Green Leaf Vietnamese Restaurant

Address: 418 8th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98104, USA

“Secretly, Green Leaf serves the best Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai in West Seattle! Kill three birds with one stone. Not all heroes wear capes. But this restaurant may own one for all I know. 🤷‍♂️”

Phnom Penh Noodle House

Address: 913 S Jackson St suite A, Seattle, WA 98104, USA

Restaurant

“Great service and cheap but delicious food! Never disappointed here. Favorite place in Chinatown/International District. The pad thai is always good, but also try the Chinese/Cambodian cuisine. Free hot tea. Update: still delicious and still one of my favorites in the CID. Check out their new location!”

Lan Huê Sandwich and Bakery

Address: 900 S Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104, USA

Restaurant

“I was exploring the Vietnamese center when I found this family owned sandwich place. I loved that all the ingredients were showcased behind glass so you can see and choose which ingredient you want. I got the special combination because the meat looked so good. She knew I wasn't going to eat it until the next day so she putted the veggie separately from the sandwich so it doesn't get soggy. It was one of the best Vietnamese sandwich I have ever had--very authentic, well flavored, and hugh portion. I highly recommend this place.”

Joyale Seafood Restaurant

Address: 900 S Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104, USA

Restaurant

“My favorite place in the ID for dim sum. Similar quality to the more-famous Jade Garden (some things are a bit better, some are a bit worse). But *much better* seating capacity. Huge dining areas (plural) means there's almost never a wait and there's free on-site parking! Update: After enjoying many dim sum meals, we went for dinner and enjoyed it, although we both agree we prefer dim sum. We had: 1) Broccoli with garlic sauce (good- flavorful and good texture) 2) Combination egg foo young (very good- nicely crisp, flavorful, and good sauce) 3) Egg swirl soup w/ beef (decent, but a bit bland. Adding soy sauce and chili oil helped) 4) Pan-fried pork with XO sauce (very good flavor with nice veggies, but it was actually fatty pork belly- would ask for lean pork or maybe chicken next time.)”

Sheng Yan Restaurant

Address: 900 S Jackson St #208, Seattle, WA 98104, USA

Restaurant

“I normally don't give fives out in reviews:. Nobody's perfect. But I want folks to see this. My partner and I were the only white faces in the place. Everyone else (and I do mean everyone) was eating a grilled dish from a brazier on their table. We ordered Kung Pao chicken, twice cooked pork, a salty and sour potato dish, and an eggplant dish. Forget the kung Pao chicken. It's there for the tourists. The rest of the meal was a great display of flavor and texture. The potatoes were crunchy. A little sour and a little hot. The eggplant was sweet with a luscious texture and heat. The twice cooked pork was numbingly hot and rich. Give this place a try if your willing to be adventurous. My partner and I plan to go back for a grilled fish.”

Little Chinook’s

Address: 3919 18th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, USA

“Fantastic salmon and chips. The batter was light and tasty, didn't just fall off. The salmon was great. Even the fries and slaw made me happy. There is seating inside and outside so you can come and enjoy hanging out at the docks. Loved it!”

Mox Boarding House

Address: 5105 Leary Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Let's start with the good, I enjoyed my Tuna melt. It had a great taste to it and all in all was a solid showing. Not overly toasted, tuna tasted great, and whatever they did to give the melt some flavor was fine by me. The cost is for me one of the negatives. The melt was a bit on the pricey side (roughly $18). Another negative was overall portions for what the table ordered just felt small. The mac and cheese is just overpriced for how small it is, I feel I need to call that out. The mac and cheese is not a shareable and it wasn't ordered to be one either, it's just way too small even for one person is what I'm saying. Lots of game options and the servers were nice, no complaints there. My iced tea never got a refill and unfortunately they weren't good about getting water. But hey, that's how it goes sometimes, overall they were people just doing their best. Overall it's a nice place for some games and I'd give it another go. Just wouldn't go there hungry is all. Check it out if you're in the area!”

Bake Shop

Restaurant Bakery Cafe

“This new bakery/cafe is amazing! I’ve been here 4 times in the last month. The pricing is affordable (~$11 for a toast or sandwich) and they always seem to have new savory, sweet and gluten free baked goods to try. There’s easy street parking available out front and it’s walking distance to other bars and restaurants in Uptown.”

MeDor

Address: 3131 Western Ave #301, Seattle, WA 98121, USA

“Friendly service. Good clean flavors and portion sizes without too much over-indulgent additives. We enjoyed several appetizer sized dishes that was more than enough food for two people. They also offer Romanian and other wines and spirits with a separate bar seating area. Full bar!”

Pub 70

Address: 2801 Alaskan Way, Seattle, WA 98121, USA

Restaurant

“The food is always good! This is my 2nd time there & I love the food! We arrived at happy hour & I remembered these from my 1st visit. We also ordered the garlic fries & those are one of the best in town. The kale salad both visits were refreshing. Lastly we ordered the nachos & added some pork on top which made all of this meals, we came in only for a snack, the server did an excellent job up selling! If you are in town try this place out, it never disappoints & always has seats!”

Capsule Cafe

Address: 4507 The Ave, Seattle, WA 98105, USA

Restaurant

“'Tis a quaint little lovely shop, Tucked away in the U-District mob. Tho there ain't much in the look, Once you try it you can't stop. I've been to this restaurant a few times, and here are my two cents: Pros: 1.) It tastes great and authentic. 2.) the food is prepared and presented with mindfulness one can appreciate. 3.) The raw ingredients are displayed in orderly and clean arrangements, without being in-your-face with bulk. I believe the idea is to maintain freshness with on-demand replenishment. 4.) There's a simple elegance in the interior decor. I think everyone can acknowledge the tidiness of this place. 5.) Some very good selection of fried finger foods, and the braised pork on rice is always a good choice. Cons: 1.) Short working hours due to staffing issues. 2.) One would certainly hope for a greater variety of raw ingredients, but I think that's mainly due to the pervasive supply chain woes. 3.) Not the most eye-catching establishment from the outside, and even when you look through the front window there's an obnoxious wall covering half of the vantage. 4.) The raw ingredients could use some more exaggerated/appetizing labels. Overall: it's a gem once you give it a try.”

Tasty Pot

Address: 4509 University Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105, USA

Restaurant

“Those who eat a lot of hotpot will inevitably compare this place with Boiling Point. Here I will try to give an honest comparison between the two. We ordered seafood lobster hotpot, and Taiwanese style stinky tofu hotpot. The flavors are good, but the portion of meat is rather small. When compared to Boiling Point, Tasty Pot give you less meat, despite being more expensive. Both places offer a decent selection of flavors, which one you like more is only a matter of personal taste. The hotpot stove at Tasty Pot has a built-in switch to turn off the fire. At Boiling Point, you have to ask a waiter to do that, which is less convenient. The service at Tasty Pot left a lot to be desired. Whenever we need something, we have to walk to the front desk to ask for it. The waitress never come by to give you any personal attention. The lobster hotpot is a unique flavor you can only get at Tasty Pot, not Boiling Point.”

Finn MacCool’s Irish Public House

Restaurant

“Food wasnt that great. Drinks were excellent. Service was good.”

Timeless Tea

Address: 1000 NE 50th St, Seattle, WA 98105, USA

Meal takeaway Cafe Restaurant

“Really adorable place. We stopped by for dessert and found these adorable bull dog chocolate & cheesecake mousse. They are delicious and a little hard to eat the face since it's so cute! The staff were nice and polite. I thought the peanut butter blended drink I got was ok - I was not very impressed with it as I was hoping for something that tastes similar to a peanut milkshake. But then again it is listed in the "health and beauty" category, so maybe I did it to myself 😅 Would definitely be open to trying other things on their menu.”

There is a boba-tea shop attached, with additional seating in more of a tea-shop atmosphere. I highly recommend for a quick and healthy lunch, or leisurely tea with friends.”

BB's Teriyaki Grill

Little Thai Restaurant

Address: 4142 Brooklyn Ave NE #105, Seattle, WA 98105, USA

Restaurant

“I've been going to this restaurant regularly for about a year now, and it may not be a world class place but it is a place where the food and service is excellent, as well as affordable for college students. For students on west campus, this is a place which you could visit forever and not get tired of the food.”

Pho Shizzle

Address: 4235 University Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105, USA

Restaurant

“I eat here almost every single day. It is my favorite place to eat and unwind. I find so much comfort coming here and having a bowl of hot veggie or shrimp pho with a pot of hot tea. I occasionally get their egg rolls and spring rolls as well. The food is always delicious and fresh and the staff is always so kind. I have walked in and gone straight to the restroom before and when I came out my food was already on a table for me. They know what I like to order and have memorized it. They take such good care of their customers there and the food is such good quality and I only ever pay about $10 for my pho and tea. I bring anyone I meet there and they love it as well. Such a wonderful business ❤️”

bb.q Chicken UW

Address: 4223 University Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105, USA

Restaurant

“DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE A NUT ALLERGY I ordered the golden fried chicken and had only two pieces, and then had an allergic reaction (I have a peanut/tree nut allergy) .There was an allergy warning written in small font on the menu that I didnt see (due to being in a hurry and not even thinking of checking cause peanuts are not a typical ingredient in the fried chicken I’d had till now) but no indication which menu items contained nuts. Even if so, I called the owners and asked if the golden fried chicken contained nuts which they believed the answer was no. My allergy thankfully isn’t severe and this is the first time cross contamination has been an issue for me so just take this warning more seriously than the usual ‘may contain ______’. The chicken however was good.”
