“I went here my last day in TX. I needed to get some fried pickles. Best ones around. Also, love, love, love, love their ranch dipping sauce! I moved to Texas when I was 6 months pregnant, man oh man did I live off of those pickles. I sure do miss them. Friendly folks. Service takes a while especially if busy. Would be cool if they could work 2 lanes in the location.”

“I am really glad they cut a Popeye's in Athens. They are my favorite. Lately in this area though my orders are given to me wrong. One place even wanted me to bring my food back to prove it was wrong. Well I didn't and will not go there and spend 50+ dollars. Popeye's we checked before leaving and we got turf without our surf. They made good and gave more surf to make up. The only thing we didn't do is count the chicken pieces so instead of 12 we came home with 10. The two pieces were the wings (my favorite) we didn't call and complain but hopefully the next time our order will be right. Eating out is very expensive with our crew and every piece counts.”

“The table top tablet there for you to play games and pay out was absolutely filthy! You could see fingerprints and smudges as if had never been wiped off. The salt and pepper shakers were also grimey feeling and the table was sticky. Close attention to detail is expected but here, any attention would have been wonderful! The loved the double crunch shrimp and had a baked potato substituted for the fries. The loaded baked potato was loaded with butter but barely any cheese or bacon. The brisket tacos were good but the brisket was sweet. That's just my taste though. Lastly, out waiter, Bill, had no personality at all. I felt bad for being a reason he had to work tonight. He wasn't angry acting, just no friendly attitude at all. It will take a lot to get me to return anytime soon.”
