“First time here and I was amazed how nice this spot is. The restaurant is beautiful and clean. Very easy to order with a big menu and an electronic form to order which made it very easy and convenient. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I learned they’re the same owners as sizzle and crunch! Anyways the food was amazing, great portion sizes and flavor. Loved the salad and the sauces that came with my meal. My only critique is I wish the meats were juicier as they were on the drier side of things but nevertheless it was an amazing meal!”

“I just moved to Seattle from Atlanta. The team at the 1st Ave. Starbucks has helped make my transition even better. They treat me like a friend, like a part of the family. I appreciate them greatly. They’re really great at what they do. Stop in and visit them. Tell them, Ashley says hello.”

“I love The Spot! It’s the cutest, coziest, friendliest little restaurant/bar. All of their food is great. They have espresso and make great lattes, their waffles are amazing, as is all of their dinner. The staff are warm and welcoming. They have seats by a fire both indoors and outdoors. They make great cocktails. Definitely give this place a try!!”

“Nice, clean diner. My daughter and I ate breakfast there, and it was quite good. The French toast was delicious, with cinnamon and vanilla. The hash browns were crisp, and the coffee was excellent. The service was leasurely -- not a place for a fast meal, but good for a relaxed one.”

“This is the best place for pancakes, egg dishes, salads, etc.; all in a charming neighborhood. Excellent food and the staff really care about keeping people safe. Staff were very polite and respectful about asking for and checking our vaccination proof. Thank you for helping to keep everyone safe.”

“Delicous! We've tried items off both their gluten-free and regular menus and have been pleased with everything. The gluten free popcorn chicken and gluten-free spicy chicken sandwich are my favorites (the sandwich is large so make sure you're hungry). My daughters loved the scallion sesame noodles. It's one of the few things on their regular menu that isn't also on there gluten-free menu. I'm hoping they make a gluten-free version in the future because it smells amazing. We love that we can get fries with our meal too. Hangry Panda is one of our comfort restaurants when we've had a rough day. Editing to add that Hangry Panda is still a top favorite of ours a year later. They're so good and quick!”

“Cute little drive through that has more to offer than you think. Not just a drive through and not just smoothies, they have a full bar, a fire pit, free parking, a food menu, and they serve alcohol. Drinks are great and the service is super friendly. Definitely worth a drop in”

“One of my favorite coffee places in Seattle. My only wish is that they would have more comfortable chairs but then again people would not leave. Came in today and there were maybe 12 flies flying around so they should do something about that.”

“Wonderful bar. They have really unique cocktails and menu. You can tell that thought, care, and little bit of experimenting, is behind your every item. The staff were wonderful and friendly. The bartender we had was amazing even on a busy night like new years eve took the time to craft every drink with care and pride. 10/10 can't wait to bring people to this place next time we are in the Ballard area.”

“The food, Fresh and full of flavor. The deep fried crab with curry sauce was a highlight, a visual centerpiece to a spectacle of a meal. They were so inviting and hospitable. Made us all feel like members of their family.”

“Let's start with the good, I enjoyed my Tuna melt. It had a great taste to it and all in all was a solid showing. Not overly toasted, tuna tasted great, and whatever they did to give the melt some flavor was fine by me. The cost is for me one of the negatives. The melt was a bit on the pricey side (roughly $18). Another negative was overall portions for what the table ordered just felt small. The mac and cheese is just overpriced for how small it is, I feel I need to call that out. The mac and cheese is not a shareable and it wasn't ordered to be one either, it's just way too small even for one person is what I'm saying. Lots of game options and the servers were nice, no complaints there. My iced tea never got a refill and unfortunately they weren't good about getting water. But hey, that's how it goes sometimes, overall they were people just doing their best. Overall it's a nice place for some games and I'd give it another go. Just wouldn't go there hungry is all. Check it out if you're in the area!”

“Place is so damn good. Ask for 5 star spicy, it’s funny because they ask if you’re sure. I believe they make their spicy sauce by hand. The staff are realy nice and friendly. Customer service is great please thank place to eat or grab food to go”

“This new bakery/cafe is amazing! I’ve been here 4 times in the last month. The pricing is affordable (~$11 for a toast or sandwich) and they always seem to have new savory, sweet and gluten free baked goods to try. There’s easy street parking available out front and it’s walking distance to other bars and restaurants in Uptown.”

“Really adorable place. We stopped by for dessert and found these adorable bull dog chocolate & cheesecake mousse. They are delicious and a little hard to eat the face since it's so cute! The staff were nice and polite. I thought the peanut butter blended drink I got was ok - I was not very impressed with it as I was hoping for something that tastes similar to a peanut milkshake. But then again it is listed in the "health and beauty" category, so maybe I did it to myself 😅 Would definitely be open to trying other things on their menu.”

“Very good tapioca! Flavors are creative. Egg tarts is so soft and flavorful. Their classic milk tea has a stronger tea flavor compared to other boba places which is very nice.”

“Tasty and comforting Korean food. My favorites are the rose katsu bowl and spicy pork bowl. They are filling and very delicious. One time I got the rose tteobokki which was good but the portion was rather small, so I don't think that was worth. Overall would recommend!”

“Nice, quick service. Cute place. Easily was one of the best coffees I've ever had. I ordered an iced lavender oat milk latte which is my regular order at most places, but this one tasted much better than all the others I've had. My friend that accompanied me, that had a different coffee drink, also agreed one of the best coffees he's had in Seattle. I'd definitely go back! Also one of the few places open early on a Sunday morning in that part of U District/ the "Ave".”

“I love the Kitanda bread and always stop in when I’m visiting Seattle. And now it’s even easier with the new Link stations. I’m not gluten free, but when I go with friends that are I always suggest here! Sit in the window and people watch.”

“Went to Portage Bay Cafe for the first time for breakfast. We got there around 8:45 am and it got busy immediately after. I would recommend that you make a reservation ahead of time as this place seems to be popular on weekends. The food was good and the portions were plenty. They have heating and blankets for outdoor seating. Service was great and the place was clean. Overall a pleasant experience!”

“Despite being named the Pineapple Cafe I was disappointed to find a lack of pineapple options. Although names aren't always indicative of what's the the restaurant, this one was especially heart breaking for someone who is a fan of pineapple. Otherwise a nice, cozy cafe to compliment a hotel. Maybe a good place go grab a quick breakfast of lunch but a bad place to find pineapple.”

“Enjoyed a soy latte here today. It was scalding hot but average in taste. Super friendly barista. Lots of space inside to sit. All the desserts looked delicious so I may return to try one!”

“Best cup of drip I’ve had in the city. Really reasonably priced burritos given they’re heaping with meat. Get the sausage one. Staff is super conversational and friendly. Killer spot.”
