“A local favorite in Long Beach with a wide selection of pastries, cookies muffins, donuts and a deli menu. It was hard to select a few items and the apple turnover, the cinnamon twist and the cranberry white chocolate scone were hard to pass up. The apple turnover was really big and had the right balance of flavors. The cinnamon twist was big and had a nice sweet taste to it. The scone was moist and not to sweet. A deli menu features salads, soups, chowder, sandwiches and a breakfast menu that is served all day. Located on Pacific Avenue South near 11th street. Parking is limited to the nearby streets. A nice place to stop for baked goods or for a bite to eat with friendly service in the heart of Long Beach.”

“The service was great and the food was good. Normally that's an easy 4 star in my book, but this is Leavenworth. Smashed between a river and some mountains, space is at a premium. Louie's does the best with the space they have and that's a lot. The other Leavenworth side effect is price. I could be wrong here, I know that the price of everything is going up, but my experience with tourist destinations are tourist prices. Granted, there is a McDonald's just down the road if I wanted cheap, but Louie's just wasn't my cup of tea...or coffee. It's not a bad place and I hope, if you are in town during breakfast, you give them a try. The staff are truly wonderful and go out of their way to make your meal there the best. Maybe it just wasn't my morning.”

“The breakfast was great. Aspen condos are nice and quiet but old and several things were broken or didn't work. Great location. The Alpine Spa is AWESOME. A bit pricey for the condos. If you want to enjoy a relaxing getaway do not stay in the hotel side, grab a condo or suite. Private and quiet. No room service. Beds are comfy. Spa bath is great.”

(For example, they had an Octoberfest tasting of German and Austrian wines this week) The owners are very friendly and really know their wine. They even had a good non-alcoholic rose available. “My family and I stopped by this afternoon and it was amazing! I saw that they re-opened and wanted to give them a try. We ordered a polish dog and all beef hot dog and they did not disappoint! They were not only delicious but huge with toppings to boot! I ordered an iced Nutella Squall with almond milk on the way out and it was the perfect treat to end our lunch outing. “Moe's has been an excellent addition to Darrington. When they opened it was very close to my birthday, my wife wanted to suprise me with biscuits and gravy one of my favorites. However, she was a little late, and we didn't know closing happens on the biscuits and gravy. My wife explained the situation and even though the window for biscuits and gravy had passed, they offered her some and explained that, "for birthday's, we can make an exception." I was very happy to wake up and hear the story. The coffee is excellent, the people are nice, I am very pleased to see them.”

“Great night in the Columbia Gorge!. - we needed a get-a-way close to home and found Hotel Stevenson. Old charm, new decor. This recently renovated charmer is very comfortable - great rooms, great views an in hotel food and beverage. We found a nice list of beer and cider on tap, wine, and nice list of small plate options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Owners and staff are warm and friendly. The booking process was easy as could be. I recommend a night or two in a charming town, in a charming room, in the Hotel Stevenson.”
