“Traveling through from Austin TX on our way to Jackson Hole WY and got off the interstate to gas up and grab lunch. Saw Cafe Rio and decided to try Mexican grill food in Utah. Well, nice try to serve like Chipotle, however, our order was not right, quesadilla instead of enchilada that was ordered, missed serving the queso with the chips, salsa, and queso. Manager made a fair attempt to make it right by providing the queso at no cost. Young bus helper was the brightest experience here as he came by our seats several times and asked if we needed anything else as he went about cleaning.”

One thing is for sure is he is always willing to go above and beyond to help his employees out however he can..... I have NEVER heard him be derogatory towards anyone. Our cash registers do not tell us what change to give back so being able to count back correct change is VERY IMPORTANT! “My husband has been going here since he was a teenager. Some of his friends have worked here as well. The service is always great! We usually have Brian as our server. The owner is always pleasant and welcoming also. Good items to order : Lettuce wrap starter Tangerine chicken Mango chicken The shrimp and broccoli in garlic sauce The veggie and chicken noodles Basically everything here is good, just depends on your taste. They've been open through covid. At this time they are seating customers with a bit of space between each table. It is family friendly, we have had big groups with lots of kids. It's kind of our go-to for a nicer family dinner out. Lunch is cheaper but still great portion sizes. Thank you for the continued excellent service!!”

“I deducted one star because we were the only customers (at 6:30 pm, prime dinner time), several employees were behind the counter having conversation, and none of the tables were clean. My wife had to stand off to the side while I asked for a rag to go prep a table for us to sit. Food was excellent, as always.”

“I had lunch here with an old friend while on a one night layover on my way to visit family in California. I was impressed with the variety on the menu. Even though they were about to close at 3pm for cleaning between lunch and dinner, we weren't rushed and had a great meal. They are taking great care to provide a safe environment with ample spacing between guests, and the servers are friendly and attentive. I had a Shasta scramble with plenty of veggies, a dish of fresh fruit and a ginormous biscuit I had to take with me. Will definitely look for Black Bear Diners as I travel.”

“‘When the cat’s away, the mice will play.’ Anytime mom is gone the boys and I hit up ‘Old McDonald’s’. Our son loves to go and it has become our thing. The boys go for the Happy Meals and I go for the Coke. I probably lose a little credibility for giving McDonalds 5 Stars but for as much as my boys love going there and for as much as I love the Coke I have a hard time giving it any less.”
