“I just finished with my first visit to this place. Several items purchased and $70 later, this is my review. The store was extremely clean. The staff greeted me warmly as soon as I walked thru the door. They had several hard-to-find items that I am happy to add to my pantry. Additionally, the meat is fresh, as is the delicious looking desserts like the Baklava I bought. Lastly, I received a free dessert upon leaving. I highly recommend this place. Do yourself a favor, and check it out!”

“Great little bistro in downtown Roanoke. There is a soothing ambiance and the food is wonderful. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very good crusty breads. The chocolate croissant and sticky buns are amazing. I really love some of the heartier breakfast/brunch dishes like the chorizo and eggs with a baguette, as well as the bacon salad. Coffee is not bad either. All around yummy and charming!”

However, at this 711, both the Coke and cherry flavor slurpees are always working, which is the most important aspect for me. They also have gas pumps. And there is a Redbox, so there's that.”

It had a hint of a kick to it that I really like combined with the other flavors in the soup. I did the choose two and ordered a customized tuna fish sandwich on a croissant along with the soup. Their tuna fish is made just the way I prefer it-mainly tuna without any large, chunky pieces of onions and etc. mixed in.”

“This is good news for people who have gluten intolerance. On my first visit, I asked them if they had a list and they pulled it from a binder and let me look at it. I was surprised there were several items to choose from. This made me very happy, as I love Ben & Jerry's ice cream. When I asked for a milkshake, they asked me if I wanted it with almond milk. This is great. I definitely recommend anyone with food allergies to stop by and try there gluten free ice cream.”

I had some chocolate chip pancakes which were okay, my Companion had combo #3 eggs, 3 sausages patties, hash browns and toasts which were okay too. The service was not good, the waitress in our section deliberately ignore us all the time , she would serve the near tables and just pass by our table. I think the owner took care of us, and because of This I am giving 3 stars otherwise I would give -1 if I could. Do it to me, not to a veteran who served this country .”

“We FINALLY got a chance to stop by this wonderful bakery in Roanoke. We visited the downtown location at about 11:30 am and while we were gawking at all the food options, several people walked in behind us and lined up to be served. So... this place is pretty popular, even though it is relatively small and tucked away in the city market area of downtown. That let us know right away that the food here must be great. The atmosphere is lovely and cozy. The people are kind and helpful and the food we saw looked amazing. We took some treats to go for later in the day and were not disappointed. The lunch options include cold and hot sandwiches, soup and pizza - with many bakery items for sale. We got the feeling that they make a limited amount every day and when it's gone... it's gone. So if you find a favorite item, stop by early to grab it or you might be out of luck. Everything we had was fresh and prepared very well. It's hard to find a really good local bakery that knows their stuff. Stop by and support this business. Your tongue will thank you!”
