“This was the star of our trip. We drove from Cape Cod specifically to experience VL. What a gem. Tucked away on a cutie pie street in an equally cutie pie town. The setting is bucolic and VL is the bomb. Inside, the bakers are creating amazing sweet and savory treats. I honestly cannot remember what our treats were called but they were divine. My partner had Turkish eggs and this fluffy bread. Don't ask, just GO. Mad love for VL.”

“Basin Harbor is a destination and the Red Mill is always good Go for the ride and the views. Service was great our server Joe from Kansas was very friendly, what red blooded Vermonter doesn't like a young man from Kansas to say they liked Basin Harbor better than the city in Kansas they came from? The food wad good. This summer I am going for the "bowl " salads. We had the shrimp, however the composition of what was underneath could have been done more chef like, instead of just laying there.”

“The food was great! I ordered salads and sandwiches for a lunch meeting and Natalie was super helpful and paid attention to all the details. She even wrote our names on each order and this is the kind of personal touch that really makes Community Market stand out. I'm so glad we have this option in Vergennes.”

“Best mussels and service hands down!!! Can’t wait to reserve a booth and see our favorite waitress, Sarah, again!”

“The wait was a bit long, but the pizza was really good. I don’t like a ton of sauce and they got the ratio down. The reason I am not giving it five stars is because of the garlic knots. They tasted good, but they are bite sized. They only sent six on our order, and I think they either need to make the knots bigger or they need to add more to the orders.”

“The food here was amazing! We stopped for lunch on our way to Burlington. They had some great beers and ciders available too. There is no table service, you must order at counter and your food will be brought out to you. The employees were friendly and the service was fast even during a lunch rush.”

“Finally! Been looking for months to find an all American bacon cheeseburger. Luigi's nailed it. Would have appreciated a toasted bun, but ill request next time. No frills, no under cooked fries or Carmelized onions or strange "jams". Just a real juicy and tasty burger with fries for under 9 bucks!! I'll be back!”

“The food was amazing, I could eat the buffalo chicken garlic knots all day! The pizza was delicious topped with plenty of flavorful toppings and the crust was good. So happy it wasn’t the normal bland VT style of thin crust. Locally sourced without being crazy expensive, a rarity in VT. The beer was decent, happy they had a larger selection than just IPA.”

“Wow! I was blown away by the quality and taste of the food offered. The menu may seem sparse, but it serves its job with excellence in a way an extensive menu cannot. The help was amazing and the decor was light and minimalist, bringing a much-needed air of modernity to the breakfast and brunch sector. I could not recommend the chai latte more (it is the best latte that I've had in my short time on Earth) and the soup and toast meal is to die for. If you need a fantastic breakfast, brunch or lunch at responsible prices near Vergennes, you cannot beat the Laundry.”

“If you are in the area, Black Sheep Bistro is an absolutely incredible place to eat. The food is a just a hair on the pricier side (all entrees are $22) but it is delicious and the fact they bring family style mashed potatoes and French fries for the table make it more than worth it. The balsamic, bacon and brie chicken breast is one of my all time favorite dishes. Black Sheep is the place to go if you are looking for a great meal in the area.”
