“We've tried a few new restaurants each week since we moved here last year. We recently discovered Bumpa's when our friend visited us for the weekend. The atmosphere and building is very nice, and the staff is equally nice and inviting. Our server (forgot her name) was informative and I asked her for any recommendations, and she was on point! The 3 of us each tried different burgers with different sides. The hush puppies were great! Fries nicely seasoned. The burgers - phenomenal! There was a guy there performing with his guitar and he played good songs and took requests. We will be back!”

“One of the best views of Charleston. I got lucky enough to go with a good group and just soak it all up. This is a nicer bar with great cocktails in a nice hotel with amazing views. Don’t be surprised by the prices. It’s a great stop to have a cocktail and just enjoy the finer things Charleston has to offer. Really glad I stopped by for the first time Saturday. “Platia has always been my favorite stop on the way home from Charleston bars during college and now, years later, I am still a fan! I've tried all the gyros by now and I still don't have a favorite, they're all so good that I keep on rotating. Salads are great too! The pandemic has not been kind to food trucks but the dedication the owner has to their humble place on Magnolia has kept their support strong. You feel like you're walking into an upscale pedestrian house, and I mean that in a good way. The service was friendly and the menu is well-varied, with lots of small plates to choose from. The oysters were great as was the ceviche and tartare. The not-so-good: Prices are high for what you get. I realize it's an upscale experience, but the price wasn't 100% justified by the quality of the food. They have an excellent selection of all different variations of sushi, all of which are great. They even offer hibachi, which is some of the best in the area. Overall amazing food, and for a great price. You feel like you're getting a deal even if you only order a plate of hibachi and one roll! You cant get it that cheap anywhere. Me and my girlfriends come here about once a week now. We tell everyone to stop by, and take all our friends! No complaints from anyone we have brought here. All are ready to come back by again!”
