 2 liter soda that I bought vs the 2.00 can. We got there just as another family finished so we were able to sit down at the floor dining area. It was a nice addition to add to the experience.”

“My daughter brought me for dinner on my visit from California. We started with the house made burrata, cacio de pepe garlic knots, and mozzarella sticks. I will 100% be craving these when I get back home. HIGHLY recommended all three. The mozzarella is topped with a tad of marinara and bonito flakes... AMAZING! Since I won't be back before my daughter moves, we decided to order two pizzas - Margherita and Fun Guy (mushroom). Since we weren't thoroughly satisfied with the Fun Guy, they took it off of the bill. Which I did not ask or expect, but greatly appreciate. To finish, we had the absolute BEST pistachio gelato I've ever eaten in my life. We had my grand babies with us, and all of the staff was very kind and accommodating. Overall very satisfied.”
