“I’m giving the place 5 stars solely on its customer service, location, and laid back environment. I love a good chill spot with lots of seating. I didn’t order any food or drinks because I was already full. I typically like to check out restrooms when I go to a bar but I didn’t go there either. I will definitely visit them again and update this review is anything changes 😃.”

Tango Room

Address: 1617 Hi Line Dr Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75207, USA

Restaurant

“A lovely, intimate, luxurious restaurant nestled in the corner of the interior/decorative district of Dallas. Small retro 1920s vibe with 12 booths so please have a reservation. Photos below are truffle devil eggs, duck, duck wings, crab fried rice… the deviled eggs were elegant, the yolk so silky…. The duck wings were glazed in a honey chipotle glaze so smooth it was almost as if the duck was dipped then fried to perfection. The duck entree was tender, and sliced beautifully. This is definitely an amazing place to visit for an anniversary, proposal first date if you want to impress a date.”

“We have waited awhile to get into this place for dinner. We had a 5:15 reservation time & were told there was a 7:30 after us. Meaning you had a 2 hour dinner slot. Didn't get a picture but they start you off with a variety bread basket & bring over this huge block of Parmesan cheese. They cut off a decent chunk for everyone to enjoy with the bread instead of butter. We started with Ceasar Salad & Calamari. They mix the salad at your table on a special cart, it was a nice touch. Then they served onto your plate. The Calamari comes with a sauce which we had them pour onto. Both dishes very yummy. For drinks we tried classic cocktails: Vesper, Whiskey Sour, Sidecar & Stinger. All very tasty but each has a $18 price tag. I enjoy a glass of Pinot Grigio wine @ $24. So come knowing this is a $100 per person type place. Onto more yummy food. For the next course we had Spicy Rigatoni Voda & Lobster Ravioli. The Rigatoni was the winner dish of the night. The Ravioli was made with squid ink, so had a beautiful color. For our last dish, we ordered the Veal Parmesan with a side of potatoes. Unfortunately the meat dish @ $76 was our least favorite. It was dry & not seasoned...I'm not a salt person but you need a right amount to make the food taste right. So will try something different next visit. They bring around an impressive dessert try but we were on carb overload. So they brought out a birthday celebration plate which was super cute & tasty almond cookies bites. Atmosphere...instead is beautiful with beautiful dressed servers & dinners. We wore jeans, nice tops & nice shoes but lots of people dressed to the 9! I will go back & also want to try the Vino by Carbone. I hear you can get a few of the same dishes, including our favorite pasta .”

“We had such a good time! This place has awesome fun loving staff that are eager to explain how it works. It was out first time here and we loved it. The full bar was dope, the food was delish and they had great games. The main one (I forgot the name, but where you throw a football at bowling pins) was AWESOME but they also have shuffleboard and darts. And the darts they had were actually pretty good. A lot of times the darts aren’t the good ones when it comes to bars, but these were pretty good! Such a fun date day!”

“Never judge a book by its cover!!! I went here not knowing what to expect, the place looked kind of run down and under construction on the inside, the outside didn’t look too welcoming with the bars on the windows. But we came here for pizza! 🍕 It was on the pricey side, I mean, just to add sausage was like $3, I was like dang!!! My personal small pepperoni and sausage pizza came out to be like $20, but my oh my! It was 🤌🏽🍕!!’ The crust was strong enough to not fall apart when you picked the pizza up and the ingredients tasted FRESH! And the sauce was perfect! I love it when a pizza doesn’t fall apart the moment you pick it up! Definitely coming back, as soon as I get a raise at work! 😂”

“It was a little tricky finding the place - the signage is not clear - but I have to say, I was genuinely surprised at how good the pizza was. We ordered the pepperoni and pickles, chuckling about the idea, but it was a solid pizza (if you’re the owner, this could use more pickles, surprisingly enough)! I’m looking forward to trying several different varieties next time. Website is limited for ordering, but streamlined if you’re just making a basic order. Call or go in person if you’re looking for smaller than Large or for the full menu. The location is just east of the Sonic on Ross, in that little shopping complex. The orange place that used to be a Thai restaurant, maybe? There’s parking in front, but it’s tricky with the signage. I parked on the side between the Sonic and the complex and was fine to pop in for pickup.”

Logan Burger

Address: 4817 Ross Ave, Dallas, TX 75204, USA

“I got my burger to go, so I'm mostly writing the review so it's clear where to go. This location is a virtual brand, I guess, because it's located inside of Saquic. It tasted fresh and looked super homemade because well, it was. I recommend checking them out for a late night bite, and I saw tacos and pizza on the menu too.”

“Another sterling discovery! First, this place is huge! There is seating for at least 100 patrons. And, they've got a fully stocked bar in a separate space. Big-screen TVs line the walls. You order at the counter, above which all available dishes and items are clearly displayed. I chose the basics today... #16... 3 tacos w/ground beef, corn tortillas, rice and beans. 3 grades of beef are available, and choice of corn or flour tortillas. And... get this... they have BEER! I ordered a Corona, which comes with the obligatory lime wedge. The counter person doubled as the waitress in my "special needs" case... being in a wheelchair. The tacos came bare, with all the fixin's in compartments on the tray. Verde and roja sauces were placed on the table in squeeze bottles (as they should be). All-in-all a perfect run. I got out of there for $15.36... about average. Just don't try entering through the westernmost door in a power chair... there is about a 4-inch lip. I nearly wrecked out, then quit trying and went to the eastern door, where the entryway is smooth. I dined at 4:30. The place was empty! I hope they make it. I know I'm going back soon. EDIT 11/15/21: I went back hungrier this time. I foolishly ordered both Pozole and the Carne Asada Plate. Never had Pozole before. What a treat... and meal! The bowl was HUGE. Lip-smacking broth chock-full of tender chunks of pork and veggies. Pozole alone would have filled me up. But, I dutifully ate the carne asada too. The char on those thin slices of beef was wonderfully smoky.”

Darkoo’s Chicken Shack

Address: 4812 Bryan St, Dallas, TX 75204, USA

Restaurant

“I am so glad this came up when I did a Yelp search for chicken. Lao fried chicken!!! This chicken will make u cluck!!! It’s that freakin good!! I got the spicy 3 piece which consist of two legs a thigh, fried and a side. It wasn’t hot spicy at all. It’s more of a heavier seasoning vs heat. The salty vs sweet balance is wonderful. The seasoned fries are the way to go. I also opted for sticky rice; which is a favorite of mines. The spicy ketchup has a kick and goes hard. I also loved the DJ sauce. Above all I have as amazed by the love I received from those who work here. I felt like family and could feel they put 100% into their food. I will definitely be back for more!”
