“Super friendly staff, delicious lattes, and great little biscuit sandwiches! They have outdoor seating that is very dog friendly, and last time I was there with my pup they came out to refill the water bowl as soon as they saw him! It was really sweet that I didn’t even have to ask. Their seasonal lattes are absolutely top notch”

“This place is awesome! A little slow at times, so if you're wanting lunch at the typical lunch time, I would suggest getting there a little early. The super nachos and the quesadilla are both awesome!!! They'll pretty much put whatever in on their line in/on them as well. Want rice in your quesadilla? It's awesome! The purple pickled stuff? Put it in there because it's awesome too! I could go on and on... heck now I know where I'm going to lunch tomorrow.”

“The food was very good, but the service was poor. We waited a long time between sitting, getting drinks, ordering, and finally getting our food. Perhaps the service is better on weekdays.”

“I've been twice. First time was amazing with great food and service. Durban spiced chicken was phenomenal and Peri Peri sauce was delicious. Five Stars Second time was very mediocre. Apparently they introduced brunch recently and it was not goof, comparitvely. The "Corned Beef Hash" totally missed the mark. A "hash" should be (traditionally) meat and potatoes cooked together. This was potatoes spooned on a plate with huge inedible pieces of fatty brisket spooned beside it. I've had plenty of brisket before and this was not well prepared and only about 40% edible. One Star I'll go back someday, but not for brunch. Overall average of Three Stars.”

“Food was okay. Service was great though. Creme brulee was mixed too much, which broke the custard, and they used an artificial sweetener or something and that was off-putting, but they did a good job with the caramel on top. We had gotten a peach duck special. The duck should have been pan seared, but tasted and felt like it was broiled. I think they missed the mark there, because it left a thick layer of chewy duck skin, with rubbery meat under it. The peach sauce on top of it wasn't strong enough. I could see it, but I couldn't taste it. I also suggest adding a little spice to the peach sauce, because it was a little monotone. The sweet potato gnocchi and the sauteed greens were wonderful.”

“Really good burger. Staff helpful and respectful staff. Came around plenty of times fill drinks and ask how he could help. Didn't stay for the Friday night band. Was not a pricey burger (average price). Didn't care for the over done chips.”

“Put this one on your list. Hired a limo for a family wine tour of Virginia wines. One of the members of our party wanted to see the Charlottesville Mall, so we stopped. It was 99 degrees and another person in our party was 89 years old. Get her seated and in AC was all I could think. Across the street was a place with white linen table cloths. I was wearing a tie dye t-shirt. Oh no, I thought to myself. They are 4 forks; GREAT. The check in desk welcomed us, party of 7, no reservation. I recommend this place, you can expect: - Food done well, presented in kind. - Consummate service. - Calm, upscale atmosphere.”

“One of my favorite restaurants in Charlottesville. The food and drinks are always delicious. You can feel the bold ingredients and flavors they put into their food. I've been here multiple times and will be back many more! (Food can be a little spicy so spice naive eaters may want to choose something safer here)”

“Always much above average food with great local sources. Drinks and service are consistently outstanding. Go for the location and the staff. Not the best food in town, but likely better than most towns’ best. Charlottesville has 5 consistently great restaurants; this one is really close but not quite. Any of their fresh pasta things are good (kind of Alsatian though?!?) and the calamari is great. Salads are solid. Not good for vegetarians, the blue plate feels like an afterthought; move with the times.”

“The food was pretty good, but the wait was longer than I thought it should be and 2x as long as they told me. The ingredients are fresh and well prepared, and the flavours were well selected to complement each other. The wait for the food really does make me doubt if I'll go back though.”

“This place was incredible - the cocktails were very good, and they have an extensive whiskey list. But the food was fantastic. I had the fried green tomato sandwich, which had crispy pork belly and goat cheese. Best sandwich I've had in a very long time. Service was great and they had live music. Highly recommended.”

“Great restaurant on the downtown mall. Dinner is great but the best deal is their brunch. The brunch menu shares a few dishes with the dinner menu at a great price (10-15 per entree). Good service and drinks too.”

“I would leave a picture of the food but I ate it too fast. Some of the best ribs I've ever had, the best balance between fall off the bone and deliciously juicy, and sides are the perfect addition to go with the main dish. Definitely fed my body AND my soul.”

“Fresh off the grill burger. Really good. Fast service. Clean facility. Workers friendly and in clean uniforms. Appreciate the attention to detail and know how hard it is to hit on all cylinders but these guys do it consistently”

“I'm not an easy man to make full, but they succeeded in a very tasty fashion! We had to do a couple laps around downtown before we could continue the evening. Impressive. Good price, great food, good atmosphere, even in a thunder storm!”

“I love The Juice Laundry’s bowls and smoothies. Adding protein keeps me full longer. Their house made granola is delicious! My boys also love the CB&J smoothie and yummy brownies from the refrigerator case.”

“Although it is a deceptively small restaurant, that does not detract from how good it is. Their sushi is good but not superb, but the chicken curry is wonderful. And it's surprisingly cheap. Good place; would go again.”

“It was my first time visiting, and I really enjoyed my experience there. I got the lamb lunch platter which was fantastic. For lunch, it was also a good price. Worth the slightly longer walk if you work on the downtown mall.”

“Kardinal Hall hosted and catered a brunch after my daughter’s wedding. They did an outstanding job! Many people told us that the food was great and the service was excellent. The recommended chocolate chip cookies were a big hit. The venue was perfect! But it was the planning and oversight by Chrissy that made the whole package a success! Despite it being her day off, she was present for the party on Sunday and offered to spread a bucket of wildflowers that we had brought to the party. It’s these kinds of little things that make a big difference! Thanks!”

“I lived for four years in New York, and these bagels are better than 95% of the shops there. The one thing they lack is some of the variety you would find in other places, like a lack of any kind of egg bagel, and the only sweet bagel they have is cinnamon raisin. But I absolutely adore this place. Even when they are super busy the wait is seldom very long, the food is of great quality, and a great price. There is a reason that Bodo's has become a local icon, and I'll be going here for decades to come.”
