“Had 2 places we were going to try this morning and both were unexpectedly closed. Took a chance on this little place after hearing about it, yesterday. It was cozy inside with a fireplace and several seating options. We split a scrambler bowl and a decaf Mountain Fog. The bowl (4 eggs, sausage, cheddar, and spinach) was a good idea. Unfortunately, there was not enough sausage or spinach ($1.00 extra) to keep it interesting. The spicy Mayo was a good choice. I had never tried that before and liked the idea of it on eggs. The Mountain Fog was delicious. Interesting decor. My only complaint about the atmosphere is that in such a cozy, comfortable hideaway, there would be such dark and disturbing images on the walls. The images of people falling into Hell, or of Alice(?) carrying a severed head, were completely incongruous with the simple Country vibe present in the rest of the Bistro.”

“The breakfast was great! I got a breakfast croissant and hubby got biscuits and gravy with sausage. The sausage patties are hand formed. The gravy is made from scratch. It was all just a great home cooked meal. If you have to wait for a table...it is well worth it. I don't go around saying that cause I hate waiting. Go there! You won't regret it!”

“Jacob's is a sweet gem in Deadwood! The sophisticated rustic decor is on point. The cocktails are fantastic! The food was solid. I ordered the Buck Yeah with very high expectations. Sounded so good but fell a little short for me. Food was very good. Just not the best I've ever had. The only reason for the 4 stars. Everything else was wonderful.”

“I stayed here for two weeks while finding a place to live. The room I was in was tiny but perfect for my needs and at a price you can't beat. I especially loved the shower! The pressure from the nozzle was amazing. The location was just right. I was far enough away from the tourist district and all the foot traffic but close enough to walk to any place I needed to go. During my stay I found the staff to be pleasant and accommodating. The friendliness of the front desk staff and the house keeper gave me a feeling of home and belonging. They were extremely helpful whenever I had questions. The restaurant on the property doesn't have the best selection of food but I was extremely happy with the grilled chicken salad they serve. This was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had.”

“What a great little place!! Everything we tried here was fantastic! We had several sweet roll breakfast bombs and two huge cinnamon rolls. All freshly baked and delicious. Great coffee, both iced and hot. Most notable, aside from the excellent food, was the incredible service. The owner was so welcoming and friendly, and went out of her way to make sure everything was to our liking. Make sure to stop here for breakfast during a trip to deadwood.”

“So we were out walking this morning and decided to stop by Lotus Up and have a drink. My partner had a berry smoothie and I had a breve. Both drinks were very tasty and served quick. If you want a really good espresso drink, they still use a real machine! No super autos here! The coffee has a nice flavor, so go and enjoy! They have a cool view of the mine from the outside deck too.”
