“Went here with my parents as part of our Vermont Vacation on August 29th 2023. It was a long ride from South Hero, VT where we stayed. However, it was very quiet and very beautiful. The views of the water are great, and one can even swim at your own risk if you want. (i didn't, but just putting it out there!) I found the sign in the front of the shrine a bit rude which said "due to this being a place of worship, proper attire is required". We didn't see anyone that enforced this, but i found it rude because some people just travel up there as peaceful tourists, and may not be religous either. Cool that there is an outdoor church. There is also buildings with a gift shop and restrooms, and a little musuem. the restrooms were very clean, which is good. the musuem was interesting as it mentioned that the french had church at that location then abandoned it. Also enjoyed the history about Samuel De Champlain, in which the Lake is named after. enjoyed the history part the most.”

“Probably one of the best fried chicken in BTV! You can order online, thru the kiosk or the counter. Ordered an 8 piece fried chicken. Took about 15 minutes which was not bad. Chicken was good, crispy and juicy! They have variety of sauce for the chicken but it is in a small container(not enough for an 8 piece!). Luckily the chicken is good enough that it doesn’t need any sauce.”

“Well, I’m glad to have a Little Caesar’s closer to Burlington. I’ve visited this new location twice so far and have always been somewhat disappointed. Of course, Little Caesars as a chain is naturally hit or miss. Both counter employees I’ve been served by have seemed bored and/or stressed while working. Again, that’s natural I guess, but it’s always nice to meet a genuinely warm and friendly person while getting one’s dinner, and I’ve not yet experienced that here. The prices are significantly higher than Little Caesars in other regions, expect to be paying $10 for a pizza or $15 if getting bread as well. When my pizza was pulled ‘hot and ready’ from their warmer behind the counter it seemed it had been in there for 20 mins despite it being around peak time on a Saturday night. Was deflated and dry, disappointing for the price. Might have gone back to ask for a remake if the employees had seemed a bit warmer interacting with customers. Another time I had the italian cheese bread, which was woefully underseasoned compared to any other time I’ve had that in other states.. The inside is sparkling new and always appears clean. They do have the pizza pick-up box where you can scan a code to get your pizza yourself. For the price, Dominos seems like a better pizza in this area, unless you specifically ask for your Little Caesars pie to be made fresh when you arrive.”

“Biscuit in the Basket is a conventional breakfast and grilled sandwich shop launched by Andrew Kneale of Harrison's fame in the Jackson Skate Arena in Stowe. I didn't try the food but I watched an order of chicken tenders and fries go out. Ample in size ,freshly made with a thin batter,I could see the quality of the food. Then the chef came out and I think that I recognized him as one of the people in the kitchen at the Malt Shop,a popular institution that Andrew''s Mother,Kathy, ran for years. The Malt Shop was my no 1 go to place for soups, sundaes, fries, burgers and grilled sandwiches. The atmosphere at Biscuit in the Basket is community and family. As is tradition, the Kneale family for generations have been involved in the restaurant business in Stowe. Andrew's children were working the counter. Addison, his beautiful daughter was handing out orders while his son wearing a Stowe Raiders hockey sweater was learning the use of the blender. I am going back when hockey season is in full swing. I have included a copy of the full menu for readers to better evaluate.”

“This is a great little place to go to and get something quick with family or friends. They have great food and it's very delicious. I recommend after having lunch or dinner try one of their maple cremes. They are very yummy. Also, this establishment is cash only at this time. So check them out if you traveling thru the area.”

“Good/fun drink menu, place was new at the time we visited so giving them four stars for atmosphere and food taste. Service needs to be ironed out and struggled the night we were there (first week they were open). Their pepperoni was delicious and other toppings were as expected. Had a separate-ish room for larger parties so perhaps call ahead to see if you could reserve that for such an occasion. Everyone else was in the same room so it was a bit noisy, but typical for this kind of place. Would try again next time we are visiting.”

“Best popcorn I've ever had! Delicious and tasty is how Green Mountain Kettle Corn does it. I always look for them during state fairs and in farmers markets. I only wish I could carry more at a time! I love their maple kettlecorn the most but the caramel corn is a close second. They have an insane amount of flavors though! They're what I think of when I think Vermont kettle corn.”

“I just stopped in the East Burke Market this evening, and I was taken by surprise. I was greeted as warmly as I could imagine. I was walked down the aisle as if I were a neighbor in need. They are thoughtful with the groceries and necessities that they offer, including local produce, syrup, etc. In fact, when I recommended that they transition away from an unethical company as their provider for chocolate chips, they immediately assured me that they would add another option just for me. I could not imagine a more wholesome and pleasant experience.”

“This place is GREAT! Great food and top notch service! We had apps and bar food entrées. The Rueben was especially delicious, on marble bread, stacked with meat and all the toppings. Our table would also recommend the boneless wings, they were finger licking good. A special addition was the music that was played. Not too loud but a really good selection..adding to the ambiance. We’ll definitely be back!!!”

“Visited for the first time and couldn't decide what to try. Everything on offer was unique. I ended up buying 1 of everything just so I could sample different things. Part of me wishes they had more available behind the counter, but my wallet was happy with what they had. I've tried several pieces of candy so far and each of them far exceeded my expectations. Even some of the more out their flavors (blue cheese in dark chocolate? fruit loops in white chocolate?) ended up being absolutely delightful. It looks like they have a larger selection available to order online and I will definitely be giving them more of my business.”

“I placed an order through UberEats, and UberEats really failed with their communication. The order was never picked up, and when I eventually called the restaurant they were also wondering what happened. The food had been prepared quickly and was just sitting there waiting. When I ultimately went to pick it up myself the restaurant owner was incredibly kind and very excited as they had just opened. The food was delicious and I’m happy to have this new spot nearby. I look forward to ordering from them (directly) again.”

“SO DARN GOOD! Best kabob in the northeast. All fresh all organic. You can tell how much consideration the chef puts in to his dishes. Plus the chef created his own mobile outdoor kitchen that you just have to see.”

“Think if you decided to locate a food truck in a house. Walk up to the porch and order through the window, to get some very good burrito-style meals. Stopped here for lunch on our way to Newport. Very helpful service and excellent food, especially for the price/value. Happy to find this special place for a yummy, simple take-out.”

“Susanna helped me put together a private dining experience for me and my wife. From the preliminary reach-out, she was very responsive and helpful in putting together a menu and working out all the logistics. On the evening of the dinner, her chef Anneleise was wonderful and a joy to have over. The meal was better than we ever could have imagined. I would definitely use this company again for any event or special occasion.”
