“Love this place. It is my go to on North Beach. Great atmosphere right on the water, food is fresh and servers are nice. The only beef I have is with the “key lime” pie. Although I live in Texas now, I’m born and raised in Florida and vacation to the Keys quite often. Key lime pie is not green! Nor is it whipped air light. Please look for a vendor that supplies genuine key lime pie so that you’re not offering an imposter.”

“I was recommended the fish tacos over the shrimp, but tried one of each. The hostess was correct; the shrimp tacos are good, but have less filling and are a bit sweet [not a fan of sweet in general], while the fish tacos have a large piece of fish that fills them, they have better flavor in my opinion. I got a cup of Pirate Stew, and I ate that from the cup while walking back to my hotel. Sadly, the first half tasted like diced tomatoes (I didn't have a good way to mix it up, and since I was laden with other foods, I just "drank" it), but the latter half was absolutely awesome. I also got their signature burger, as said hostess stated that and the Hawaiian option were equally awesome (so I'll be going back before this trip ends), and after eating my tacos, I was full. But I had a bite after piling on all the veggies because I like those, and the meat is super flavorful. Also loved the skull and crossbones branding! They're currently open inside, but I'm still hesitant to dine in during these weird times, so I also got a Mer-Dude to go, which is a local beer (Lorelei Brewing -- and it's awesome), so props to Blackbeard's for having solid local beers too! I'll be back for that Aloha burger before I leave.”

“This place was way better that I expected, it was mad good. Being from the East coast and not finding anything in South Texas that came close, I was skeptical when I was told they were good. I'm glad I followed the suggestion to try them out. The family and I absolutely loved it, we ate there for lunch then returned later for dessert after dinner. They didn't even look at me weird when I asked for Oregano & garlic for my pizza. Their portions are large and prices great. Their cannolis and Oreo balls were delicious. The staff is wonderful as well, it was good to hear those accents again. We will definitely make the 2 hr trip to this restaurant again.”

The chef makes the breads and buns fresh daily and they are great!! Wife had the street tacos and she loved them. “This is our favorite place to stop and eat when we are heading to Mexico. This is close to the Bay Area. This restaurant has a second floor that allows you to eat indoors or outdoors. Just don’t feed the seagulls otherwise they won’t leave. I ordered a bun less hamburger and a side salad. The salad was a big portion, not a typical side salad but it was delicious. Staff is wonderful and super nice. Restrooms are clean and wheelchair accessible. There is even an elevator for those that want to eat on the second floor. This is walking distance to the Selena statue that is by the bay and in front of the marina and the police station. This is a great location!”
