“This was the star of our trip. We drove from Cape Cod specifically to experience VL. What a gem. Tucked away on a cutie pie street in an equally cutie pie town. The setting is bucolic and VL is the bomb. Inside, the bakers are creating amazing sweet and savory treats. I honestly cannot remember what our treats were called but they were divine. My partner had Turkish eggs and this fluffy bread. Don't ask, just GO. Mad love for VL.”

“Let me start of by being very clear this is a restaurant...not just a food truck, not just a catering company. Its a beautiful, amazing, delicious restautant that my love and I happened upon, only by chance since the owners dont classify this place as a restaurant on Google Maps...they need to! Do IT!! Thank you! this time in Vermont is different, the state is dealing with mass flooding events and lots of devestation, but eveyone was clam, cool, and just livin' their Vermont Lives. We are in town for a Wedding and after a 9 mile hike needed food and drink. Most places in Middlebury dont open until 4ish but lukcy for us the owners of the Crooked Ladle were open due to some unique cercumstances. We started with the cocktials, I had the Corpse Reviver #2 and my love had the green one...The Plant Lady. Now one of the owners was our bartender and she warned us the she is not the normal barkeep. But the drinks were great. Due to this unique situation and losing power the night before we only had a couple options - lite bites. We immediately ordered the Fries and also the Shrimp Noodle Salad. Ok kids, I'm going to say something, and its big...THESE ARE SOME OF THE BEST FRIES AND DIPPING SAUCE THAT WE HAVE EVER HAD, LIKE FOR REALS!!! They are really great and that sauce, lemony and extra horseradish YES!! HELL YES! Thank you! The shirmp salad was also delicious, tons of flavor and fresh ingredients. We cleared our plates and opted for a Key Lime Pie with raspberry coulis. Very good! We also decided to had a couple more drinks to celebrate our newly found favorite French Fries!! I had an espresso martini and my love the Undertaker - which they pineapple jalapeno mixture in house. It was perfect. HOW could it be finding such an amazing place to eat in VERMONT?? Well, its the people! Thank you to the owners of Crooked Ladle - I highly recommend you name the resturant The Crooked Ladle - thats it, no catering or truck... And to my love, thank you for inviting me to this wedding. We had only been dating months when you asked if I wanted to go with you, to be your + 1. Now I'm your forever + 1 and your my forever and always. thank you for seeing me, loving me, wanting me. This time we have shared together, finding each other, forging new adventures, finding all this amazing FOOD, meeting all these beautiful people has been the absolute most perfect and wonderful time of my life. I charish every moment of our love today, tomorrow, and beyond. I love you to the moon and back, and 5 more steps! Love, your Moon! KISS KISS”

“I love stopping in for a quick country- inspired meal, and the music (Saturdays in the summer?) And good company made the evening just a little special. Definitely eat out on the porch to get the most of this little country store/ restaurant. And don't forget to save time to take a look at the cool gift shop.”

“Basin Harbor is a destination and the Red Mill is always good Go for the ride and the views. Service was great our server Joe from Kansas was very friendly, what red blooded Vermonter doesn't like a young man from Kansas to say they liked Basin Harbor better than the city in Kansas they came from? The food wad good. This summer I am going for the "bowl " salads. We had the shrimp, however the composition of what was underneath could have been done more chef like, instead of just laying there.”

“The food was great! I ordered salads and sandwiches for a lunch meeting and Natalie was super helpful and paid attention to all the details. She even wrote our names on each order and this is the kind of personal touch that really makes Community Market stand out. I'm so glad we have this option in Vergennes.”

“Middlebury's best kept secret FOR SURE. EVERYTHING is fresh. Generous portions, EXCELLENT FOOD (best in town like I said) and Owner Operated. The owners are friendly, and clearly VERY passionate about the food they cook. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Go...you WON'T be disappointed.”

“Friends brought us to the Queen Bee for lunch yesterday. This was our first visit and it won't be the last. The food was great, the delightful lady at the order window makes it feel like you are sitting down in her home. Slightly out of the way but well worth the drive.”

“Fantastic restaurant with superior staff and cuisine! Additionally, Tourterelle is an absolutely beautiful wedding venue! Bill, Christine and their staff make sure that your event is absolutely perfect and I promise you will have an excellent meal from their top notch chefs. Their dining hall is perfect for large events no matter the weather and gives that wonderful "homey" "Vermont" feel. 100% recommend Tourterelle”

“The wait was a bit long, but the pizza was really good. I don’t like a ton of sauce and they got the ratio down. The reason I am not giving it five stars is because of the garlic knots. They tasted good, but they are bite sized. They only sent six on our order, and I think they either need to make the knots bigger or they need to add more to the orders.”

“What a beautiful golf course! In the middle of the Green mountains with perfect views! Very nicely designed and maintained. I only played the 9 back holes with my son - but what a beautiful experience! I can really recommend this course - best time seems to be the fall with all the beautiful colors of the trees!”

“Pleasant random stop on a Sunday drive. I happened to stop in Middlebury VT and decided to stop in to see what the Mad Taco was about. After looking at the place and the menu I decided to give it a try. I'm very glad I did. The place is casual, fun and the staff friendly and welcoming. The prices are fair and the Cubano sandwich I got was enough for two. The sandwich was really quite spectacular. I feel a little guilty not trying a taco.”

“We have been to dinner three times here in the last few months, and have enjoyed each experience. The big post and beam "gazebo" room is a very nice addition to the space, with warm visuals and gentle acoustics that make conversation easy. Service is professional although a little stiff for Vermont. Cocktail menu is creative, with a good range of spirits (its always nice to see tequila on specials in Vermont), and so far we have been impressed with the bartender's sense of balance in terms of sweetness and complexity of flavor. Frankly, the calamari is the best we've ever had. As required in Vermont, the draft beer selection has a collection of local drafts - Frost's Lush was our choice and it was as always superb. Salads are delicious. Wine selection is acceptable. The potato gnocchi and lamb entrees were very satisfying. Dessert list is short, although each are excellent that we tried. In summary, Starry Night is one of the higher priced restaurants in Vermont, its "out of the way" in Ferrisburgh, but it is worth both the price and the trip. Well run, well staffed from hostess through chef and bartender, and a nice atmosphere that is a treat for special occasions, even if that is just a pleasant evening out with friends.”
