I’m staying at the flat crossing ranch and this is the closes thing I’ve seen, so decided to stop and it was worth it. “Came all the way from Lopez Island, WA looking for good BBQ and found GREAT BBQ! Had chicken, hubby had brisket. Both moist, tender and packed with flavor. Sides of cole slaw and broccoli slaw also delish. The sugar bacon was another hit. Folks were super nice. Hope to stop again tomorrow on way out of town.”

“This place was so awesome! I really enjoyed this place. We were coming back from the Hamilton Pools, and this just hit the spot! I want really sure about the quality of food but the food here is absolutely delicious! I was quite surprised! I had the chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, okra and onion rings! Needless to say, everything was quite delicious! I savored every bite! Even the tea and coffee was great! Our server, Jenna was so sweet and very friendly- she made the experience so much better! I like the decorations, especially the posters of Willie Nelson and other musicians - very sweet! The outside entrance is so sweet with the horse bench! Thank you and I'll definitely be coming back! I'm so glad I home-cooked meals- finally!”

“Nice menu and ample outdoor seating. Dog friendly too. The execution and flow could use some improvement. There was a long line and the the wait for the actual food was even longer. I think that changing from this concept to a full service concept with a full wait staff would alleviate the long wait times for food. And alleviate the kitchen being bombarded with tickets. Also the customers would feel like tipping 20% is worth it.”

“While visiting Dripping Springs we had a nice dinner because of the friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. However, I didn't care for my pasta shell dish, which seemed flour-y and overly rich. my overall impression of the menu was that they are trying a bit too hard to make it "fancy" and precious. The location is very convenient, on the main drag through town. The exterior is inviting, with tiny white lights decorating the building and trees and a good amount of parking.”

“It is by no means the greatest place to eat, but they have a decent idea and really do try. Food appears to be homemade and tastes good. However, there seems to be an inverse relationship between cost and portions with places like the Homespun Kitchen. For example, it is $14 for one waffle and 4 chicken tenders. I have included pictures of the menu so you can see for yourself. I would recommend eating here only of you happen to have extra cash that is burning a hole in your pocket.”

They have a good selection of burgers, and typically are always made well. They also have a great salad bar with lots of variety, despite the small size of the actual salad area. Food delivery can take a while, so don't expect this to be a fast food joint.”
