“We walked in for breakfast, for our first visit, to all the tables dirty. We were the 2nd group to order. The other 2 small tables were eating. They then got busy after us. The group before us got their food. It looked great. We were excited. And then we heard order up and knew that would be our food. We watched the worker try to give our food to one table, they said it wasn't theirs then she took it to the next table and place it in front of the man. She went back for more food and placed it in front of his wife. It was exactly what I ordered! The lady looked down at the food and said to her husband this isn't my food. I said I think y'all have our food. Is that what you guys ordered? They both had just sat there, not touching the food and said it's not ours. I asked if they minded if I come and get it. They said that's fine. The worker saw me switch the food and just stared at me. I said that was our food. She never said sorry for the mistake. They food was good, but it wasn't a good first impression.”

“This place is very small, but has a ton of class! It’s family owned and run. When I tell you God himself put an angel in that kitchen, I mean it’s Gospel! The food is the best I have ever had. The women working the front are the sweetest women on earth, and the mom in the kitchen could make Gordon Ramsey turn into James Brown! I really can’t say enough about this place to do it justice. “I ordered the crab leg plate with a potato, corn on the cob and a side order of fried mushrooms. The meal was absolutely delicious. I did not realize there would be so many crab legs. I believe the meal costs $48+ but it was well worth it. I love seafood and I have been waiting for a restaurant of this caliber to come to Red Oak. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend eating here especially if you like seafood. I have seafood allergies so I won’t be indulging every weekend. But this is where I’ll go ever so often to get rid of my cravings…😂😂😂”

“Everything from the service, to the drinks and the food was very good. Very nice atmosphere. All the staff was well mannered and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and experienced drinks, appetizer, entrees, and desert. We had the bone marrow appetizer which was delicious, and my wife had the beef tenderloin, which was excellent. I ordered the nilgai tenderloin and was pleasantly impressed. Very tender and very tasty! I would definitely go back!!”

The setting—the aesthetic—was perfect; it’s obvious the owners take pride in their business. Beyond that, the owners themselves are incredibly welcoming. Chatting with them a bit while spending time with my family was a pleasure. And that’s what really puts this spot over and above chains like Dairy Queen (though their ice cream is definitely better than Dairy Queen): the proprietors. I’ll go back here again and again to support this business—Red Oak is better for them being here.”

“We held a great bridal shower here today. Plenty of space for our party of 20, probably holds twice as many comfortably, even during then pandemic. The decorations are so extensive we save loads of cash on deco, we really didn’t even have to do flowers (but did one large arrangement just because). They had all the dishes and equipment we needed for our afternoon tea themed event. We provided our own food and drinks, but didn’t have to bring anything more. Would recommend!”
