“Came out for the fish fry. Happily surprised that it included clam strips. Huge portion. Taking home a portion large enough for another meal. Perfectly cooked fish with just the right amount of breading. Moist inside and flakey. The waitstaff are friendly and check in during the meal just the right amount of times. They were able to accommodate my daughter’s gluten intolerance. We will be back.”

“Portions are generous, flavors are mild. The steak in the steak fajitas was tough and hard to eat because the pieces were sliced too large to be bite-sized, but you can't bite them in half because the meat is too tough. Needs to be a better cut or marinated much longer and sliced thinner (or all three). Flavors are very mild/bland (not sure if they used any marinade/seasoning on the steak at all). Happy to see some decent bottled craft beer on the menu! I'll go back eventually, but not with high expectations. They really needed to nail this with the Mexican place in Claremont being so good and so close, but they didn't. Toppings are very American (iceberg lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced white onion, mild cheese). Would be better if it came out with a good guacamole, salsa, lime, and cheese, but instead came out with the kinds of toppings a 50 year old white soccer mom would provide on taco night (shredded iceberg lettuce has no place in a restaurant other than the child's menu). Bland meat, but the salsa is good. The service was also extremely slow. Had I been there alone and without someone to entertain me, I might have given up and left since it took like 45 minutes for the food to arrive and there were only two other tables filled in the rest of the establishment. Thankfully they had a decent beer on the menu and chips and salsa while waiting and the view of the river plus the new bright, clean, and tasteful interior decor makes it a nice place to spend an hour.”

“Found this nice pizza shop while on our way through town today ???? Stopped in to see what the place was like, checked out their menu and immediatly found something that we would like to have for lunch. I decided to try their "Large Italian grinder" with a side of french fries my wife chose their "barbeque Chicken fingers" with a side of french fries. For the beverages I chose their bottle pomegranate flavor juice drink, also we picked the new, "Dr. Pepper blueberry flavor soda". Our meals turned out great, there is adequate seating available, or you can order your meals to-go. “If you're from NY or Boston and expect hyper fast service then you need to recalibrate a little and remember this is VT. I work and live in Manhattan - if I want a 30 minute dinner I know where to get one. On the other hand if I want well executed, freshly prepared food in a laid back environment with servers who care then the Copper Fox has that. Nice selection of apps and entrees interesting beer selection and pretty decent wines at good prices. Dial back your I-need-it-now angst and take time to enjoy your company and the food & drink and you'll get why this place is worth top marks.”

“Update: the manager called me and did everything he could to make the situation right. Hopefully they were just having a bad day. But I do believe him when he says he wants to work fix this from happening again. ——— Never had a bad experience at a subway before. But today we got a sandwich with a fly in it. In addition all the containers had pieces of other stuff in them (bacon slices in the chicken container, olives in the lettuce etc...) which led to getting a couple olives that were not asked for. Not sure how others have said this place is always “clean”. Plus, if the employee had been even slightly empathetic when I told her what had happened it would have helped. That was not the case. But finding a fly makes me never want to go to a subway again.”
