It eased like no one noticed they had more customers but eye contact was made so staff knew. The food was ok but we've had better. “This restaurant is on a very quiet Hilton Head Beach next to several Mariott Villa complexes. The ambience is super relaxing, the service very prompt and personalized and the food certainly worth it. I ordered a grilled catfish with fries. Two people in my party ordered bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp and one person ordered a fried shrimp. Everything was exceptionally good. And neighborhood Marriott guests get a discount too.????”

She even went as far as to bring an "extra" drink to our table when she realized that there was more in the blender then they needed. She was an all around gem. “Well, it's iconic, and not cheap, but it didn't price me out either. Everything I tasted was done really well, and I wish we could have tried some of the appetizers, but we were only there for lunch. It's right on the water, they have activities for children on certain days and music in the evenings. They certainly cater to tourists, and the experience is really nice all around, with shops adjacent on the marina. Plus, they're only open until 10, so if you're staying nearby, you won't be bothered by noise.”

“The best thing about Jake's pizza is that they are wonderfully convenient. If you are staying in Sea Pines and need a quick, easy meal this is the way to go. That being said, you should know ahead of time that this convenience, and not great pizza, is what you are paying for. $20 for a large cheese pizza is extremely high compared to most pizza places. The pizza itself is not bad. The cheese and sauce are good. The dough is rolled through a roller rather than being hand tossed, so it is robbed of the texture that you would normally expect of NY style pizza. I could understand their prices more if the pizza was excellent and/or they had a large dine in space resulting in more overhead costs. They are serving ok pizza out of what is basically a large closet with walk up service only. They should be able to do better for the money they are charging. We will order Jake's pizza again but only when we are pressed for time and/or want something easy and convenient.”

“We had lunch, really terrific. Arguably the best meal we had during our two weeks on the island. French Onion soup is a must! We ordered a grilled brie ham and cheese sandwich and a tuna Asian slaw salad. The portions were huge. We could have split either easily. Both meals were really great. Did I mention the french onion soup? Service was outstanding - great recommendations from a knowledgeable staff. While its casual (like everyplace on the island) I dont think I'd want to come in from the pool/ beach without changing. Easy parking. Oh, and the french onion soup!”

If you are in the area and are looking for pizza do not settle for anything less! We have been traveling to hilton head for the past 20 years and this is by far the best joint ever! Just wish they have been open for longer! The skinny sticks are really good but just wish they gave you more. Also if you are looking for a good judgment on how much to buy, we had 5 people and two 16” pizzas was the perfect amount. I believe we had two or three slices left over. Hope this helps!”

“Excellent dinner. We've eaten everywhere in Sea Pines and I think this is one of the best meals we've had. All the food was obviously freshly prepared. I had a nice crab cake sandwich and my husband had a steak cooked right outside on the grill. Kids had a nice burger with awesome steak fries and fresh fruit. Kids menu wasn't as extensive as some but what they offer is quality. We've always loved their breakfast (the donuts ????) but definitely check them out for dinner.”

Very friendly service, too! This restaurant is in an old building with a bit of history behind it, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. “The portions felt a little small. Perhaps this is because I am a bigger guy and I eat more than others, but it felt like they were skimping a little. The crab cakes were very good, but they were small, the hush puppies were delicious, but not too many in the basket. My son referred to them as donut holes, without the icing. Very good, I just wish there were more of them. The she crab soup was very tasty and my wife's tacos and sweet potato fries did not disappoint. Our wait wasn't too long for our food and the service was good. The restrooms could use an update, they felt very "1980s ish" if you will. Clean, just dated. The view of the harbor is one of the best in all of Hilton Head.”
