“I was born and raised in San Diego, and lived their for 40 years. I was really hoping to find good Mexican food when I moved here. I don't know how to explain it, but the rolled tacos were more like flautas and the beans are better at Taco Bell (I don't like Taco Bell). The look and feel is down bit the dust food just isn't there.”

“I had the smoked meatloaf, served with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was very flavorful, a great comfort food meal. My wife had spicy grilled shrimp over grits with a Cajun sauce. If you like a little heat, this dish was excellent. The service was good, and the atmosphere down home. We were happy we made the 30 minute trip from Nashville.”

“I hadn't been there in 20 years. The food was really good and priced reasonably. I had fried mushrooms with horseradish sauce for an appetizer. Very tasty and I ate them all. For dinner, I ate the steak and biscuits. (I remember Ireland's) and they were really good, they came with the same horseradish sauce as before, but it went well with the beef. I drank Beer...Root beer, give them a try, you will be glad you did.”

“The food was fine, but call me old fashioned, I like to feel welcome at a place where I'm spending money. The little girl at the register appeared bored and a little impatient with us as we decided what we wanted to order. It was our first time here and we had no idea what we wanted until we got familiar with the menu. You'd think the employee would have either made suggestions, or mentioned something on the menu they do well, or maybe acknowledged that it is our first visit and offered to help. Maybe the employee should let us know where the drinks are, and that there is a crock pot that should have BBQ sauce bottles in it. I looked around at the few other tables and noticed the bottles and had to track one down for us. It wasn't until after we ate that I noticed they had a spicy sauce too. Only one bottle of that though and someone else must have had it. The person who brought our food was about as friendly and didn't mention any of the earlier info either, just dropped off the food and bolted. The guy behind the bar looked just as enthusiastic as the rest. Bottom line, the food is fine, but if the employees don't want to be there, neither do I.”

The home-made potato chips were very good. The BLT maybe could have used another slice of bacon, but then what BLT couldn't benefit from another slice of bacon? “I had their southwest quinoa bowl. It was very good. The portion sizes could increase a bit but I’m sure that’s the healthy approach they are making towards food. All of the food was surprisingly very good for being only a few calories and the prices were reasonable and fairly cheap for organic foods. Their smoothies were pretty expensive but overall enjoyed it . Will be coming back!”

“The place is good in general, about the poke, to be honest I didn't like it, the portion is really small, and wasn't great about flavor. It was pretty simple just plain rice and raw tuna.... That's it no other sauces, veggies or something. That's with the poke, about the other items in the menu I can tell for my friends they look good like the grill chicken plate that does looks good. Just avoid poke here. The other plates are good to have and we'll served.”
