“Fresh tortillas, spicy barbacoa and steak, loads of cilantro and pickled onion, great salsas (green and red). We had the tacos and the quesadilla, too late for breakfast (served until 11AM). Friendly and fast, can take it to go or sit down in Pioneer Coffee and soak up some great vinyl while you enjoy a hot or iced coffee. Recommended.”

“We love having Sunday brunch outside at the Raleigh! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. It has sort of a "San Antonio River Walk" feel about it. Although you are right on the street, the traffic is pretty light and not a problem; there may be as many pedestrians as autos going by. The trees and old buildings are lovely.”

“The food is good but it was not the nicest looking place inside or out. I went to Waco for a day trip and when it came time to eat we chose this place because a Sam's location was opened in Brownwood tx that is really good so we followed Google's directions but upon arrival we noticed the name of the restaurant was changed and decided to give it a try anyway. The building didn't look so nice and the inside needed some work but the food was hot and yummy. I really like the catfish and the servings are so big that we order one plate to share with the whole family. The food is actually really tasty and price is fair. I would eat there again.”

“Recently went here with my family for lunch. The service was great and the staff was friendly. I tried the Wisconsin cheddar soup and it was amazing.Great location in downtown with parking not far away. This is truly one of the landmark restaurants in Waco and a trip here should be a "must do" on your list.”

“This eatery is amazing. I highly recommend that anyone in town should go and try the food out. They have a lot of variety and it taste so good. Best food in Waco without I doubt!!!”

“The service was great! Decided to try something new today and ordered a couple of different flavors of boneless wings. I ordered Lemon Pepper and Hawaiian. The wings were cooked perfectly but the Lemon Pepper had almost no taste and certainly not lemon taste to them. The Hawaiian wings had an unexpected flavor that I can only think was vinegar in the sauce. They were good but if I were to order them again I would order less. Coaches never disappoints in the service I receive. My server made sure I had what I needed and kept my drink filled. I'll get the wings again but will try some different flavors.”

“I have eaten a whole lot of Indian food in the past 5 years. It is a hobby of my husband and I to eat and compare. THIS IS ABSOLUTE BEST WE HAVE EVER HAD. If you want authentic amazing Indian food and a cool atmosphere... You HAVE to try this. ???? There is no other food like this from Dallas to San Antonio. Delicious. Friendly owner. Great atmosphere. Reasonably priced for how yummy it is.”

“The food at this place is definitely worth the wait. Our party of four got a variety of different type of plates. Everyone enjoyed their entree and the chips and dip they give before the meal was very good. This place is really expensive though so you should be aware of that.”

“pizza and the atmosphere at this spot is very good. It was so fresh. Had a sister come into town and asked me to take her here again. The place has a nice feel to it. Menu is like a place in San Francisco I liked.”

“My sister and I ordered fried Green Tomatoes . They were absolutely great. I'm no fan of Cotton Patch. I've only eaten there once before, but I would definitely reorder the Green Tomatoes. Customer Service Needs work. No one was rude, but no greetings to customers when they enter, and though it was mostly empty, myself and other customers stood for more than five minutes before I just found help. This isn't the only place that needs help in customer service.”

“Overall nice, family dining environment. Most of the food and supplies were low or gone, but other than that it was a good experience. The staff restocked the supplies and the food came out at a steady pace so the buffet wasn't empty for too long!”

“Panda Express I love it it's fast it's good it's hot but you really have to get there right at I'd say 11: 30 to 12 to get fresh, Cause I think they put The Leftovers out 1st and they have a tendency to put the older stuff on top of the fresh stuff So it's best to get there during or just after the rush..... Up date: It seems that the bowels are getting smaller and if you get there a bit before the lunch run you get the cold warm up leftovers first .I guess they figure make the bowels smaller and charge the same amount for less food makes more money and you can serve few people and make the money sucks !”

“Wedding cake!!!!! Snow cones here are so smooth that they are a product of thier own. For the quality and flavor the price is right. Little on the expensive side of desserts but again, so worth it. If you come during a peak time it may take a little while... Honestly though, it makes it worth it. Perfect little date spot or family outing. Thinking about them is making me want to go get one today!”

“Everybody is so quick to write a negative review, but rarely write anything good. My food was cooked thoroughly, tasted great, & the employees were so nice! "If we did well, ring the bell", I'll ring that bad boy every time with service like theirs!!”

“Loved the ambience here! Very mixed crowd, good bartenders, great drinks! We had wine, old fashioned, espresso martini, and a gin cocktail. All were great! Live music was enjoyable, but a bit loud if you want to visit. If I'm back in Waco, I'll go there again!”

“Stopped in during spring break on our way home from Dallas. Everywhere we went was crowded, so we were fortunate to get seated right away at Jake's before it got really busy. The decor is very retro and festive, there were lots of families there, and the staff we dealt with were very friendly. We got the chicken fried steak, which is a very generous portion, and it was delicious, fried just right! The mashed potatoes and green beans were good, not spectacular, just average. The fries were very good, of the hand cut variety. We also got the quiche of the day, with chicken and broccoli, also delicious. The tea was good and sweet, the way I like it. All in all a pleasant dining experience. Glad we dropped by!!”

“Former employee, so completely willing to admit I am a little biased. The family that owns Portofinos is wonderful, and I've never left hungry after seeing them. My favorite dishes are the Bella pizza and pretty much anything with pink sauce. They make their Alfredo sauce to order rather than in big batches, so it's always creamy and delicious. Bread and pizza dough is made from scratch on site. They do get busy on the weekends, so it's a good idea to call ahead. They will always be my favorite Italian restaurant in Waco, and I look forward to many more years of dining here.”

“Walk-in thinking I'm not sure if there is something that will help me enjoy this. Although I was a little sad that there was not lice music at the time, it was still a very nice setting, a decent crowd, & VERY knowledgeable and helpful staff the guided me through the selection process. We've been there before; we will definitely be back again. Strongly feel like it is a great place for date night, a great place 4 I drink or staging area before going out, and a great place to land 4 a delectable appetizer or scrumptious little treat after a local event finished at the evening. Strong selection of good food and variety of appealing appetizers. No liquor but quite a few beers to choose from also.”

“What a treat! Very friendly staff. They make me feel at home every time I go, even when it is cold there is a warming kindness in their smiles. I highly recommend the Mexican corn. Very authentic flavor. Don't forget the salsas!”
