“Really amazing service, friendly, fast, accurate and accommodating. The 14 oz ribeye was wonderful, obviously local, South Dakota beef, well marbled, juicy, and delicious, cooked to order. They were able to accommodate our group of 10, which wasn't obvious from the looks of the bar in front, but the restaurant in back was well large enough to take us all. The fries were good, the onion rings had a super crisp crust on them, but the big winner were the sweet potato fries, which had a super light crisp crust on waffle cut sweet potatoes. Those were amazing. The burgers were all beautifully char grilled and were substantial, you can order them by the weight of the patty and how many patties you want. Lots of great choices and a whole menu of bottled beers as well as the full service bar.”

“Stopped in to check out the place since we haven’t been here in about 8 years. Enjoyed buffet supper and checked out the pool. Despite the heat it was pretty quiet there! Want some things at the store? Nice they aren’t gouging people and had reasonable prices on necessities like laundry soap, shampoo and conditioner. Facilities and bathrooms are clean very impressed as it was one of the cleanest we’ve been to throughout our stay around Sturgis the last 10 days. And our group came to the conclusion that next time we be booking in here as they appeared, organized, clean, and tidy.”

When my wife and I walked in she informed us of a discounted rate on the buffet for people over 62. We did not expect this but we definitely appreciated it. “Music playing was great. Only one waitress, but she did a good job. I ordered a French dip with fries. My husband ordered a southwestern chicken fajita sandwich with fries. Waited around 20 minutes for food, even though the other folks that were waiting had already been served. When our food came out, the French fries tasted like fried shrimp, and my sandwich was falling apart due to the meat being shaved and not sliced. My husband had ordered jalepeños with his sandwich, which he didn't get and we had to ask for them. We could only taste the bell peppers on his sandwich and not the chicken. I HIGHLY recommend using separate fryers for seafood and other fried products.”

“The service was great! We ordered pulled pork, brisket, pizza, a pretzel, and egg rolls! The pulled pork sandwich was excellent and came with tater tots (they were perfect). The brisket was good (a little cold) and came with smoked baked beans (amazing). The pretzel had a garlic butter sauce which was just enough and the eggs rolls were great (the sauce was spicy and just a tade too much for my taste). The pizza crust was excellent but the sauce had no flavor (very bland). Overall it was excellent and I would definitely recommend giving it a try!”

The regional favorite meal of tenderloin tips are the best you will get anywhere in the state. They are cooked medium rare and melt in your mouth from locally sourced beef. “Stopped by the Sturgis store for a pizza, I had a coupon. The Manager, Matt was upfront with me and said it's going to be a while. He had 18 pizzas ahead of me. I said that it was alright I'd stop by when I was back in town as I was headed to Rapid City. He suggested he would contact the Piedmont store and it would be ready by the time I got there. It all worked out just as it was meant to be, it was all due to the OUTSTANDING customer service and dedication to doing the right thing that Matt has as a manager. Kudos to your work ethic!!°”

I fully understand the demands on facilities being short staffed and under pressure, but assigning wait staff and the system used by Elk Creek was simply inexcusable. When the party of two and the party of four that were seated AFTER our party of four, all were DONE eating before we were served, that took the cake. Something in the SERVICE area is broken here. Great food but leave yourself plenty of time to be able to enjoy it.”
