“Such a special local restaurant. colorful and flavorful food. If you haven't had Honduran food, think delicious Mexican with a twist without being smothered in rice and beans. You simply can't go wrong here. Food is priced so affordably and is oh so good. The customer service is wonderful. They make you feel Alike family. A must try. You will go back.”

“My boyfriend brought me here in our first trip down to the states and I thought it was a very cute casual spot. Their service is always great, never pushy yet always attentive. The food the first time and the most recent visit we're spot on they're amazing. The baked goods always look phenomenal but I've yet to grab one on my way out, I'm always too full.”

“Hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had! Got a lavender latte, a Reuben, and a Caesar salad! The dressing was incredible and the sandwich was so good! I cannot rave about this place enough!! The service was friendly and fast! Enjoyable little seating area! Will be back!”

“Awesome food!!! Super friendly staff despite how busy they get. Also mostly all the servers wear really unique and beautiful earrings. Plus I like how they have coffee while you wait and they leave wine bottles of water at your table. (I drink a lot of water) They do VERY WELL with food allergies and restrictions.”

“Roses is my favorite spot on Orcas Island, among very good company of other lovely restaurants. I rue the days they’re closed (Sundays and Mondays) and have been known to plan a trip around their hours. Fresh pastas are often specials on the lunch menu, with homemade, perfectly cooked noodles in plentiful portions. I always get the pasta, in addition to whatever else my friends and I share. Their thin crust pizzas are delightful — flavorful but never heavy, with interesting flavor combos incorporating seasonal ingredients. Always, there’s at least one vegetarian option if you’re into that sort of thing. At breakfast, the potato nest is a must: a giant hashbrown with crispy edges and a creamy center of soft potatoes. It’s served with poached eggs and Serrano ham. Their pies and other sweets are also worth making room for, or taking with you when you go. If you have a Sunday ferry, I recommend snapping up sandwiches to go from the gourmet shop attached when you’re there on Saturday. Enjoy!”

“My girlfriend and I spent a wonderful morning in here while passing through the town on our west coast bicycle ride. The rain was intense and we decided to grab a coffee to wait it out. The rain didn't stop and neither did the coffee! We ended up drinking about 6 + we ate an amazing breakfast. The girl behind the counter (whose name escapes me) was super friendly and welcoming on that gross morning! It seemed over the course of the morning the whole town passed through here and I can see why! Highly Recommend!”

“A fun little place that I recommend to grab an awesome smoothie (tons of types, I enjoyed the carrot cake) as well as some tasty food. The decor is very welcoming as are the staff. The baked goods were stellar too, specifically the lemon scone and bacon cupcake.”

“Okay...think about the best muffin you've ever had. Now, multiply it by two and add a quaint Anacortes storefront. Yep, you've pretty much got the perfect muffin. The Store - located literally a block off the main drag into downtown - is worth a quick side trip. Their muffin selection is off the charts, featuring flavor combinations rarely seen in the muffin-challenged PNW. Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake? Yes please. Several varieties of chocolate and/or fruit? Um, yeah. Not to mention, these babies are HUGE. I've never actually finished one in a single sitting. Usually I eat the tempting muffin top first, then save the rest for later. The Store also has an incredible selection of wine (perfect spot to stop for a couple of bottles before you hit the islands), and other convenience store items plus a cute cafe in the back. They have coffee and espresso, and plenty of indoor seating if you want to enjoy your muffin on-the-spot (and avoid getting crumbs all over your car, don't ask me how I know). Oh, and did I mention the folks who work there are super friendly too? Win win!”

“ALWAYS an interesting experience at Sharis! Cool staff, very supportive within reason. I can't stress this enough, WITHIN REASON, they are helpful in every way that makes sense. I witnessed people being unreasonable almost every time I go out to a restaurant with a diverse menu (which they have here), being rude doesn't get you what you want. Anyway, the menu is updated often while keeping the classic, popular meals available.”

“The meal was good, the service was good, the location was close to my motel so that was good, the ambiance was casual. I wish that they had sugar free options, however. Everything there has sugar in it and it tastes really sweet. That is my only problem. I am going to give them 5 stars, but if you are looking for a sugar-free meal you should look someplace else.”

“Friendly staff. Cute environment. However the coffee and lattes were very nondescript. Just like you would get at a restaurant. I would expect better at a coffee shop. I appreciate the effort of having gluten free items and understand that they are hard to make but they just were not that good. The people in my family who could eat the regular items had a cupcake (truly beautiful) and a cookie (oh, I had a gf scone) but none of the items were finished. Too bad. It is a cute spot.”

“It has a cozy ambiance, pairing perfectly with the latte. We ordered the Third street burger and the pastrami on rye, both having good sized portions and great flavor. Topping it all is delicious tiramisu for dessert. Highly recommend the place, and definitely coming back here.”

“Gluten free bakery and bistro has wonderful fresh food. The food was excellent, they were very busy and freshly prepared food takes a few more minutes but worth the wait. Friendly staff and bake goods to take home. Highly recommended The main street has lots and little shops, a fun place to visit.”

“The two different Hashes we tried were excellent, butternut squash with bacon and the corned beef. The vegetables were fresh and tasty. The added bacon was crispy and smoky. The corned beef was succulent, bite-sized chunks with sliced red potatoes hash. The coffee was hot and dark, with lots of gluten free bakery goods, including fresh bread with homemade jams. We went to the one in La Conner, we're assuming that they're all this great!”

“The food here is excellent - tomato bisque, quiches, and tuna salad sandwich were big hits with our table. Nice fresh ingredients. Plenty of veggie options. A few beers and cider to choose from if one is in the mood. And the place is *right* on the water. Like at high tide it feels like you're floating almost. The ambiance is really nice too. Very homey. The server (I think one of the owners) was really nice and personable, made sure we were taken care of. I am really surprised this place wasn't more busy, I guess because it's down the stars. ALSO protip: they are open in the afternoon when most of the other restaurants shut down to prep for dinner”

“Are usual haunt. Came after lunch rush and there was a line. Something about accepting cards. I believe the franchise owners were working the front line. They also doubled as servers. Back half seemed organized and keeping up. Don't know if there were call offs or they were saving hours. Food as always great. Hadn't seen the owners before. Maybe ownership changed.”

“The location is very nice with easy parking. Nice big booths inside as well as a very neat cabin look. We ordered the Greek egg scramble, veggie omelette and split an order of pancakes. The scramble and omelette were average in flavor and cost. Actually I rarely use sauces in my eggs but did use a generous amount of Tabasco to add SOME flavor to my Greek scramble. The coffee was not good. My first sip was bitter and after stirring it some more there were some brown flecks swirling around it as well as an oily shimmer to it. The pancakes tasted odd and had brown charred flecks on them. They were a little tough to cut through and honestly had no flavor as well. No amount of syrup or jam was able to improve the pancake experience and for the first time I did not take my left over pancakes home. We ate 1/2 a pancake between the two of us. I generally give places a second shot but find there was nothing worth coming back for. Shame, it is a very nice location for breakfast. Oh I almost forgot, their biscuit with strawberry jam was delightful and their waitress Erin was very nice and genuine.”

“This is my new favorite place! Love the decor! The food is delicious and very well made. I was taken back by the price but thought I'll treat myself and my son. It was worth it! The portions were great for the price. We had the avocado toast...Yum and chicken quesadilla.”

“5 stars for the fresh pan dulce my husband brought home today! I wasn't with him, so I can't say much about the service. He did say the man came out with a big smile on his face rolling out a fresh batch of pan dulce! Good enough for me.”
