“I'll start off by saying the coffee drink was spectacular. If that was all I got, it would be five stars. I got the bacon and eggs with toast, and tried to get a half portion of oatmeal for my toddler. The food was decent, but the bacon was really greasy. I was also told that they couldn't adjust pricing for a half portion of oatmeal, but they could give me a half bowl at the full price. Really? So I got the full bowl and wasted what we couldn't finish. With the touch screen technology and experience as a server, I find it hard to believe you couldn't just tap an item and mark it half off. There's a way if you really want. I might go back for coffee, but not the food. UPDATE: Brooke, the GM, communicated directly with me after our experience in hopes of earning our business again. “Great time all around, our group of two couples started with a drink from the bar and then we were seated and treated to a couple of appetizers which were delicious, the Chevre Toast was the highlight for me. “I went there yesterday because it was close and it came recommended. I was just there to get some snacks and maybe a cold sandwich. To my surprise I walked in and it was very bright and clean. The owners were very friendly. They have a large menu on display with multiple options for food cooked to order. I ended up getting the snacks and ordering cheese steaks and fries. It was delicious. I've ordered multiple cheese steaks from many places from the area and have only found a couple that I like. I would rate theirs above all of them. The caveat is that their prices were too high. Costs vary slightly from one corner store to another, but generally most are in the same ballpark. I spent probably $5 more at JK than what I expected. That said, no other place is as clean and bright. Plus my food was better than what I've ordered from restaurants so it's worth it. Overall I had a good experience there and I will be back.”
