“It’s tough to find places that do breakfast and coffee properly. I can confirm this location does! The coffee was really great, I got a mocha and was impressed. The food was amazing. I’ve never thought of putting eggs Benedict over hash browns and I probably am going to do that soon. The salad was great too. Staff was friendly. I likely will return here! Oh and the cookies are very good! Half price cookies on Tuesdays ????????”

“Pricey but worth every penny. Best bakery in the neighborhood!! And good on the environment as well. Super local community, friendly service, the freshest of bread!”

“More of a cafe than a bakery, but awesome none-the-less. I love their Como loaf, it’s almost buttery in taste like a Sourdough. They have a bunch of seats, but people tend to stay a while. Is a little pricey, but that’s a fresh food restaurant in Seattle for ya.”

“This is a fantastic place to get tea/lattes, tea accessories or loose leaf! They have one of the best selections of both traditional teas and unique blends I've found in Seattle or Portland. Also, their food and pastries are similarly top-notch; even if you're not a big tea person, I'm sure you'll enjoy a nice bite!”

“Not quite what I was expecting.. it's essentially a small open kitchen bakery in the basement of a restaurant on Market St. The cashier was friendly and seemed aware the location was strange. I ordered the White Chocolate Guava Cheesecake and the Ube Cookie. The cheesecake was rich (5/5). The cookie was good too (4/5). I would go here again.”

“Coffee and food is great. Their savory waffles are to die for. After going once I went three more times within two weeks. Definitely plan to go again soon. They have some board games available, but all but the chess set are missing pieces. But still a good place to sit and eat and have a quiet conversation.”

“Yes! Authentic Japanese. I’m worried this review will make it impossible to eat here again, but it was really nice. Of course not like japan, but still of the sushi places in Seattle this was affordable and good! Sushi rice was very well done and the cuts were generous, but not repulsive. We will be back again. Gochisosamadeshita!”

“Great tea and coffee. Fabulous baked goods. I had a mini quiche which was also delectable. I love that you can get a pot of tea to sit and enjoy it. We stayed there until closing, and got a happy hour treat of reduced prices just before closing.”

“BEST HAPPY HOUR!!!! We LOVE this place and have put this place permanently on our happy hour rotation. It's impossible for us to make it on the weekday so we take advantage of the weekend happy hour. Be warned that this place is always crowded and for good reason! Happy hour goes from 3-6pm then 9pm to close. They have a 5 dollar food menu! The first time we went, we thought these would be small bites and weren't that hungry so ordered 3 dishes for the two of us and asked the server "is this enough food?" To which he gave us a puzzled look and said yes unless you are expecting more people. Let me tell you that each dish was the size of a full meal and we couldn't finish everything despite our best efforts. And the food is good! My favorite dishes are the Sopitos and Torta! The drinks are a few bucks off as well and let me tell you - the margarita is STRONG! If you want a fun delicious cheap meal, COME HERE!”

“One of my favorite cafes in Seattle! You do not need to be a vegetarian/vegan to love the food here-- it's all amazing! I always get the Hippie bowl whenever I go and it does not disappoint!”

“The ambience is calm. So a good place to sit, and study/work. Didn't like the coffee though. The latte was not creamy enough...felt a bit watery. Maybe I should have tried some Turkish drink? P.S. The place is right opposite a bus stop (route number 1). P.S. When I went (early 2020), Yelp app gets you a 1$ discount on coffee here.”

“Cute and casual place to get breakfast, lunch or coffee. Very friendly staff and delicious food! Their clam chowder is excellent, as well as their sandwiches. I had their chai and it was very good! Nice and frothy on the top, perfect drinking temperature and amazing flavor! I recommend everyone to come here.”

“Nuflours has amazing baked goods – it's they rare gem of a bakery where you don't tell people it is gluten free and they won't know. Beyond this, today I discovered their wonderful customer service. While interactions have always been pleasant, today when I needed to order a cake they were beyond helpful. Rachel took my call, followed up by email, and made sure I had what I needed, even though my order was last minute. She gave me options that they could work with and made the whole experience fantastic. I love supporting this small business.”

“This place is now under new ownership. Now named "Love & Flour". most elements are the same. Essential Bakery bread is still available but they have stocked the RTE case with delicious deli salads. The vibe is better you can feel the difference. I look forward to discovering more. 2/29/20”

“I had somebody tell me that her mother was French and many bakeries don't take the time to make croissants properly (2 days). She recommended this bakery highly and a croissant with a foamy cappuccino. I ordered the plain croissant and savory pastry and drip coffee. They were so good that when the waiter said his go to was the cappuccino and chocolate croissant.....I had that for dessert. Excellent! Delicious. Worth it. :-)”

“Vanessa and her staff here at Unwind Cafe are absolutely amazing! This is by far my favorite place to drop into when I’m on Alki w my dog. They’re dog friendly too w awesome treats. They would make me celery juice when I was on a cleanse, their bagel sandwiches and all juices and smoothies are so delicious. I also love that they use all organic fruits and veggies.”

“Stopped in for a coffee while visiting Seattle. Placed an order for a 'shot in the dark' I believe it was called. The place was pretty busy with a standing wait. After about 5 minutes I got my coffee and was very pleased! Will definitely revisit for the coffee when back in the area.”

“Had an excellent cup of coffee here while I was in Washington last week. Cute store set up. Nice vibe inside. Great choices. Decaf was delicious! Alt milk choices aplenty. Would definitely recommend this coffee shop!”

“This is my go-to spot when guests come to the area and we need late night food. Ba Bar is great any time, but unbeatable after 10p. The menu is delicious and there's something for everyone. The ingredients are well-sourced; I'm especially grateful for the ethical meat sourcing. The beer and cocktail menu is also good, they make a mean Moscow Mule and have some lovely inventions. Service can be slow on rare occasions, and I've had less success ordering standard cocktails, I suggest sticking to the awesome ones on their menu.”

“Menchie's Frozen Yogurt is one my most favorite dessert spots ever. I am a big fan of their ice cream and ice cream sandwiches. From sandwiches their red velvet and coffee are my favorite. With ice cream, it depends on my mood most of the time. In all honesty, every flavor is worth trying. It is a bit pricey so I recommend coming here every once in a while if you're in the area.”

“Great variety of donuts but in this area of town it's not comfortable. Service was great. At 10 in the morning it wasn't too bad but there were still a lot of homeless hanging out. Since we had walked from T-Mobile Park, we were around some people doing drugs and others just drifting around. The special spring donuts were fun. I didn't know they had them.”

“There's a reason this place is always busy and nearly only sells bagels! The bagels alone are amazing-Even the gluten free are better than other gluten free bagels. The sandwiches with said bagels are also perfect. This establishment really took their thing and excelled at it. I've also always had a good experience with the employees.”

“Tasty, hi-end bakery with delicious espresso. Super friendly staff. I've had there pastries and bread many times over there's and have never been disappointed. As they've grown over many years, they've maintained consistent quality. This time I had the Budapest Coffee Cake and it was tasty and satisfying.”

“Want to chill and relax away from the crowds in downtown Seattle? Then head down to ELSOM Cellars in SODO on 4th ave! Jody, one of the few woman wine makers in WA, offers a bold line of fruit forward reds and recently came out with her Malbec port style dessert wine!! and one of the few places in Seattle that stock our chocolate discs! ;)”

“My partner and I absolutely love this place! Friendly staff and quick service. All of the locations have a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. We try to make it for either the lunch special or happy hour (4:00-6:00) for drinks and pizza. The gluten free crust option is the best I've even had!”
