“I have been wanting to visit this restaurant for some time. After reading many reviews, my expectations were set high. I wouldn't say it's the best Indian restaurant in the DC Metro area, but it is definitely worth a visit. The venue is trendy, the food was fresh, and the employees I engaged with were friendly. “Best Chinese pickup/ delivery in the area and second to Peaking Gourmet overall. It’s not far so I prefer picking up, it always hot and fresh — never overly greasy or lacking flavor. The shrimp fried rice is one of my favorites and never suspicious like some places. It also comes with a super generous portion of shrimp. I’m so happy I found this place, won’t go anywhere else for American style Chinese takeout.”

“My first time here tonight. I've been looking for a "local" feeling (re: non-chain) after-work bar since I moved here. My first impression was great. The girls at the entrance greeted me with smiles and we're happy to point me to the bar. Both bartenders (Evie & George) greeted me and promptly took my drink orders. George was happy to recommend a dinner pick between my choices (the Steak and Cheese, minus lettuce, add mushrooms......would order again!)..... Staff were friendly and attentive, but not intrusive...a hard balance to acheive. But what struck me was that even on a Friday night, as the bartenders were balancing table-orders, bar-customers, etc.....any idle moment either of them had they spent with rag-in-hand cleaning something. And that, to me, is what separates a quality dive-bar from a sketchy bar you're scared of. Overall, after my first night here....I'm impressed and am looking forward to my second visit. I'd recommend it for a drink (I just had beer and a whiskey....but George was mixing cocktails with clean confidence for other patrons) or ..based on my one plate....a meal.”

“I used to love burger 7 but last night that love turned to something a lot less beautiful. I was very disappointed with the flavor and the size of the beef patty. I got 2 burgers that set me back 20$. I could have got 2 packed bowls from Chipotle next door. The only thing that it has left going for itself is that its halal. “Only been here a couple of times during weekdays in the late morning. That weird twilight time between breakfast and lunch. There were always lines but I would not call the place crowded. There was always a lot of empty tables - I assume most people are ordering to go. Also, being still kind of empty in the day, its pretty clean. The crew is bilingual and pretty quick. There were no mistakes with any of my orders. They have a few televisions on the walls with the volume set at a reasonable level but you can easily find a quiet spot to sit if you want. When I sat next to one it was showing a news channel so that was a change from all the sports channels most places have on their TVs. The food was okay for fast food. If you went to McDonald's for healthy food with no sugar, no salt, and low calories, well, you might want to go someplace else. Still, you could try one of the chicken or fish sandwiches. It is right next to the Alexandria Health Care Center. I go there for check ups and to have my blood checked. So I have to fast for 12 hours. Afterwards I need food and this place gives me what I need - calories, sugar, and protein. Also pretty close to the bus stops.”

Big kudos to Nolan, who ran the entire evening as bartender, host, sommelier, and waiter. His knowledge of the menu, cocktails, wine list, and easy table demeanor created a truly wonderful dining experience. Pace of dining was superb, dishes delicious, and the care shown in service and execution sublime. The chef even shared a recipe for a divine dressing, and sources of ingredients, much appreciated by our foodie group. Please do yourself a favor and make a reservation at The Reserve. “This place is the best. Not only everything is perfectly cooked and prepared, but every single ingredient is picked carefully. Everything is absolutely delicious, the food, the drinks even the honey is awesome. Their biscuits are also the best, perfect texture and taste and size of course. Even down to the orange slices. Even out of season each slice is tasty and juicy I have no idea how they find everything, it's almost annoyingly good since you have no idea where to find such good products elsewhere. The staff is super nice and friendly. The only negative I can think of is not having a second stomach to eat more.”
