“Lazy Gator is located at Bell and Hillside and currently offers dining in or curbside pickup. They have a bar inside, clean restrooms and a menu that offers a variety of cajun inspired food. Having moved to Amarillo from Florida, I really miss good seafood. When I go to Lazy Gators, I always get the shrimp and scallops and they never disappoint. The food here is reasonable and really tastes great. They're never busy when we go in so service is good and fast. I would highly recommend Lazy Gator's if you're looking for a nice variety at a good price. Oh, and don't forget to try one of their cocktails, they've created some very interesting combinations.”

“This was probably some of the best sweet and sour chicken I've ever had. I always heard good reviews of Chiyo's so we decided to try it. We wanted to go in and eat but when we got there, we saw a sign saying drive thru only. They're suffering from staff shortages like everyone else. We went through the drive thru and waited but there was nothing. Their speaker doesn't work so just drive up to the window. They had specials posted on the window. It started out as sort of a rough experience but the food really made up for it. They are affordable and I can't say enough about the food, I highly recommend you give them a try, just be patient with the experience.”

“Average seafood restaurant. Staff not the friendliest ever. Waitress seemed to rush us. Pretty good variety. Plenty of choices. Lots of fried things. Needed a few more sides. I did not understand why okra was not a side choice. I had to get it as an appitizer. More than i needed and more expensive. The chicken tenders had a kick if you like that. Have jambalaya which lots of people love. Not somewhere i would go again. Not too impressive to me.”

“Very very good food. This place's Mexican food is as good if not better than some of the top Mexican restaurants in town. Best tacos in Amarillo. Everything is homemade made and fresh and fast. “This place has a lot of promise. The reviews are consistently high and when I pulled up the smell in the parking lot was a siren's song lulling me into the front door. However, it's fairly difficult to give a review when they don't have my top three meat choices to choose from. They were out of pork ribs and sliced beef.(I presume brisket.) And they don't offer pulled pork, to my dismay. So I went with the chopped beef, which was my fourth choice. It was flavorless mush and I cannot recommend it. The potato salad which served as my side was good. The chopped beef sandwich, potato salad, and sweet tea were $12.00, shown below. I remain neutral at this point.”

“I couldn't get enough of that salad!! Ranch is not what I expected but it was good. Pizza was good but I would have been fine with the salad alone. The salad was picture perfect, fresh and sweet because of the cherry tomatoes. Besides the pizza and salad, we also ordered Lemon Pepper and Buffalo flavored wings. The wings were flavorful and delicious. My husband and I agreed that the wings had a unique flavor;) I was disappointed only with the flavor of tea. Service was on point though and a lady and guy teamed up to serve our group of 12 with excellence. Last but not least, this restaurant had a really cool mural on their building. Unique place for sure. I'm glad the ranch and wings tasted different than what we are used to because it made the restaurant even more unique!”

“This is a small place with big flavors! The oysters are so fresh and the catfish and shrimp are also delish! The beer is on ice so it’s very cold. “07/27/22 - My first time ever at Torchy's Tacos. Although busy, it wasn't crowded, and the location was clean, the staff friendly and helpful. But, OH MY GOSH!, the food was incredible! The chicken 🐔 and beef 🐄 fajitas were outstanding, and the queso 🧀 sauce with avocado 🥑 is absolutely unbelievable! Not only was the food delicious, the prices were still quite reasonable. I will definitely be adding Torchy's Tacos to my list of favorite restaurants in Amarillo. VERDICT: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.”

Our favorite appetizer is the jalapeño poppers, they do them a little different with feta cheese and they are just so tasty! The Nutty Hawaiian salad with chicken is also a go-to option, it has pineapple chunks, cranberries and the most amazing sun-dried tomato’s I think I’ve ever had… For Pizza, the BBQ Chicken & Cade and Blake are a couple of our favs… Love this spot, it’s one of our favorite places for pizza in Amarillo.”
