“The watered down "latte" is not worth $5.50. it tasted like the ones at McDonald's. Just go down the street to Dutch Bros and get something way better for the same price. The donut was good but not worth $1.45.”

“As a foodie, I can say this was the BEST food experience I've ever had. Every thing was out of this world. From the appetizers, to the main entrees, and dessert. Blown away by the ambiance and the care that went to every delicious plate we ate today. Our server was very attentive and Prince (the owner) stopped by our table multiple times. He made sure our Anniversary was perfect and memorable. Definitely will be coming back!”

“This is a great spot for getting some work done - they have free wifi and a printer! I had a really yummy seasonal latte. We also got a breakfast sandwich and spinach croissant that were okay and some egg bites that were really tasty. Both people who helped us were really nice.”

“The lady at the register was very sweet and genuine. I ordered two kolaches and two donuts. When I bit into one of the kolaches, I realized she gave me the wrong one. I headed to the register, and she did not hesitate to make things right with a smile and an apology. The donuts were fresh and delicious. Great service and great food entice me to return!”

“UPDATED REVIEW (05-07-2023): Thank you for making these custom ‘Gig Em 2027 ❤️’ donuts for my family member who just got accepted into A&M 🎉 UPDATED REVIEW (09-21-2021): Loved these birthday donuts I ordered for my brother. They even put ‘fall sprinkles’ on them. Thank you so much for being my go to shop for birthday treats! UPDATED REVIEW (05-18-2021): A year ago I wrote the review below and I was fortunate enough to have received the same exceptional service from this Shipley’s location. I live in California and wanted to have these birthday donuts (pictured below) to my family member. I’m especially grateful that they were able to deliver promptly despite the rainy weather currently in SA. I really value their customer service and will continue recommending them to all my friends and family in TX! Thank you so much! ORIGINAL REVIEW (05-18-2020): I had an amazing experience ordering some 'Happy B-Day' donuts for a family member. I live in California and was hoping to have these delivered to my family member in Boerne. The employees/owners were super approachable, friendly, and responded very promptly in order to help me make this happen. I was able to do this all through FB Messenger which was great! They also allowed me to include a note to attach with the donuts which was an extra perk I was not expecting at all. I am beyond happy with what a paid for and will definitely be placing more orders with them in the future. This business is more than a place that cares to make money but rather they genuinely care for their customers which is quality that is so rare but greatly appreciated! Also, look at how cute this happy birthday donut box is!!”

“Usually some of the best donuts ever!!! I came here for the first time today, May 29th and everything was great. Friendly young lady at the counter and an enormous amount of donuts to choose from. We will most certainly come back over and over and over.”

“They're great Doughnuts, if a tad small. The pictures of the prices tell a wonderful story. 90 years ago a dozen cost 5 cents. In 2024 money, that's $1.10. Today they're $14.49..... that's a 14% average yearly increase every year since December 2018, when they were $8.59. I don't think they've gotten larger or more delicious. I know inflation has been ridiculous, but 69% is way beyond the inflation rate for that time-frame [22%]. They ought to be $10.49 (look up inflation calculator).”

“Nice little place tucked away. If you want a delicious latte along with some terrific food, come out to Coffee Crush. Great vibe with cheerful people sharing their awesome energy. The food is infused with love and happiness. It was my first time , but definitely will not be my last. Dany was happy and welcoming as soon as we walked up! They also serve cocktails with a full liquor line up. Plus they are expanding soon!”

“The coffee is good. The food is good. The service is always friendly, but can y’all PLEASE stop having customers in the drive through hold your clipboard for several minutes while you finish the order. It takes two seconds to sign the receipt. The clip board and pen are gross and dirty every time. Then y’all expect me to grab the food/drink while I still have the clipboard in my hand and haven’t had the chance to sanitize my hands.”

“Finally got the chance to check out this place so close to where I live after having known about it for months! Of course, I had to try their seasonal offerings: King Cake Latte (hot) and the King Cake Velvet Ice. The latte was strong, smooth, and of perfect temperature. The KC Velvet was great as well, though a little too sweet for me. Had the cranberry orange muffin, heated perfectly with the top having that perfect crunch but kept the inside moist. Service was courteous and quick. The atmosphere was airy and bright but still calm. Can't wait to go back and explore more of their offerings”

“Edited: I grew up going to the original location . The Shipley's locations in San Antonio have done a pretty good job. However I do have one gripe or complaint. Unfortunately out of all the donuts I don't buy, I do not buy Apple fritters from them anymore, or Boston cream. For that, I go down the street to a chain competitor. The reason is consistency and quality. I don't like eating Apple fritters that are a cinnamon twist filled with apple pie filling. Fritters are in fact what the name says, a fritter. Meaning fried and somewhat crunchy. Update: Thank you for making a fritter the way it is supposed to be! This was absolutely delicious as it implies. No more gooey apple pie filling ball of dough. You keep making them like this, and I will keep buying them! Thank you.”

“One of my favorite stops when I visit San Antonio. This place is out of the way, but well worth the drive. The USA’s best cookies. I’ve had cookies from all over and have NEVER discovered better. The guy that served me was so kind, talked to me as if he was my friend. He was wishing me well and safe travels. The cookies were slightly doughy MY. FAV!! Baked to perfection and served warm. My favorite is still original chocolate chip. My mouth is watering dang I want one now!!”

“UPDATE: got some coffee here after getting breakfast tacos next door and I got it black because I can’t really have dairy. I have NEVER enjoyed a cup of black coffee like I did this one. It was so smooth and tasty, just black! So you’ve got to try them with the flavors I’m sure they’re very good! Aguas frescas were tasty Raspas too Food could use some refining … rice was half mushy half uncooked … charro beans were good but tasted like lots of canned tomato and chilies … tostadas were ok but they could have used fresher avocados fresh onions (they were translucent) maybe some more dressings on top like lettuce tomato and personal preference I think tostadas taste best with a bit of refried beans as a base. If you come here stick to the drinks they’re quite good”

“We sat down around 9am and it was not busy which was nice. Beautiful interior and exterior seating areas. There were many dogs there that were friendly and not barking. For the food, today the quiche was a bit overcooked but flavor was there. The tacos and crepe were good. But the best was the Danish and bread. Must try the baked goods. That's where it's at! I enjoyed the people that worked there also. Genuinely friendly was the vibe. Thanks again for a great experience all around and I will be back with more friends next time ;) 5 starts for sure.”

“Excuse the poor writing job, that was me. Cake was amazing, rich, and very flavorful! It’s always scary to buy vegan because sometimes it misses the mark in sweets, SRVB nailed it. Very happy with the cake! Wish I had more occasions to buy more for! Staff was friendly and easy to work with ahead of time. Very accessible and overall excellent! Thank you for sharing your craft with our family!”

“We just had brunch. Every single pastry was absolutely amazing. We had the French toast, my 11 yr old said it was the BEST ever! I had the pot belly pork egg plate, absolutely delicious . And the coffee and lattes were incredible. Can't wait till the next time! The service was outstanding!”

“With this coffee shop being so close to where I live- it's going to be hard not to stop by😂! The pastries and food are both delicious!! I'm not usually a sweets person, but they were perfect. I got the cinnamon roll and something else, can't remember the name. The food was great both times I went. Staff was very patient with explaining what otems had in it. The coffee could may e be a little bit stronger? But it has great taste.”

“The owner of the bakery was very engaging. I basically tasted the entire menu. The layer bar cookies were quite tasty. I made the mistake of tasting a biscuit, a sticky bun, and a cinnamon roll when I arrived home hours later. When they were cold I was not impressed. However, this morning I realized after heating up the items, my first impression was totally wrong. The biscuit and both sweet rolls were delicious, with a soft chewy texture, and just the right amount of sweetness. I am also impressed they choose to be closed on Sunday. However, don’t forget to stock up on Saturday. Good luck with your new adventure.”

“Absolutely delicious AND inspirational. We stopped in during a trip from Austin and tried a variety of baked items. So wonderful to have mouth-watering low-carb/low-sugar options to replace the foods we love - cinnamon bread, chocolate cupcakes, cookies - all terrific! The owner shared a glimpse of his personal journey in starting his bakery - amazing that he is helping others. San Antonio is lucky to have this shop!”

“Avocado toast fulfilling and delicious. Their hot mocha latte is tasteful and worth getting again. Their in house cup is a good size and gives you plenty of coffee to enjoy. They have cold brew available in one size cup. If you like adding syrups in your coffee they can if you ask. Creamers, sugars and silverware available at all times when you need one. Their pastries are bigger than the average. Plenty of tables. Hand sanitizers available at every table. Good music. Love it! Will be returning!”
