“The lady at the register was very sweet and genuine. I ordered two kolaches and two donuts. When I bit into one of the kolaches, I realized she gave me the wrong one. “First time eating here. Place was clean. We were greeted and seated right away. We ordered the fresh shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce. They were very thick. Rice paper was torn when brought out. But very tasty with the peanut sauce. I ordered the Drunken Noodles spicy hot with shrimp. They did skimp out on the shrimp. Good heat to it and flavors were very delicious. Hubby got the seafood salad without the squid. The dressing had a tangy taste. He liked it very much. Overall, all 3 dishes were very good. We had to ask for small plates for the springs. None were given to us. The guy rolled his eyes but brought them to us. And we asked for extra napkins. Never asked if you would like anything. Checked on us only once. Can work on his people skills. Food is good enough for us to go back.”

“They're great Doughnuts, if a tad small. The pictures of the prices tell a wonderful story. 90 years ago a dozen cost 5 cents. In 2024 money, that's $1.10. Today they're $14.49..... that's a 14% average yearly increase every year since December 2018, when they were $8.59. I don't think they've gotten larger or more delicious. I know inflation has been ridiculous, but 69% is way beyond the inflation rate for that time-frame [22%]. They ought to be $10.49 (look up inflation calculator).”

“Tracking construction of McDonald's from beginning, along with two other restaurants. Although Dutch Bros Coffee nearby was far ahead, McDonald's quickly finished and opened its doors first. Went inside to photograph interior of facility. No elaborate designing. Simple layout. Less reliant on humans. Vendor machine to place orders. When I arrived, three were at counter & paid no attention to me. They were ending or closing shift. Already eaten breakfast at home, so bought a cup of black roasted coffee for under $1. Always good & high quality. Like their coffee serving cups. Thicker & more heat resistant, & comfortable in the hand. If my wife says she wants a big Mac, I am sure I will return to this location.”

“Finally got the chance to check out this place so close to where I live after having known about it for months! Of course, I had to try their seasonal offerings: King Cake Latte (hot) and the King Cake Velvet Ice. The latte was strong, smooth, and of perfect temperature. The KC Velvet was great as well, though a little too sweet for me. Had the cranberry orange muffin, heated perfectly with the top having that perfect crunch but kept the inside moist. Service was courteous and quick. The atmosphere was airy and bright but still calm. Can't wait to go back and explore more of their offerings”

“Absolutely phenomenal food. We had the Sunday roast dinner, ham, eggs and chips, chicken and mushroom pie as well as a pot of Yorkshire tea. The gravy on the roast is divine! The flake of the pastry is perfection. Every layer of food is seasoned perfectly, you can tell they take care in making each item. Not pictured was the chocolate cake and sticky toffee pudding which were the best I've had, particularly the pudding. The owner and staff are very kind and welcoming. “Edited: I grew up going to the original location . The Shipley's locations in San Antonio have done a pretty good job. However I do have one gripe or complaint. Unfortunately out of all the donuts I don't buy, I do not buy Apple fritters from them anymore, or Boston cream. For that, I go down the street to a chain competitor. The reason is consistency and quality. I don't like eating Apple fritters that are a cinnamon twist filled with apple pie filling. Fritters are in fact what the name says, a fritter. Meaning fried and somewhat crunchy. Update: Thank you for making a fritter the way it is supposed to be! This was absolutely delicious as it implies. No more gooey apple pie filling ball of dough. You keep making them like this, and I will keep buying them! Thank you.”

“Came here on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. It's by itself in this new shopping plaza, so parking and the restaurant was pretty empty. Was able to walk right up and place my order. There's 4 categories of the Chicken Salad from Traditional, Savory, Fruity & Nutty, and Spicy. In addition to the Chicken Salad, there's also Pimento Cheese, Salads, Soups, and Sandwiches. Wanted to try different options, so ordered the Trio which allows you to pick 2 different scoops. Overall, tried the Olivia's Old South, Fancy Nancy, Pimento Cheese, and Jalapeno Holly. Each scoop was good and uniquely different. Being they were just scoops, you were able to taste each flavor without being influenced by the bread of a sandwich. I liked them all and came down to personal preference. They came with crackers for a little crunch. The trio was supposed to include a cookie, but they said they ran out, so can't comment on that part of the meal. It was a good, simple, healthy meal that was good and worth another visit to try some of the other flavors.”

It was so smooth and tasty, just black! So you’ve got to try them with the flavors I’m sure they’re very good! Aguas frescas were tasty Raspas too Food could use some refining … rice was half mushy half uncooked … charro beans were good but tasted like lots of canned tomato and chilies … tostadas were ok but they could have used fresher avocados fresh onions (they were translucent) maybe some more dressings on top like lettuce tomato and personal preference I think tostadas taste best with a bit of refried beans as a base. If you come here stick to the drinks they’re quite good”

“I assume I should make a review, as I’ve been going here for a few months routinely. Boss Tea has consistently good drinks and a wide variety. I love the cocoa brown sugar latte. Their milk teas are quite cheap in comparison to those around the area. The only criticism I can give is that the black pearl boba can get a little clumpy, but it doesn’t bother me that much.
