“Conveniently located across the street from the Aquarium we found a very good authentic Mexican Restaurant. We were seated right away and drinks with chips and freshly made salsa came rapidly. We started with a good guacamole with flour type chips. And moved on to a beef taco and cheese enchilada with rice and beans. All were very good. Service was excellent and friendly even on a busy Saturday afternoon in June. Side note.. We parked in the parking garage behind the Aquarium for a fee but it saved the hassle of looking for a parking spot.”

“Husband and I are hooked on our whole food plant based diet so traveling is a challenge when it comes to eating out. We had a horrible experience the day before and so were delighted to find this place. The potato salad is divine. Chunky, with just the right amount of dressing and condiments--five stars. The grilled veggie wraps and the lentil burgers were also tasty and satisfying, and clean (not oily). We ate lunch there and then each took a burger, a veggie wrap, a side of potato salad and a pasta salad, to enjoy after our 5.4 mile round trip hike to Rainbow falls. The owner who served us was so nice and she did a great job packing up our lunches-to-go. And boy were we happy to have that food on hand when we got back to our car after our hike.”

“Flapjack's was not busy the morning after Memorial Day. The rustic, log cabin look inside did not offset the hard benches and uncomfortable wood trim on the top of the benches. First, the waitress was great. The food was not so great. Pancakes were not warm - not quite body temperature. I ordered one of the skillet meals. It wasn't prepared in the skillet - it was simply placed in a cold skillet which absorbed the heat of the food instead of keeping it warm. My wife requested her eggs well done with no runny egg whites. They came with runny egg whites. The coffee was good and the left a small carafe of hot coffee - very nice. We had to ask for splenda, more napkins, and twice for sugar-free syrup.”

“We arrived a little after 6:00 and had no problem getting a table for 2. Trudy was an awesome server! I ordered the grilled chicken with steamed broccoli and my husband ordered the blackened trout. Both meals were delicious! The chicken had a wonderful flavor and was not dry. The homemade hush puppies and chips were great to munch on. It was our anniversary so the waitress gave us free slices of pie. The key lime pie was so good with a homemade crust. We will return when we visit again!”

“Great food and atmosphere. We stopped in here on a whim as we didn’t want to eat in the busy downtown area. We found it on google and decided to try it out. Very quaint location on the top of a mountain. Food was good and the spoon bread and spinach dip was wonderful. We lucked out and got right in but reservations are probably recommended. The dress code was a bit upscale which we didn’t realize. By The pictures on google we didn’t realize this was a completely renovated restaurant and a new menu. Menu is limited but still had good choices. We would definitely eat here again when we are back in town. Good for special occasions. Our waiter was down to earth and very polite. Drinks were great too.”

“Everything is made to order so it's fresh and the staff is really friendly. Even when they are busy the wait time is no more than 10 minutes for your food (which is really good in my opinion). “I came here on the last day of my family vacation and I have to say this is definitely the place to go to eat. All the workers are extremely friendly. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a wonderful woman, one of the other waiters, I wish I remembered his name but he has three daughters, gave one of our little girls a piece of candy which was so nice. Our waitress was Brandi and she was absolutely phenomenal. It was pretty busy when we came but she was very tentative and friendly and gave us anything we needed. We had ordered a couple of things but the best thing we ordered were the wings with brimstone sauce that Brandi recommended. They were the best wings I’ve had hands down. Oh and their BBQ sauce is definitely one of a kind.”
