“This place is INCREDIBLE!!!! What a hidden gem downtown. My wife kept telling me about the place and its $7 lunch specials. Chicken is a daily regular plus another option. Today I had the chicken and it was quite possibly the best season chicken I've ever had...and on my quest to lose weight, chicken is my favorite go to meat. It also included a salad as well as...broken record...the best chicken noodle soup ever!!! Absolutely without a doubt you must try this place for lunch or dinner. You won't find a better lunch for $7 anywhere in Roanoke. Enjoy!!!”

“Quaint and clean low-key restaurant. Good food. Nothing like my poor, Americanized taste buds have experienced. Not for everyone because of the ethnic taste, but it hit just the right spot for me. A small menu, but just enough. Friendly staff. I will be back.”

“A nice variety of cuisine. Chicken, pork, fish, salads, sandwiches, in-season veggies, pizza, calzones, and more. This is casual dining in a laid-back, enjoyable atmosphere. There is also a bar. Lunch prices are reasonable (around $8 to $16) as the portions are large. We needed a take-home box. (some things you get individual servings/sides for $3 to $4, such as the delicious sweet potato tots for $4). I visited with my mother and my aunt who are over 80. There is a ramp and it is handicap accessible from the parking lot to the dining tables. If the weather is pleasant, you may eat outside on the deck.”

“What a wonderful addition Bloom is to the Roanoke area! It truly is a food experience. The concept of small plates to try is really fun. The flavors were excellent and each item was art on a plate! The staff was very attentive and super helpful with making selections and explaining the food. Would definitely recommend if you want to try something new.”

“One of my favorite eateries in Roanoke! Good food and great beer selection. This place is perfect for a bite after rock climbing next door or for a drink after work. If the weather is nice I recommend eating outside, but if its chilly they provide blankets and heaters. Friendly staff and fun events (trivia) are a plus as well.”

“Everything is great regarding their smoothies and food. However, I feel the food is a tad on the higher side for price. It's kinda like Panera: good food; smaller portions than you want for what you paid. Still a quality experience, though.”

“We had a great experience with Octavio as our waiter. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the menus - food and drink - and made great recommendations for us. The food was great. Our table got the crab cakes, miso salmon, halibut special, and prime rib. All of it was amazing and everyone was more than happy with their meals! Thanks to Octavio for taking exceptional care of us. He made a great experience even better. I’d highly recommend requesting him if you’re able to!”

“The reason this place is located in the art museum is because their food & smoothies are true works of Art to the tastebuds! **The "Bikini Bottom" is a Real Pineapple & pineapple juice blended smoothie that is "the BEST I have EVER HAD!!" The Grilled Ham & Cheese also Incredible! I can't wait to go back there! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED”

“Great lunch buffet in a swank historic hotel that is beautifully preserved. Great way to see this historic beauty. The price was good value too at $18 per person. The Regency Room was also handicap accessible by an elevator and also a nice ramp off the lobby. The wait staff was very attentive too. The selection of the buffet the day we were there included a wonderful salmon, sliders, chicken and amazing desserts!”

“The food was fresh & awesome & the atmosphere relaxed. Definitely not ur cookie-cutter Mexican restaurant that u see on almost every street corner. This is for sure my "go to" Mexican restaurant when I don't want to make it at home.”

“If you like Thai, this is the place to go in Roanoke!!! I've been to lots of Thai restaurants and this is one of the best I have ever been to. Went for lunch and had the lunch Pad Se Eww with beef (hot spice level) and it was terrific!! The spice level was just right, plenty of beef, broccoli, etc....you got a lunch salad (similar to a ginger dressing salad at a sushi place) and it was less than $10. The service was excellent, filling up my water multiple times, and very friendly staff! It also appears they have a nice size bar, outdoor seating, etc. I'm definitely coming back!”

“This place is amazing. Hot and fresh every time; great options and ingredients make this somewhere to return time and time again. Can be a little bit of a wait, but definitely worth it. The general manager is friendly and checking on everyone each time I've been. Superb service and excellent food. Couldn't be happier.”

“First time having Afghan cuisine. I loved the food and the service was so good. Loved the attention to detail shown while we were there. I really wish I lived closer to make me a regular customer. Please check put this place if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed at all.”

“Has to be the friendliest service around. So hospitable and all smiles. Just passing through town and stopped here for lunch. They offered a buffet and I had 2 plates worth of sampling...it was all super tasty! Very approachable and highly recommended.”

“A great time.. couldn’t have been a more welcoming staff and crowd! Plus I don’t think they expected me to break out Mobb Deep “Drop a gem on em” on karaoke night. Can’t wait to come back!”

“I got a to go order. The wait for it was a perfect amount of time to have a drink. The food was delicious. I did ask for no cheese and there was cheese, but it was mozzarella and pealed off cleanly so that wasn't any trouble. If I had a more serious dairy allergy it might have been different. The staff was very busy during my trip, but still made themselves available and we're friendly.”

“Great atmosphere for younger people. Food was great but if your a big eater then order more than one taco because the portions are medium sized. If your hard of hearing I would not recommend this location as the atmosphere is very lively with music and conversations. If your a site seeker, there are remnants of a steam engine across the street and the active railyard.”

“Price was good. Service friendly. Food wasn't seasoned enough for my liking, but still very tasty.”
