“The watered down "latte" is not worth $5.50. it tasted like the ones at McDonald's. Just go down the street to Dutch Bros and get something way better for the same price. The donut was good but not worth $1.45.”

“5kVending (Amber specifically) is FANTASTIC! I purchased my first vending machine for our small business's break-room and really had no idea what to do. I reached out to 5kVending and Amber immediately responded saying that she would be happy to meet with me and help me get the machine set up. First, Amber gave me a contact that they use to actually get the machine picked-up, moved, and uncrated (who knew these machines are SO heavy and you actually need a special dolly to move them around). Once we had the machine in the break-room, Amber then met with my wife and I on a Sunday and spent 2+ hours with us, not only getting the machine initially set-up, but also walked us through how to set pricing, put change in, shared best practices for loading products, etc., etc. There was a point where our credit card machine wouldn't activate and she went the extra mile and actually called the credit card company and put a ticket in on our behalf (given it was Sunday, their support team was closed). The machine is fully operational now, our employees are really happy, and I couldn't be happier with Amber and 5kVending!!!”

“The lady at the register was very sweet and genuine. I ordered two kolaches and two donuts. When I bit into one of the kolaches, I realized she gave me the wrong one. I headed to the register, and she did not hesitate to make things right with a smile and an apology. The donuts were fresh and delicious. Great service and great food entice me to return!”

“We picked up their last order of 2023 and very much enjoyed the pepperoni and black olive pizza we got from them. Grateful they believed us that we were picking up an order from behind the locked door as they were closing the shop for the evening when we arrived. My son relocated to work in San Antonio during the Spring and finding this restaurant for a tasty meal on New Year's Eve after I fle w in to visit him for the holidays was a wonderful treat!”

“1 minor error in ordering, but this is a brand new location so no worries. Great food, attentive service, and very clean atmosphere. So happy they opened this location. They are only missing the loaded fries. Fried pickles are lightly breaded to perfection as are the mushrooms.”

“UPDATED REVIEW (05-07-2023): Thank you for making these custom ‘Gig Em 2027 ❤️’ donuts for my family member who just got accepted into A&M 🎉 UPDATED REVIEW (09-21-2021): Loved these birthday donuts I ordered for my brother. They even put ‘fall sprinkles’ on them. Thank you so much for being my go to shop for birthday treats! UPDATED REVIEW (05-18-2021): A year ago I wrote the review below and I was fortunate enough to have received the same exceptional service from this Shipley’s location. I live in California and wanted to have these birthday donuts (pictured below) to my family member. I’m especially grateful that they were able to deliver promptly despite the rainy weather currently in SA. I really value their customer service and will continue recommending them to all my friends and family in TX! Thank you so much! ORIGINAL REVIEW (05-18-2020): I had an amazing experience ordering some 'Happy B-Day' donuts for a family member. I live in California and was hoping to have these delivered to my family member in Boerne. The employees/owners were super approachable, friendly, and responded very promptly in order to help me make this happen. I was able to do this all through FB Messenger which was great! They also allowed me to include a note to attach with the donuts which was an extra perk I was not expecting at all. I am beyond happy with what a paid for and will definitely be placing more orders with them in the future. This business is more than a place that cares to make money but rather they genuinely care for their customers which is quality that is so rare but greatly appreciated! Also, look at how cute this happy birthday donut box is!!”

“They're great Doughnuts, if a tad small. The pictures of the prices tell a wonderful story. 90 years ago a dozen cost 5 cents. In 2024 money, that's $1.10. Today they're $14.49..... that's a 14% average yearly increase every year since December 2018, when they were $8.59. I don't think they've gotten larger or more delicious. I know inflation has been ridiculous, but 69% is way beyond the inflation rate for that time-frame [22%]. They ought to be $10.49 (look up inflation calculator).”

“I was really hungry. I'm closer to the 250 and this place at the spot. This is not your average Mexican restaurant. It's not just a presentation the food is amazing and bursting with flavor. I don't know if I ever knew what Mexican is supposed to taste like, but This just set the bar very high.”

“I was craving sushi and stumbled into Bluefin, their sushi did not disappoint! Here’s the rundown: Food: They have a massive list of choices, but I wanted to have a light meal, so I went with the basics: a classic spicy roll with tuna and a Dragon roll. They provided me a basic side salad with cut up shrimp as a special. It was tasty, but the shrimp was a bit chewy. The spicy roll was good, but it was missing the spice. The highlight was The Dragon Roll; it might be one of the best I have ever had! It had the right portions, fresh taste and overall enjoyable. The downfall of my meal was the Tempura Cheesecake the first bite was delectable, but the inside was still frozen and had a pasty taste. It was another special on the house; I hadn’t originally asked for a dessert, but they said it was for grand opening. I’m not much of a sweets guy, so I’m not really an authority on the topic, but I would’ve been content without. The Service: Two words (or is it one?): World -Class. I might be biased because I was the sole patron at the time, but It felt like every employee was there to serve me. But seriously, my main server was so kind and helpful. She explained the best sushi, and how they differed (I’m sorry I wasn’t that hungry)! I would have taken any of her suggestions, if I had a larger apatite. Everyone was on their a-game and was super kind. They made me feel very welcomed. The Atmosphere: Again, I might not be the best person to ask, but it was very comfortable; I sat at the sushi bar. It was fun to watch them make the rolls, but it did feel like they were watching me while waiting for me to order..I digress. I feel like this place has a lot of potential to be a real good time! However, they had this guitar player who was singing to.. well me, and the staff. This musician had his moments, but when he started singing Charlie Puth, it was time to go.. he was EXCELLENT with his country and rock covers. Misc. As of yesterday, they didn’t have their liquor license, so that was a miss. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and would recommend EVERYONE check them out!”

“Edited: I grew up going to the original location . The Shipley's locations in San Antonio have done a pretty good job. However I do have one gripe or complaint. Unfortunately out of all the donuts I don't buy, I do not buy Apple fritters from them anymore, or Boston cream. For that, I go down the street to a chain competitor. The reason is consistency and quality. I don't like eating Apple fritters that are a cinnamon twist filled with apple pie filling. Fritters are in fact what the name says, a fritter. Meaning fried and somewhat crunchy. Update: Thank you for making a fritter the way it is supposed to be! This was absolutely delicious as it implies. No more gooey apple pie filling ball of dough. You keep making them like this, and I will keep buying them! Thank you.”

“Came here on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. It's by itself in this new shopping plaza, so parking and the restaurant was pretty empty. Was able to walk right up and place my order. There's 4 categories of the Chicken Salad from Traditional, Savory, Fruity & Nutty, and Spicy. In addition to the Chicken Salad, there's also Pimento Cheese, Salads, Soups, and Sandwiches. Wanted to try different options, so ordered the Trio which allows you to pick 2 different scoops. Overall, tried the Olivia's Old South, Fancy Nancy, Pimento Cheese, and Jalapeno Holly. Each scoop was good and uniquely different. Being they were just scoops, you were able to taste each flavor without being influenced by the bread of a sandwich. I liked them all and came down to personal preference. They came with crackers for a little crunch. The trio was supposed to include a cookie, but they said they ran out, so can't comment on that part of the meal. It was a good, simple, healthy meal that was good and worth another visit to try some of the other flavors.”

“UPDATE: got some coffee here after getting breakfast tacos next door and I got it black because I can’t really have dairy. I have NEVER enjoyed a cup of black coffee like I did this one. It was so smooth and tasty, just black! So you’ve got to try them with the flavors I’m sure they’re very good! Aguas frescas were tasty Raspas too Food could use some refining … rice was half mushy half uncooked … charro beans were good but tasted like lots of canned tomato and chilies … tostadas were ok but they could have used fresher avocados fresh onions (they were translucent) maybe some more dressings on top like lettuce tomato and personal preference I think tostadas taste best with a bit of refried beans as a base. If you come here stick to the drinks they’re quite good”

“Amazing place for some Detroit-style pizza. You have to go here at least once. Try the Detroiter. The atmosphere and service are immaculate.
