“Some of the best BBQ I've had! I ate half the sandwich before I could stop to take a picture. Potato salad is amazing- best I've had. Quick, great service. Inexpensive prices for the amount of delicious food.”

“The best breakfast in Escalante. Our five-year-old loved this place because it has a marble run toy that kept him entertained while our food was being made. Excellent croissant sandwiches and baked goods. And I’m very picky about my croissants!”

“The King's Mesa pizza was one of the best pizza's we have eaten out here in the west! The sourdough crust was the right amount of crispy outside while just the perfect chewy inside. The pizza came loaded with toppings and it was very flavorful. We took desserts home with us and they look incredible. The dogs enjoyed being able to sit outside with us on this beautiful day. What a great find and a yummy stop!”

“Wow, what a delicious surprise! Stopped by this place on the way through town and boy I’m glad we did! The staff was friendly and accommodating. We didn’t realize how close to closing time we had stopped but the staff assured us we were not an inconvenience. We each had a burger, they were excellent! Not often do you get a patty that size cooked to perfection! We also enjoyed the perfectly cooked fries and onion rings with some delightful homemade ranch! If you are in the area stop by, you won’t regret it! I now know why they call it the flying GOAT cafe, Greatest Of All Time!”

“Lovely place and delicious food! The jenchiladas were YUMMY, with pumpkin are a good mix of a little spice and sweet. The braised beef was also perfect. The dark magic gingerbread mix with caramel sauce is 100% and you can buy the mix to make at home! Nick was a lovely human and provided exceptional, personalized customer service. I will be back!”

“If I could, I would give 6 stars to this place. What a pleasant surprise! We stopped here by chance on our way to Capitol Reef. We took 4 different sandwiches and an apple pie. Everything was amazing. Very original sandwiches, perfect mix of flavors and textures. The service was also excellent. This will for sure remain one of the highlights of our 3 week trip in the US.”

“Splendid surprise in the desert. It’s a little out-of-the-way, but well worth the drive. It’s even a more incredible experience if you can spend the night. The restaurant is phenomenal, and the adjacent lodging accommodations are lovely. It was a welcomed restful night after being in the desert for a few days camping. The staff was phenomenal, and the trout taco absolutely blew me away!”

“This is the best cheesesteak I have ever had. Juices were literally dripping from the sandwhich. So good. The corn was fresh and buttered, could use some extra salt. The chili is awesome and has a nice kick to it. Will be coming back!”

“Great cozy quality place! A successful friendly eatery well run by a hard working couple. Good food in a cool historic Mormoneer home in a beautiful frontier wilderness town. Surrounding this remote outpost is one of those last remaining big 'blank spots' in the West, a Federal Public Lands treasure beyond comparison!”

“Delicious burger. I asked for a cheeseburger with everything. The lettuce tomato onion and pickle were fresh and a delicious addition to the burger. The added serious cheese. The bun was solid but not too thick. The burger was cooked just right and flavorful. Sweet potato fries were hot and yummy and they gave a generous portion. We sat out side at one of their many picnic tables and overall it was an enjoyable experience. Very pleasant employees.”

“My wife and I visited 4th West Pub a few times during our trip to Escalate. We we’re expecting a local dive bar, and while we found the vibe we wanted, we we’re both very impressed with our meals, drinks and service. Dave (Yes, The Dave) was so friendly and shared info about not only the area, but the building in which the bar is. A must stop if you’re in the area!”

“This was the only dinner place we could find when we arrived in Escalante at around 8:30pm on a Friday in April. We had the restaurant to ourselves. First had to place the order, pay, then get seated. I had the chicken tortilla soup and it was amazing! Also had the peppermint hot tea and that was perfect too. We shared the chips and salsa - quite unique with the spices they added, and the dessert pie was alright.”

“If you want good Mexican food in Escalante, look no further. My husband and I tried: - Corner Café Smothered Burrito with sirloin strips - Hiker's Favorite Quesadilla with sirloin beef strips - Chips & Dips - Horchata and Lavender Lemonade Both of our entrees were good. My personal favorite was the burrito because I loved the sauce. I enjoyed the bean dip, but I wish you could get it with chips without having to add on salsa too. The lavender lemonade was fantastic. It's a truck, but they have tables which you can eat at outside. Stop here for lunch and you won't be disappointed.”

“Visited North Creek Grill on a recommendation from a friend in town. The food and service were both incredible. Bryce and Mel couldn’t have been more friendly and informative. I enjoyed an elk burger along with a salad and burrata. Delicious, and the perfect meal. If a double elk burger was an option, I’d have ordered it! Great food!”
