“I had to walk in to ensure my order did not have garlic crust as I'm allergic. One of my 4 pizzas did end up having garlic crust. I walked back in to inform them and rather than remaking it a medium (original order) they remade it as a large. They also apologized for the mess up and while that may not mean much to most, I could tell it was very genuine. The lobby/seating was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I don't throw out 5 stars like candy, but this place thus far is worth it.”

“This place is really good! We had several different menu items, and all were delicious. Their biggest challenge is moving fast enough to meet the demand. The word is out about Gonzales, and lots of tourists were coming in large groups while we were there, which made a log jam and a slight wait for orders No wait for tables though. Everyone was clearly hustling and there was just not enough hands. Still, this place is a must for brunch when you're in Gonzales!”

“I love hole in the wall, down home places. I’ll go out of my way to try them! Wish I could give it a higher rating. The locals told me it is the best. I did come at the end of the day, 5:30 pm which is around dinner time. I had a 2 meat dinner, Sausage and Lamb ribs instead of brisket because they were out of brisket. The lamb was dry and chewy. Potato salad, good. Mac and cheese, ate half of it. Did not enjoy my meal, maybe next time.”

Me and an old friend (I live near Houston, he lives in San Marcos) rendezvoused here for a catch-up chat, and we were treated very well by a friendly staff. Indeed (I think it must have been the owner/s) were generous enough to comp us a round of drinks, which, as first-time visitors, was very kind indeed. The back "beer-garden" area is pleasant on a day like today, with cooler temperatures but sunny and fall-like. Great afternoon with my friend, and great small-town hospitality enjoyed!”
