My husband and I went to neighborhood sushi for our date night and had an amazing experience! We loved everything about the new SOCO restaurant. The entrance through the back parking lot made us feel like we had stumbled onto a secret spot. The interior had a beautiful aesthetic of modern meets comfort. We received amazing service from Leah, she was very knowledgeable and had warm hospitality. She offered amazing suggestions from the birds nest salad (perfect blend of textures and flavors) to the daily grilled collar (yellowfin) paired with a mind blowing pickled wasabi. We also got a few nigiri and some hand rolls. Everything was delicious and perfect. This is one of my new favorite spots:) thank you for making our date night feel special!

We headed over to Neighborhood Sushi a couple of days after it opened! Japanese cuisine is my hubby's favorite so we knew we needed to try it out, plus the SOCO facing side looked awesome! We made a reservation and headed in for dinner.

Service: Great! From the hostess at the front to our server, everyone made us feel comfortable with masks on and seating people at a distance. We also brought our baby so they were kind enough to seat us in the back corner booth. The space was clean and I like that they offer an outdoor seating space too because SOCO is too fun for people watching!

Food: Any tempura we ordered was delicious. Arguably the best in town. The fried batter actually stuck onto the food rather than falling apart before getting a good bite. Order the edamame for sure! The quality of the fish was fantastic, the presentation was great, but we didn't feel like the price warranted the straightforward sushi approach. If they want to add some pizzazz to the sushi, I'll happily pay those prices otherwise other places in town will have this space beat with the sushi. The fried milk was decadent and delicious but I loved the light, summery white peach yuzu ice cream.

Conclusion: We will definitely go back for the tempura! I'd love to see more pizzazz on the sushi side. Great location and beautiful space inside!
