“Everyone raves about August First and I can see why. It's in a beautiful part of town and the inside is stunning. The high ceilings make for an airy dining area. There are tables outside. The menu is impressive. What I did love was the coffee and my wife enjoyed her maple biscuit. However, I ordered eggs and potatoes and it was not good. The eggs were dried out and the potatoes flavorless for having herbs on them. If we were to go again, I'd just order coffee.”

“If you don’t want to read this whole review, just know that you should head to Poco soon! To start, the layout is great. The dining area feels very open, yet cozy at the same time. There’s a wonderful mix of seating options, including the bar, high top tables, and bench seats. I also heard that they’re working on setting up some outdoor seating which will be perfect for the summer. There’s a large menu board right near the register where you order and while you won’t find a huge list of items to choose from, there’s a nice mix of options that should satisfy just about everyone. While I expect crowd pleasers like the fried chicken sandwich will be around most of the time, the menu will change based on seasonal availability which is a great reason to head back for another meal. On my first visit I had the truffle fries, which are cut “shoestring” style. They were crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside and the truffle wasn’t overdone. I also ordered a fried chicken sandwich that had just the right amount of heat and spice, balanced by a honey drizzle and pickled veggies. To finish, I couldn’t pass up the butterscotch pudding with smoked whipped cream and graham cracker crumble. It was amazing! Poco is a great addition to the downtown Burlington food scene and I’m very much looking forward to my next visit.”

“The vibe here is great once you walk in. The locals love it. Its conveniently right next to the water. Got a strong college place feel to it. Workers are friendly and open to offer suggestions. The food is a mixed bag. To my discerning out of town palate, my spin-art dip was was a little too garlicky. And i love garlic. The chips are pieces of fried crepe were a disappointment. I'm used to it being lighter, these were brick hard. Some were stale. To my teenager, this was great and perfect. Her cheese burger was on point and so was the pesto crepe. Price for 4 including iced tea was $52 with tip.”

“Great food! Quick delivery service, friendly drivers with great attitudes. Ordered from a third party delivery service and had to wait an hour and a half for my food to get to me old and cold. Ordered from chicken Charlie’s for dinner food came quick and still steaming right to my front door. Again drivers have great attitudes so I had to tip well.”

“Faith was wonderful at getting our orders right. She was efficient, personable and detail oriented. The chips were perfect as was the salsa. Unfortunately the soda machine was nearly empty and the tables were dirty. Regardless best visit here in a while.”

“The boat-like bow appearance of the incredibly stocked salad bar is aptly called the salad boat on the menu. An attendant is on full-time duty ensuring the mirror-image choices on both paths along the bow are well stocked. The bread loaves are warm. The veggies are fresh and colorful. There’s always a pasta salad and potato salad and fresh cubed fruit available too. There are plenty of dressing choices, but my favorite is creamy dill. At each end of the salad bar are the non-refrigerated items to top off your salad like sunflower seeds, bacon crumbles and raisins. Across from the bow is the the cracker and cheese board with spicy jelly. It’s because of all these wonderful fulfilling choices that I usually just order the salad boat. But there are many delicious meals you can order for a few dollars more that also include the salad boat. Choose steak, seafood, chicken and vegetarian options. I’ve enjoyed scallops and salmon dinners many times over the years. This last time I decided to try something different and had the vegetarian ravioli that comes with asparagus and candied pecans. The presentation was beautiful. It was tasty and quite filling. The Windjammer also offers French Onion soup, chowder, a variety of appetizers including fried calamari, wines, beers and desserts. The atmosphere, decor, and service complete the picture of this wonderful restaurant.”

“Very impressive little market. They have a good balance between Asian staple items (sauces, oils, noodles, frozen goods) and speciality snacks such as chips, sweets, and ramen. They also have a small selection of produce that is fresh and well curated. The store is clean and the staff is very friendly. There is an accessible ramp to the building, but the parking lot is a tad bit small. It is surrounded by many other lots though so not really a problem.”

“Generally good food here, and a nice alternative to some of the University's other offerings. Hey regularly attend for some of the Indian-style curry is offered there. I would say usually the food there is fairly high-quality, but not exactly top-notch at the same time. A good deal for what you pay for it.”

“Didn't realize this was part of Delta Hotel. Came here for a breakfast meeting. Pancake was really good and portion was huge. Coffee was good, not unlike some of the Courtyard Marriot coffee.”

“My wife and I ate at Pulcinella's a few months ago and I have been meaning to write a review. Well, here it is! First off, the service was very personal and thorough. It definitely had a family-style italian feel. That said, there was a significant wait time once we ordered our good til when we got it (45 minutes or so). It was well worth the wait! Our dinners were fantastic! I highly recommended their pasta and seafood dishes (their lasagna is amazing). The prices were very fair for the portion sizes and quality. enjoy!”

“This place really doesn't have the best food. But it doesn't have the worst food either, the menu cycles through limited options. Also really no good options available for Vegans.”

“Great pizza! With all of the options in the Burlington area, this seems to be my go-to. Great quality pizza without being too niche or high-brow. The staff is always nice and friendly, and I've never had to wait long for my food to be ready. Highly recommend!”

“Really nice restaurant. Big portions of great food from very nice, friendly people. Check out the day of the week and the daily specials. The lunch fish and chip special is a real price performer! My wife and I started with fried mushrooms appetizer (a meal in itself) and then split an order of fish and chips. We were both stuffed and happy. It's a bit hard to spot back in the parking lot. Well worth the effort. Highly recommend!”

“I love the baked goods here, and the overall atmosphere is so lovely. Also, the staff are kind--when my friend with a newborn baby in tow accidentally spilled her tea, they kindly made her a new one, which made her day. Highly recommend!”

“Great food! Quick service at amazing prices with great listening waiters. The music is something new, the food is again great. It is hot and tastes like classic Chinese. The reason that I gave it 4 though is because everything is a little sticky. This includes that tables and bathroom but I would definitely eat here again soon.”

“Ordered online—not as easy or intuitive as it should be from a national chain. Used coupon from website. Pizza was fine. I won’t get the garlic crust again. Not a fan of the powdered garlic. Staff was friendly.”

“This is a very nice location. They offer some unique foods to the area that are hard to come by. The space the restaurant rents appears run down but it does not affect the quality of their food. If you're looking for something unique I recommend trying it”

“If you're really hungry and want a truly satisfying sandwich, Martone's is pretty hard to beat. Their large sandwiches, while a little pricey compared to the nearby Subway are huge. Like enough for 2 meals, huge! I don't know how they manage to pile them up so high and thick. The bread is fresh and delicious. Their meat is from Boars Head provisions and is truly amazing, by far, the best cold cuts around. They also have a lot of odd, yet interesting toppings available like hummus and a hot pepper relish that is outstanding. They also serve delicious gourmet coffee and often have kabobs and marinated steak tips prepared and ready for you to take home and grill yourself. They also offer fresh salads and some homemade baked goodies, too. The building itself is also really cool, and oozes atmosphere with it's high tin sealings and wide plank floors. Definitely a lot cozier and less sterile a setting than the local Subway, too.”
