“The epitome of a local coffee shop. As soon as you walk in, the staff makes you feel at home. The type of place where they remember your order, greet you with a friendly smile, and you leave with an incredible cup of coffee to bring a little joy to your day. I especially love their outdoor seating area, it's covered so you can pretty much enjoy it all year long! Everyone who visits us, this is always the shop we take them to and everybody loves it! “Note: this review focuses on Ike's vegan options, but they have amazing meat sandwiches too, according to my husband. Austin has a great vegan food scene but something it sorely missed was a decent vegan sandwich. Most places offer some variation on a veggie sandwich, which usually consists of veggies and hummus, and it always sucks. Ike's doesn't treat vegan options as an afterthought. They have a whole host of vegan meats and cheese that create these amazingly filling and delicious sandwiches. I have tried many of them over the years and have never been disappointed. I am so grateful that this new location opened up so I no longer have to drive out to Cedar Park (or fly to California) to get my Ike's fix. This is the best sandwich in Austin, hands down. Aside from the awesome food, the staff is super friendly, location is great, everything is awesome. Go try it out.”

“Very nice kid friendly breakfast joint. Fun and unique menu items. Very clean and fresh. My only critique would be that I think the chicken and waffles would be better with either drums, wing or breast. Thigh meat is a little fatty when fried IMHO. I was also surprised that the sausage side is link sausage rather than breakfast sausage. Look forward to trying the hash and toad in a hole the next visit.”

“Good Neapolitan pizza closer to town than Pieous. I've enjoyed their thicker crust pizza sold at dinner (sorta like deep dish), but the real star is the Neapolitan style. Cooked on high heat for 90 seconds, you get a delicious outer crust with a slight char and a soft center. They have classic topping combos, but take a look at some of their specialties like the one with bacon marmalade. Their dessert pizzas are also worth a look, but save room for Cow Tipping Creamery next door.”

“I ordered the fish and chips. I fish was pretty good, slightly crispy and fairly large in size. The Cole slaw was a little spicy with a nice flavor. The French fries were terrible. They had so much salt on them they were hard to eat. I feel that if they were not over salted they might have been good. They had the skins on which gives a more bold flavor. The service was so so.”

“I have been here twice recently and had outstanding service each time. I've seen others say the service is slow but I didn't have that issue. Our mozzarella cheese sticks didn't come out right and the manager took it off our bill with no issues. The burgers are big and they have almost any kind you can think of. Prices are a little high but the bottomless fries make up for it. I enjoy their rewards program I receive an offer at least twice a month.”

I purchased a plain Croissant, a large Palmiers and a mini lemon tart. I tried the lemon tart right away and it was just right, not too sweet and just the right amount of tartness.”
