“I work in the shopping center and was invited for a test day a couple days before grand opening. The food was very fresh and delicious and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I will definitely be returning soon! Keep up the good work!”

“Ramen Talk is in an abandoned Applebee's location. No matter what the rest of this review states, this situation is still better than the previous. The tea - unsweetened - was very weak and could have used longer to steep. The Thai tea, even without ice, was watery. Obviously spoiled by another restaurant where they make it strong. Okonomiyaki is not for me, but this I suspected from my experience with takoyaki. The pork bun was . . . small. The Ramen was really good! Avocado salad is a thing that happened. It's just sliced avocado on top of iceberg lettuce, sesame seeds on top, side of carrot ginger dressing. For some reason, this has become a menu item around here.”

“We dined here on Friday, August 12, 2022, for dinner. Which was excellent. This area is a good one for camarones, locally known as shrimp, and the menu at Seven Seas really does offer a wide variety of seafood dishes in addition to pages of more conventional Mexican dishes. Service was skillful and rapid, although we arrived in the middle of Friday Happy Hour and expected to have to wait. Sheila and I enjoyed the Presidential Margaritas while waiting a short time for the dinners. 7 Mares is not so flamboyant as most of the other Mexican Restaurants on the Peninsula, and in fact the low-key black and grey decor is quite refreshing: it is not a large restaurant, and it is not a boisterous restaurant, seemingly aimed at an older population—which of course Willamsburg can supply. On Friday evening, the food was elegantly plated and served. Portions are generous, and meats and vegetables seem very fresh indeed. The only thing on our plates that seemed a little plaintive was the Spanish Rice, but that is an item often abused everywhere. I returned alone on Tuesday evening, August 16, 2022, hoping I could duplicate the experience I had the previous Friday. I can only suppose there was a different chef—the meal was certainly satisfying, but the plating was careless and the flair was missing. Service was still excellent, but I was glad that I had brought the family on Friday! We will return to 7 Mares, often, I am sure; and we will recommend it to others, as it has a solid and extensive menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and it has its own bar menu which seems very competently executed and reasonably priced. It is certainly quieter than average even when it is packed, and it is fully staffed with experienced waiters. I wish them well!”

“I drove up to the place & saw that they have outdoor seating & thought wow! When walking in, the place & the people that work there are wonderful. I love the vibe & atmosphere. They have a great menu & I thoroughly enjoyed my sub. I definitely will come back & recommend this place! Walking out I also noticed an Ice cream shop called The Big Scoop near them! Yes that's going to be my dessert next time!😉”

“I have had one good experience here and one not so good! First time was great! Eggnog was super tasty! Waiter was very attentive. Second time I came we were sat in the basement, totally fine. Watched two other tables get sat downstairs as well. It was 20-30 minutes before a server ever came to our table while the other tables were served before us even though we had been waiting for awhile first. No harm done as they comped an appetizer to us. Just could have gone over better!”

“The food tasted great! The staff was very pleasant. I would go back but I have to know if they have MSG in their food. As soon as I started eating both my daughter and I got headaches. I’m willing to try again though!!”

“We walked in right before closing and were greeted by happy faces, that was nice. Food was amazing. The options are great for whatever you want. Even the sides that we had were good. Everyone was very nice and welcoming as well. Table was checked twice. Will definitely be back to try some other meats with some more brisket.”

“Roxana took very good care of us on the evening of July 7th. Roxana served SIX adults and ONE 5 year old as we celebrated Daughter Megan's birthday at your York Street location. The food was amazing: hot, fresh and delicious! Roxana was OUTSTANDING: personable, courteous, professional AND very knowledgeable of the menu. Thank you very much Roxana! We will return very soon!”

“Love the variety in bubble tea! I'm glad Williamsburg finally has a good bubble tea place. I noticed that they have waffles and ice cream and other items as well, so I went back and tried their waffles too and they were AMAZING. They let you sample the bubble tea toppings and ice cream as well, which was very nice of them. Friendly staff, and they are willing to help you out with any questions you have. Highly recommend!!”

“I love this fun little slice of Italy in Williamsburg! Their cappuccinos are the best around. You don't need to add any sugar, which is a true sign of an excellently balanced cappuccino in my book. Illy coffee is wonderful in that it is not bitter like many American coffees. I will definitely be a regular visitor here.”

“I am always pro-more Thai places in town! Picked up food to go near the beginning of quarantine, and it was quick and delicious. I always get cashew chicken stir fry, which is my favorite dish but lets me compare restaurants. Lanna Thai was equal or better to every other place in town I've had. The women at the front were friendly and I didn't have to wait around. Will definitely be ordering more and stopping in for a sit-down meal once we can socialize again!”

“Excellent food. Calamari was amazing and fresh. Scallops were good. Some of the fried seafood was more of a breaded and pan-fried, not deep fried, but still great. Broiled seafood was wonderful and fresh. There's also a small selection of kids' items and a full bar. Reasonable portions, but not as large as we thought. Waitress was kinda strange, quirky, and talkative, but good with the service. Not very crowded. Extremely nice atmosphere with table cloths, chandeliers, water glasses, etc. We would eat there again.”

“For some reason my review disappeared (not just here, lost about 4 of them). I love tacos, a lot! This place has really good tacos, especially the variety. I have sampled 6 of them so far and they were all delicious. The hall in general is unique. Especially the way you order food and they track the order with your phone. Even the payment method is streamlined. Old school video games in the back and a nice touch for 30+ crowd that would have played them as a kid. Will be back for sure.”

“It’s about time a rock solid brewery descended on the ‘burg. Dank IPAs, sours and much more. The staff are really cool and knowledgeable. Wide open space inside and brick patio with a gas fire pit outside make this brewery very comfortable. The brewer(s) know their craft. Kind of reminds me a little of The Veil a few miles east of Richmond.”
