“Ricardo’s now has expanded to 3 or 4 franchises in various locations in Brownsville. When they located in the downtown area they became very popular because of the central location near offices and county buildings. Hence, the restaurant was always popular and patrons had to sometimes to wait in a queue. Service in all of the restaurants is excellent and the food is always very good. Their home-made chiles are excellent. Concern: they tend to over salt their food and their soups are always too salty, which is why I subtracted 1 star.”

“Alright a very unique establishment 💯 years old, cool. Small hidden away business in Downtown. I can handle 3 burgers and we’re taking double meat double cheese. Yup made to order fresh , a jalapeño, bag of chips and a cold soda pop. Just the way I like it and have a seat in the back of my car parked in front of the burger joint. Small but great taste, fast and friendly service, fresh ingredients Great burgers 🍔 🇺🇸🤘all day long.”

“The Library is one of my favorite downtown hangout spots! It's a relaxed, chill environment with options of music from the jukebox and live bands or a dj during the weekend. The beer is always extra cold and they have delicious chili powder for the rim, makes my mouth water just thinking about it! The Library has a full bar and excellent food/dessert options, as well. Burger 10/10 is an old fashioned regular sized juicy and a little greasy home made cheese melting mouth watering burger. It was amazing, soft meat melted cheese. Fries 6/10 are your typical fries.”

“What an awesome place! The pizza is delicious and you can definitely taste the freshness in the ingredients(specially the sauce) The crust is just perfect! I recommend the cheese board, it’s exquisite! The waitstaff is always marking sure your aren’t needing anything. The wine and beer selection is plentiful. Although it was a full house our food was out pretty quickly. I do recommend you make reservations, since this place is pretty popular. Great Job!”

“Service was great the girl who assisted us could tell we were first timers. She was very social and patient with us which helped our first time be more enjoyable. I ordered the Tijuana which was loaded with toppings and prepared well. Bun was toasted a little which I loved. The flavor of bacon complimented the onion and bell pepper ratio. Little drizzle of mayo and ketchup to not drown the toppings. My wife had the pizza dog and she was nice enough to let me get a bite. It was very rich in flavor with the bacon and pepperoni. My only knock on this dog was the sauce softened the bread and got soggy by the time we got home. So that's one of the dogs probably best to eat on site. As a side we got seasoned fries, which were pretty good. We also ordered the chili cheese tots for my daughter. She really enjoyed them. Definitely looking forward to tasting everything on the menu.”
