“Wow. I'm in a food coma. Absolutely amazing. Was not expecting to get a meal like this in Rochester, VT. The food was cooked perfectly. Everything was absolutely delicious. The beer selection was amazing, service was top notch and the dessert - out of this world. I highly recommend eating here. Wish we had another night to try something else on the menu.”

“Great little cafe in a great little town in Vermont. We were passing through saw this place and decided to stop in. It is a nice clean small place. The staff was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The place was a favorite among locals, which is a good sign. My wife enjoyed her clam chowder and salad. I enjoyed my sandwich. If you are in the area stop in you'll enjoy this cafe.”

“Wonderful bakery. We had bagel sandwiches, smoked salmon and smoked trout. They also sell and array of coffee drinks. The staff is very friendly. Seating outside on the porch and inside among shelves of used books for sale. Book store is in two houses, with a large assortment of used books. Definitely worth stopping at.”

“On the plus side, friendly owners/staff, good breakfast and dinner, clean rooms, charmingly quaint inn. However, our room was very cold as it was July and the central AC was on full blast. And there was quite a bit of water leakage from the bathroom upstairs to our friends' room one night. Going between 3 and 4 stars.”

“I'm sorry I don't have pictures. We were tired, hungry travelers. The owner welcomed us, made us perfectly cooked to order burgers. Really good fries, good coffee, reasonably priced! A must stop if you're in the area! I forgot to mention, there is an impressive selection of wine for sale as well, attractively on display(I really wish I had taken pictures, I actually had left my phone in the car. Did I mention we were weary travelers!)”

“Delicious.thin crust Pesto pizza. Limited evening hours. Excellent large Greek salad. Large crowd due in part to need to boil water in neighboring town. Would recommend for the tasty food.”

“We ate outdoors on the covered deck. Great view of the expansive front yard and gazebo. Walked past the cozy bar area and through the dinning rooms to be seated on the porch. Looks like they can accommodate larger groups outside on the out door patio area. The three of us had three very different items for dinner and they were all good. Bruschetta, baked cod and fish (shrimp) tacos. Basic wine selection but good. Also some good draft and bottled beer choices. Casual or semi casual appropriate. We had reservations. Would go back again!”

“We went for the first time since the fire and had dinner. We waited 30+ minutes for food. I ordered one of the specials; country fried chicken. It was overcooked, hard on the outside, and the breading just tasted like grease. My husband's steak bomb was just ok (the portion was huge though). The fries are great. Having said all this, our waitress was wonderful and very understanding. She took my food away asked asked what else I wanted. I got a grilled cheese (in the spirit of time since we already waited so long and my husband was nearly done eating). That was really good. They felt bad and it reflected on the bill.”

“This was the best breakfast!! The pancakes melt in your mouth and the bacon was cooked to perfection! My husband had their white bread and couldn't stop making comments about how good it was! Staff was amazing and food came out fast! Also love the country store! Highly recommend coming here, they have breakfast all day!!! WOW”

“The vegetarian burger was top notch! I never have high hopes for bean burgers patties. They come out dry, mushy, and bland at most places. Worthy Burger's patty was mean based, but it had artichoke (and maybe more things) in it, and the burger was dressed around the flavors. The result was delicious! It was still a bit mushy, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment at all. The burger comes with fries, but they are prepared in beef tallow. I subbed those out for a salad at no extra charge. I also ordered pickles for the table. The pickles of the day included grapes, carrots, and squash. The grapes were strange and delightful. The entire table had fun trying them. It's an experience upgrade that I would recommend for any group. Don't expect service to be fast. We waited in line for 30+ minutes just to order during busy hours on a Saturday night. But you can order drinks while waiting in line. Beer people loved the local beer selection, and soda people loved the Maine Root blueberry soda. Overall, it was a fantastic trip.”

“Great local place;, perched above and set back from river. A lot of seafood, some steak; friendly wait staff. Always busy, so reservations are good. There were three of us, no reservations and we didn't wait more than 10-15 minutes. Looks like a favorite for folks living in the area. Casual and they accommodate all ages. Draft and bottled beer, basic wine selection and mixed drinks. Parking in front and across the road. We noticed a take out window with soft serve ice cream as we left. Leave room for the maple bread pudding! Yum”

“Amazing home grown outdoor restaurant with even better food and service with a beautiful view. We had the burgers, which were amazing and bought from local farmers, scallops, chili, chicken tenders and even stayed to try the ice cream which was even better than the amazing meal. This is a must stop for any family or even a quick affordable lunch while working. Keep up the great work!”

“We had a family reunion with 23 adults and children attending for a long weekend. The Staff at the Inn were absolutely fantastic! They arranged a reception for 35 on Saturday afternoon and a family sit down dinner on Sunday evening, both without any problems. Gracious and attentive. Our rooms were spacious and clean. Would recommend the Inn without hesitation.”

“Great live jazz trio on Tuesday nights featuring an occasional guest vocals. Interesting, well prepared small plates on the menu, decent wine selection, several local beers on tap, inventive cocktails and friendly professional service all tucked into a classic New England style country setting. Semi-formal dining as well as a cozy bar area.”

“Great surprise! Was looking for an outdoor place so that we could enjoy delicious food and our shepherd could relax. Found it here! Was there for lunch on our way home from northern VT. Super friendly service, great selection of food, beer and wine, from an outdoor food "camper". Basic to gourmet. So glad we found it. Weirdly ended our vacation better than it started!”

“Wonderful atmosphere, actually stellar. The bathrooms are sufficient however tiny, and the continental breakfast atmosphere is a five-star, the food is a 3 star or 4 star comfortable to Best Western or something of that nature. otherwise I would have left the five star review. The environment and hospitality are without any stretch of the imagination a five-star experience! We would definitely go again”
