“Delicious authentic Italian Dishes. Owner was caring and interacted with customers. Creative cuisine, freshly made. Waitress Perla was wonderful. Other dishes at the table with friends were: Stromboli loaded with vegetables, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Salmon with Lump Crab. House wine was good, and table salad was better than most with a delicious house dressing. Atmosphere was more family oriented with close spacing between tables Not a quiet environment for conversation. The only complaint was it was a humid day and the inside was too hot. Open kitchen with handmade foods definitely heated the table areas up. Owner did check thermostat trying to help the situation. Food was very good.”

“I attended Ruby’s for the first time while vacationing in VA. The music was a mix between current pop music and throwbacks, which was nice hag it was a mix. I went with a group on a Friday night and it was super packed (especially the dance floor) with people from all races. I enjoyed seeing diversity. I was annoyed that there wasn’t much personal space and how this one guy kept following me all night but besides that our group had fun. The drinks compared to NY prices were inexpensive but not strong. I really liked their back patio set up, it was simply gorgeous with the lighting and decorations. It’s a shame I didn’t have enough time to dine in the back patio area but I would recommend others to check it out. My only other complaint is that the place closed really early, like at 1AM but I was told that’s how it is in VA (not use to places closing so early).”

“Great burger joint in Harrisonburg and worth the stop. Tried the Popeye burger, which was the daily special, included spinach and artichoke dip. Something I would never have considered, but so happy I did. They brought a special sauce which was perfect for the burger and also on the fries. Not sure what it was but you have to try it. Numerous people in town mentioned there burgers and I will be one also as I am in the area.”

“Excellent food, service a bit off. Ordered 2 mango juice and 1 orange juice, received 2 orange and 1 mango. Pointed out to server who eventually took one of the orange juices away. Never came back to let us know that they were now out of mango juice. Eventually was able to order different drinks. The server was hard to understand and 1 ordered 2 beers, was charged for 1. Paid bill and then as I was walking out, mumbled something about accidentally not charging for 2 beers. Food gets a 5, service a 3 so an average of 4 stars. Food was excellent however.”

“I got the Lil Gus Burger, fries, and a can of root beer. It was delicious! So the Lil Gus Burger has mushrooms, pepper jack cheese, bacon, and BBQ sauce on it. It was huge despite the name and very filling. I don't think I've ever been asked how I want my burger cooked before. I chose medium well since that's usually my favorite when it comes to steak. The fries were really well seasoned too. The atmosphere was nice. It has a classic old-fashioned diner type of decor. This place gets a lot of regular customers and I could hear my server making idle conversation with people. It felt very personal. She made sure to check on me a few times. Overall I was very impressed and happy with what I got. I would seriously recommend eating here at least once.”

“Nice restaurant with a huge selection of beers on tap all the time. I would definitely recommend you go there just to try a beer you haven't had before. On top of that, the food is great and staff has always been helpful. I haven't had to wait more than 15 minutes for a table, and once seated we get greeted very promptly by our server. Every server we've had has been knowledgeable and able to answer questions quickly. Overall, the restaurant has been very clean every time I've been there.”
