“We used to come here often. Upon arriving to pick up my called in order I saw no less than six people in the back/kitchen who made eye contact but it seemed they were debating on who was supposed to come out to see me at their front desk. It wasn't until three people came in behind me that a gentleman came out. He acknowledged them then kindly helped with my order. My disappointment comes about as a result of the half full 'large' sides. Except for the smokey beans they were not large because they were not full. The place was not busy, there were employees milling around and I bet there was plenty of time to fill the order properly. I will certainly be more diligent when ordering in the future. Oh, and my order was sitting on the counter when I walked in and I was 5 minutes early on the given time. So my 20 to 25 minute order probably only took 10 minutes.”

“Nice place. The food was good. I had 3 taco plate. Ordered 3 burrito plate to go, for husband (small burritos) and taco salad( ground beef). He didn't like that there wasn't any flavor on food. He added salsa. You order food at the counter and pick it up when your number is called.”

“One dark and stormy night we visited Blue Sky as we were traveling from the west to the east coast. As we stood in line studying the menu, a local mentioned to us that "everything is good here." She said she especially likes the cheeseburger with green chilies, so that is what I ordered. My wife ordered a cheeseburger with chili, and we also got a combination shoestring fries/onion rings basket and two large drinks. Now, let me tell you about the drinks. Blue Sky has a good variety of soft drinks (and beer), but the thing that caught our eye was the iced tea. Adjacent to the soft drink machine were eight dispensers lined up, each containing a different variety of iced tea. Yes, eight varieties of freshly brewed tea! Who does that? I got the coconut iced tea and my wife tried the peach iced tea. Both were delicious! I had never tasted coconut iced tea before, and I found it to be quite refreshing! We sat down at one of the tables (the place was busy, but there are a lot of booths and tables available, so finding a seat was not a problem). A few minutes later our number appeared on a "serving now" screen and we picked up our order. The burgers feature 100% ground chuck, and they tasted as good as they looked. Both the green chilies and the red chili complimented the burgers nicely. Everything on the burgers was fresh and of the highest quality. The shoestring potatoes were tasty, although I prefer a fry with a little more crunch, but we both loved the onion rings! They appear to be hand breaded, and the crunchy exterior around the perfectly cooked onions could not have been tastier! Blue Sky has lots more to offer besides burgers, including salads, hot dogs, sandwiches, chicken tenders, and tons of appetizers. We also saw a couple shakes that another table had ordered and they looked like they came from a 1950s soda fountain, hand blended and topped with a generous helping of whipped cream and a cherry. We loved our visit, and my only regret is that there isn't a Blue Sky anywhere near where I live!”

“I definitely have a new obsession with this place. Drinks are refreshing and they have a pretty wide selection. The menu is endless and the food was exceptional. The server was great. I will say I paid about 55 dollars for my dad and myself...it's on the higher side here but honestly for all the good things, you get what you pay for. Highly recommend at least one visit here. Only downside was we were standing around for quite sometime to be seated...and it was just for 4 people AND it was at 1030pm (not busy at all)...nobody helped and my dad had to call someone over just to seat us.”

“As an avid lover of all things coffee, I typically stick to the local coffee joint anytime I’m traveling to have a new experience or to just spend my money on a more local level, yet this was the closest coffee shop to me while I was visiting town, I have to say, it was overall a great experience. We noticed the line was fairly long and had time to park and sit for a bit. The staff was very friendly, greeted me with a smile, helpful and welcoming. The place was clean, our lattes were delicious and we had a wonderful experience. This is definitely a larger Starbucks and bet this would be fun to have a larger group or study session.”

“Great hot food, freshly made - you can really tell a difference between this spot and other fast food places. We enjoy our visits here every time. And the custard is absolutely perfection. Our family loves this spot! We always grab a custard and go to the park close by to relax.”

“We have been here a couple times now from Lubbock. The restaurant is always clean. The employees are always friendly, and the food is always delicious. The meat pizza isns delicious. Put some honey it, you definitely won't regret it. We will definitely be returning as we visit Amarillo.”

“A couple of days ago, I ate here with my fiancé. We had egg rolls to start and ordered Jalapeño Fried Rice and Yellow Chicken Curry (unfortunately my order was wrong because I ordered Beef instead of chicken but that won’t effect the rating since mistakes can be made). This is my second time eating food from Thai Taste. I can say they’re in a good spot on this side of town offering good food. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is good for a family setting. The food itself is really delicious. I had the yellow curry which was good but was enamored with my fiancés food. The Jalapeño fried rice had jalapeños (of course) with cilantro and well cooked rice. The taste of the rice balanced out the jalapeño and allowed the taste of cilantro to really top it off on the bite. If you go, I’d recommend trying this dish. You may like the taste as well as the presentation. I definitely recommend anyone to come and eat here if they’re looking for a good family setting to have good conversation and good Thai and Chinese food.”

“Fairly new to the area, and what an incredible spot. This fine dining, upscale tapas bar is all that and then some. Grab your friends, call yourself a babysitter and get yourself a date night here. From the outside you would not believe how breathtakingly beautiful the interior is… I was absolutely wowed when we first stepped foot inside this one of a kind spot. You can feel it in your soul that the owners have done everything they possibly could to provide you with a unique and cultural experience that is not offered anywhere else. We enjoyed the Tuna Poke, Escargot, Mushroom & Pesto Flatbread & Steak. I highly recommend this spot for those who appreciate the finer things of life, willingness to try something different and love a vibrantly creative menu. **side note: this being a fine dining spot I recommend only well behaved children.”

“Our go to place for wings! We order from here a lot and about 80% of the time we're thrilled. They're cooked right, have plenty of sauce, and just the right amount of seasoning. The fries here are my favorite. The other 20%, the order isn't right, the wings are dry or cooked too long or the fries are not seasoned. So check your order before you leave and don't be afraid to have it corrected.”

“This place has one of the best seafood boils I have had. We tried several items on the menu being that it was our first try. Everything was excellent, and great service. We went with "spicy" on the boil, and it was a little much for us, we would get mild in the future. Other than that it was a great experience. We will definitely be back.”

“Nothing spectacular, but we certainly had no complaints. GREAT fried mushroom appetizer and I had the mushroom chicken entree. The staff could have been a little more friendly, but he was attentive and efficient. The virtual sports area looks interesting, we went here for lunch, it seems to be a low traffic time so nobody was using it. I had no desire to try it but I would have liked to see it in action. All in all, a pleasant experience.”

“The pizza was phenomenal!! We ordered the supreme, all meat and jalapeño popper pizza. The supreme was the favorite!! It was loaded with toppings and all 3 pizzas had an overload of cheesy deliciousness! I couldn't imagine getting the 24"!! That pizza is huge!! We will definitely order soon!”

“Home Plate Diner is a place to get some comfort food in a nostalgic setting. The food is pretty good—especially for the price. I really liked the Roast Beef! It was a fun atmosphere with Baseball and such. The customer service is great. We would go back!”

“If you are tired of the same chain restaurant food, you must try this place! My wife and I came because of the exceptional salad ingredients, and believe me, I called around to at least three restaurants, and none of them had certain items in it like this place. I ordered the ham and cheese sandwich with the dinner salad on top of that an awesome blue cheese dressing. The chef salad is to die for served with a sliced baked roll. The service is just fantastic from the time you walk in until the time you walk out. The food has some fair prices, and to mention the deserts... buttermilk pie and peach cobbler are just the tip of some extremely great homemade deserts. The whole staff, friendly, professional, attentive, and downright, the best people we have had the pleasure to meet. If you like really good food at a decent price and not the regular chain restaurant, same ol' same ol' try this place. Tell them Roman Reigns sent you, just joking (inside joke). Happy eating, everyone.”

“Lazy Gator is located at Bell and Hillside and currently offers dining in or curbside pickup. They have a bar inside, clean restrooms and a menu that offers a variety of cajun inspired food. Having moved to Amarillo from Florida, I really miss good seafood. When I go to Lazy Gators, I always get the shrimp and scallops and they never disappoint. The food here is reasonable and really tastes great. They're never busy when we go in so service is good and fast. I would highly recommend Lazy Gator's if you're looking for a nice variety at a good price. Oh, and don't forget to try one of their cocktails, they've created some very interesting combinations.”

“This was probably some of the best sweet and sour chicken I've ever had. I always heard good reviews of Chiyo's so we decided to try it. We wanted to go in and eat but when we got there, we saw a sign saying drive thru only. They're suffering from staff shortages like everyone else. We went through the drive thru and waited but there was nothing. Their speaker doesn't work so just drive up to the window. They had specials posted on the window. It started out as sort of a rough experience but the food really made up for it. They are affordable and I can't say enough about the food, I highly recommend you give them a try, just be patient with the experience.”

“Still the best Frito Pie (the 1/2 size is plenty for one hungry person) I’ve had! Fast and friendly service, always a great experience! Every time I’m in town I make an effort to get one!”

“Average seafood restaurant. Staff not the friendliest ever. Waitress seemed to rush us. Pretty good variety. Plenty of choices. Lots of fried things. Needed a few more sides. I did not understand why okra was not a side choice. I had to get it as an appitizer. More than i needed and more expensive. The chicken tenders had a kick if you like that. Have jambalaya which lots of people love. Not somewhere i would go again. Not too impressive to me.”

“Rosa's is great for fast, affordable Mexican food. The fresh tortillas are delicious. The salsa/toppings bar is a fantastic accompaniment to the dishes they offer. Breakfast options are also pretty good.”
