“Got a genuine greeting from Zeke behind counter when my wife and I walked in. Not just the typical hi be right with you. But a very genuine hello, and was extremely helpful and polite. Referred to my wife as ma'am. I asked the difference between two different burgers on the menu and he again knew there menu and was able to instantly say what I needed to know. Extremely great service. Food came fast and was oh so good. I'll be back soon. This place is the cleanest restaurant I've been to in a long time. Very very pleased with this establishment.”

“I gave this place a 3 for a couple of reasons the meat was that warm after toasting it the person seemed to be in a rush when i was the only one ordering and the knife was used to close my sandwich. The only thing that really got to.me was closing my sandwich with the knife, i have worked for a couple of subways and know for a fact that is something that they try to enforce not to do. Just because it sits in a bucket of ice that usually turns to water after 15 mins doesnt mean it's clean and i promise having that water transfer to your sandwhich from.this bucket is not pleasing”

“It took me 40 minutes from the time I walked in to this Subway until I walked out with my food just now. The 3 stars are for Kaety (I believe this is her name). She was the only employee working on the floor. She was able to get each customer in and out without issue, even the high maintenance customers who I eye rolled ????????♀️ she did her job smoothly and without hesitation. As someone in the customer service field and many years of food service, this is the type of employee to keep. Whether she was the lone ranger due to illness, negligent employees or management, she should receive some sort of bonus. At the very least the knowledge that someone noticed and appreciated her hard work and professionalism.”

I have been to countless buffets across the country, none of which have even come close to the level or variety and class presented at the Golden City buffet. “My husband and I always like going in when waitress Lori is working. Always great service, quick serving and Never a bad plate. She is attentive and makes you feel welcome. As well I do not have to ask for a refill on my coffee or soda. To be honest, I stopped coming here almost 5years ago due to such bad service. We stopped in from a long day of driving. We gave it a try, and met Lori and she has been Amazing every time. We almost always get our same seating. They have plenty of parking, the place is clean, and music is light and good. Down fall, Not liking the way they have blocked off the entrance to get in from Kelsey. Maybe something will be done. I know they closed it off so people couldn't turn left into Rite Aid from the highway.”

“Went here last valentines day. The restaurant was more packed than i had ever seen it before. The volume levels made me think of red robin, everyone knows how loud it is there. Service was great. Food was fantastic. We ordered a margarita. We wanted a larger one and my boyfriend made the mistake of saying he wanted a grande. BIGGEST MARGARITA OF MY LIFE!! This thing legit looked like it was in a fish bowl! It was shared between us and was made nicely. We were worried about the cost of this mega margarita come to find out it was only 13 dollars!! We were expecting a $25 drink for the size of it. We had a great time there, just as expected:)”

“Been living in Monroe for almost 2 years and finally this town has a staple restaurant. Run don't walk to Chongos because it's the best this town has got right now. Real authentic cooking, with owners who really put their heart into what they do. The menu is exactly the size it should be, they focus on what they do best, and that's it. “Jersey Mike's is always great. And, slightly better than Jimmy John's, or Subway. Thing is I like all of these places, they each have their own menu items that I like depending on what I want. The cool thing about Jersey Mike's is that they grill the subs, so you get nice hot chicken, or roast beef right off the grill, and its grilled with peppers, onions, jalapenos, etc.. The people at the Monroe, and Smokey Point locations I visit are always friendly.”

“People are nice. Food is ok, rice is very plain, flavorless. Beef and Lamb Mix Kabob was really good (according to my niece). **Note: the lunch portion comes with only one kabob for $11.95 and the dinner portion has two for $13.95. So I'd highly recommend you ask for the dinner portion (much better deal for the price). Otherwise they charge $4 for one extra kabob! French fries are yummy as is the dipping sauce. Salad is fresh. Grilled Prawns are 6 very large prawns, which is great, however they were flavorless, even though covered in onions and oily, tasteless liquid. I had to use the fries dipping sauce to give them taste! Clean restrooms and plenty of free parking with bus stops across the street. On the main strip in Monroe with shopping, restaurants, grocery all within walking distance.”
